Until recently,Limosa limosa melanuroides was thought to be the only subspecies of Black-tailed Godwit in the East Asian-Australasian *** this reason,all previous occurrences and counts of Black-tailed Godwits in the flyway have been assigned to ***,a larger-bodied subspecies,bohaii,has recently been discovered in the *** a result,the occurrence of Black-tailed Godwits in the flyway needs to be reconsidered such that the specific distribution of each subspecies becomes *** this end,we developed a simple discriminant function to assign individuals to subspecies based on their bill and wing ***-validation with individuals known to be bohaii or melanuroides,based on molecular analysis,showed the developed function to be 97.7%*** applied to measurements of godwits captured at 22 sites across 9 countries in East-southeast Asia and Australia,we found that bohaii and melanuroides occurred at most sites and overlapped in their distribution from Kamchatka to *** examined photos from all along the flyway to verify this surprising result,confirming that both subspecies co-occur in most *** on these results,we hypothesise that bohaii and melanuroides from the west of their breeding ranges mostly migrate over Chinese *** of both subspecies from the east of their ranges are expected to migrate along the Pacific *** encourage ringing groups in East-southeast Asia and Australia to use this simple method to keep adding knowledge about Black-tailed Godwits in the East Asian-Australasian Flyway.

This study introduces multifunctional silica nanoparticles that exhibit both high photothermal and chemodynamic therapeutic activities,in addition to *** activity of the silica nanoparticles is derived from their plasmonic properties,which are a result of infusing the silica nanoparticles with multiple Cu2-xs *** infusion process is facilitated by a recoating of the silica nanoparticles with a cationic *** key factors that enable the internal incorporation of the Cu2-xs cores and the external deposition of red-emitting carbon dots are *** Cu2-xs cores within the silica nanoparticles exhibit both self-boosting generation of reactive oxygen species and high photothermal conversion efficacy,which are essential for photothermal and chemodynamic *** silica nanoparticles’small size(no more than 70 nm)and high colloidal stability are prerequisites for their cell *** internalization of the red-emitting silica nanoparticles within cells is visualized using fluorescence microscopy *** chemodynamic activity of the silica nanoparticles is associated with their dark cytotoxicity,and the mechanisms of cell death are evaluated using an apoptotic *** photothermal activity of the silica nanoparticles is demonstrated by significant cell death under near-infrared(1064 nm)irradiation.

A tree-ring width chronology of 442 years(1567-2008) was developed from Tibetan junipers(***) derived from south Tibet in western *** versions of chronology were produced according to standard dendrochronological *** correlation and response analysis displays a high correlation between the standard tree ring-width chronology and observed annual mean precipitation series during the period *** on a linear regression model,an annual(prior August to current July) precipitation for the past 229 years was *** is the first well-calibrated precipitation reconstruction for the Nanggarze region,south *** results show that relatively wet years with above-average precipitation occurred in 1780-1807,1854-1866,1886-1898,1904-1949,1967-1981 and 2000-2008,whereas relatively dry years with below-average precipitation prevailed during 1808-1853,1867-1885,1899-1903,1950-1966 and *** dry/wet periods during 1890s,1910s,1940s-1960s and 1980s were also identified from other moisture reconstructions of nearby regions,indicating a synchronous climatic variation in south *** change beginning in 1888 was detected,revealing a transition from wet to dry conditions in south *** spectrum analysis reveals significant cycles of 28-year,5.5-5.6-year and 3.3-year during the past 200 years.

Halide perovskite light-emitting electrochemical cells are a novel type of the perovskite optoelectronic devices that differs from the perovskite light-emitting diodes by a simple monolayered ***,we develop a perovskite electrochemical cell both for light emission and detection,where the active layer consists of a composite material made of halide perovskite microcrystals,polymer support matrix,and added mobile *** perovskite electrochemical cell of CsPbBr3:PEO:LiTFsI composition,emitting light at the wavelength of 523 nm,yields the luminance more than 7000 cd/m2 and electroluminescence efficiency of 4.3 lm/*** device fabricated on a silicon substrate with transparent single-walled carbon nanotube film as a top contact exhibits 40%lower Joule heating compared to the perovskite optoelectronic devices fabricated on conventional ITO/glass ***,the device operates as a photodetector with a sensitivity up to 0.75 A/W,specific detectivity of 8.56×1011 Jones,and linear dynamic range of 48 *** technological potential of such a device is proven by demonstration of 24-pixel indicator display as well as by successful device miniaturization by creation of electroluminescent images with the smallest features less than 50μm.

In this study,we examined the effect of synanthropic house mouse(Mus musculus)urine odor on catching probability of small mammals to live *** conducted a series of field experiments in August 2016 and 2017 in a natural forests of the northwestern Moscow Region(Russia).small mammals were trapped at two 4-ha fields using capture-mark-recapture technique by setting 200 live traps(100 points,2 traps per point)within each *** trap in each pair was odorless(control)with bait only,whereas the other one was odor-baited with 20μL of the urine of a synanthropic house *** analysis was based on the data collected from 2 rodent species(bank vole Myodes glareolus,herb field mouse Apodemus uralensis)and 3 shrew species(common shrew sorex araneus,Laxmann’s shrew sorex caecutiens,and Eurasian pygmy shrew sorex minutus).As a result,only bank voles significantly avoided odor-baited live *** generalized linear mixed models,we showed that the choice of a trap by bank voles depended on their age,whereas the probability of repeated capture to a certain live trap was related to their prior *** discuss the possible role of components of synanthropic house mouse urine in the population management of exoanthropic small mammals.
