Farcana has developed a smart a gaming input device, that, apart from being a tool for the gamer to use in the process of gameplay, is also a suitable tool to collect biomedical information about the gamer, which after analysis by the artificial intelligence (AI) system allows informing the gamer about whether the individual is in a state of tilt. Tilt itself is a poor emotional state of the individual that appears due to the latter’s inability to control one’s emotions in the process of gameplay. The gamer can be either winning or losing, yet the fact that he/she can neither control nor even acknowledge the emotional state is tilt. The latter is an immense factor of impact on the overall success of the individual in the sphere of gaming and one’s rating in cybersport. This paper has analyzed numerous studies and patents on the topic at hand. The available literature has provided the necessary insight on the topic of tilt and why it is important to help the gamer acknowledge one’s state, especially given deteriorating results. Also, we have proposed a framework for the AI system for tilt recognition.

This paper presents both results of a numerical modeling and an experimental study of the influence of various parameters on the radiation characteristics of barrier discharge lamp working in He/D2O *** is obtained that the intensity of ultraviolet radiation is a non-monotonic function of both the water and the helium *** experimental results also show that the increase of both the discharge voltage and the discharge pulse frequency leads to the increase of radiation *** comparison between the experimentally obtained data and the results of numerical modeling allows us to define the mechanism controlling the ultraviolet radiation in He/D2O mixture at various parameters.

Assessment of the State of Forests Based on Joint Statistical Processing of Sentinel-2B Remote Sensing Data and the Data from Network of Ground-Based ICP-Forests Sample Plots

The research was carried out on the territory of the Karelian Isthmus of the Leningrad Region using Sentinel-2B images and data from a network of ground sample plots. The ground sample plots are located in the studied territory mainly in a regular manner, laid and surveyed according to the ICP-Forests methodology with some additions. The total area of the sample plots is a small part of the entire study area. One of the objectives of the study was to determine the possibility of using the k-NN (nearest neighbor method) to assess the state of forests throughout the whole studied territory by joint statistical processing of data from ground sample plots and Sentinel-2B imagery. The data of the ground-based sample plots were divided into 2 equal parts, one for the application of the k-NN method, the second for checking the results of the method application. The systematic error in determining the mean damage class of the tree stands on sample plots by the k-NN method turned out to be zero, the random error is equal to one point. These results offer a possibility to determine the state of the forest in the entire study area. The second objective of the study was to examine the possibility of using the short-wave vegetation index (SWVI) to assess the state of forests. As a result, a close statistically reliable dependence of the average score of the state of plantations and the value of the SWVI index was established, which makes it possible to use the established relationship to determine the state of forests throughout the studied territory. The joint use and statistical processing of remotely sensed data and ground-based test areas by the two studied methods make it possible to assess the state of forests throughout the large studied area within the image. The results obtained can be used to monitor the state of forests in large areas and design appropriate forestry protective measures.

Objective:To determine the diagnostic value of ultrasound signs of urinary stones less than or equal to 10 mm and to determine clinico-radiological variants of ureteric ***:A total of 455 ultrasound investigations were performed in patients referring to emergency department with urolithiasis and symptoms suspected of ureteric colic between January 2021 and May *** addition to microscopic evaluation of urine sediment to detect different crystals and non-contrast spiral computed tomography to detect stones,B-mode and color Doppler sonography was performed to assess the presence of acoustic shadow(AS)and twinkle artifacts(TA)as possible signs of stone(s)in ***:While the sensitivity and specificity of AS and TA were higher than 90%in patients with stones greater than 5 mm;positive prognostic values of these parameters were found to be extremely low for stones with sizes of 1-3 mm with specificity and sensitivity values not exceeding 53%.The sensitivity and specificity of AS and TA in the upper and lower ureters were higher for stones greater than or equal to 5 than for compared to those less than 5 *** the same time,the diagnostic values of TA and AS for middle ureter stones were very *** most prevalent clinico-radiological variants of ureteric colic were types I,III,and V being observed in 39%,28% and 21% cases,***:Our results demonstrate that TA and AS parameters seem to have a very low sensitivity and specificity in the diagnosis of urinary stones less than 5 *** diagnostic value of TA and AS increase significantly in stones greater than or equal to 5 ***,clinicians need to be very careful for overestimating the diagnostic values of TA and AS for stones less than 5 mm and non-contrast spiral computed tomography must be the method of choice for patients presenting to emergency department with ureteric colic.

We propose and theoretically and numerically investigate narrowband integrated filters consisting of identical resonant dielectric ridges on the surface of a single-mode dielectric slab waveguide. The proposed composite structures operate near a bound state in the continuum(BIC) and enable spectral filtering of transverseelectric-polarized guided modes propagating in the waveguide. We demonstrate that by proper choice of the distances between the ridges, flat-top reflectance profiles with steep slopes and virtually no sidelobes can be obtained using just a few ridges. In particular, the structure consisting of two ridges can optically implement the second-order Butterworth filter, whereas at a larger number of ridges, excellent approximations to higher-order Butterworth filters can be achieved. Owing to the BIC supported by the ridges constituting the composite structure, the flat-top reflection band can be made arbitrarily narrow without increasing structure size. In addition to the filtering properties, the investigated structures support another type of BIC-the Fabry–Perot BIC-arising when the distances between adjacent ridges meet the Fabry–Perot resonance condition. In the vicinity of the Fabry–Perot BIC, an effect similar to electromagnetically induced transparency is observed, namely, sharp transmittance peaks against the background of a wide transmittance dip.

The elastic indentation modulus and hardness of standard bulk materials and advanced thin films were determined by using the nanoindentation technique followed by the Oliver- Pharr post-treatment. After measurements with different loading/unloading schemes on chemically polished bulk titanium a substantial decrease of both modulus and hardness vs an increasing loading time was found. Then, hard nanostructured TiBN and TiCrBN thin films deposited by magnetron sputtering （using multiphase targets） on substrates of high roughness （sintered hard metal） and low roughness （silicon） were studied. Experimental modulus and hardness characterized by using two different nanoindenter tools were within the limits of standard deviation. However, a strong effect of roughness on the spread of the experimental values was observed and it was found that hardness and elastic indentation modulus obeyed a Gaussian distribution. The experimental data were discussed together with scanning probe microscopy （SPM） images of typical imprints taken after the nanoindentation tests and the local topographyls strong correlation with the results of nanoindentation was described.

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is the most common chronic liver disease,leading to fibrosis,cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma and also associated with increased cardiovascular disease *** pathogenesis of NAFLD is not fully understood,although NAFLD is thought to be a hepatic form of metabolic *** is an increasing understanding of the role of microbiota disturbances in NAFLD pathogenesis,and as with many other conditions affecting the microbiota,NAFLD may be a novel risk factor for Clostridioides difficile(***)colonization(CDC)and *** infection(CDI).CDI is an emerging nosocomial disease,and community-acquired cases of infection are growing,probably due to an increase in CDC *** association of NAFLD with CDI has been shown in only 4 studies to date,three of which included less than 1000 patients,although the frequency of NAFLD in these studies was observed in almost 20%of the total patient *** data revealed that NAFLD is a risk factor for CDI development and,moreover,is a risk factor for intestinal complications of *** studies are needed to investigate this association and move forward CDC and CDI screening efforts for this group of patients.

The demand for cosmetology services has been recently growing in Ukraine,but there is no proper legal regulation for their *** aim of the article is to analyze the current status and specific features of legal regulation for the provision of cosmetology services in Ukraine,as well as to suggest the improvements to Ukrainian legislation in this *** main objective is to distinguish the problems and to develop suggestions to improve regulatory legal acts regulating the provision of cosmetic services in *** to identify the specific features of the current state of legal regulation in regard to the provision of cosmetology services in Ukraine were the legislation and case law of Ukraine,the works of Ukrainian scholars,analytical materials and Internet *** methodological basis of the research is general and special methods of scientific cognition,the use of which is due to specific features of the legal regulation of the market of cosmetology *** has been stated that there is currently no normatively established procedure and specific features for the implementation of activities for the provision of cosmetology services in Ukrainian laws;there are also no standards for their provision,treatment of complications and training of qualified *** author has formulated proposals to improve the legislation regulating the provision of cosmetology services and cosmetic care to the Ukrainian *** Ministry of Health of Ukraine was offered to develop and approve a regulatory legal act governing the procedure for the provision of cosmetology services and the list of services that can be provided exclusively by health professionals.
