Prostate cancer is one of the diseases worldwide that causes cancer-related deaths in men. Metformin is an antidiabetic drug that has been in use for ov.r two decades for the treatment of Type II Diabetes mellitus (dm2). The purpose of this study was to ev.luate the anti-proliferativ. property of metformin hydrochloride on androgen-sensitiv., LNCAP and androgen-insensitiv., PC-3 human prostate cancer cell lines at different concentrations (μM and mM) using 3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay. Metformin hydrochloride displayed a stronger cytotoxicity on the androgen-insensitiv. PC-3 than on the androgen-sensitiv. human prostate cancer cell lines. For both cell lines, the antiproliferativ. activ.ty of metformin hydrochloride was best displayed at 0.1 mM concentration with av.rage cell death percentage of 60% after 120-hour exposure.

Detailed mineralogical, bulk-rock geochemical and Sr-Nd isotopic data for the recently discov.red Ahobil kimberlite(Pipe-16) from the Wajrakarur kimberlite field(WKF), Eastern Dharwar craton(EDC),southern India, are presented. Two generations of compositionally distinct oliv.ne, Ti-poor phlogopite showing orangeitic ev.lutionary trends, spinel displaying magmatic trend-1, abundant perov.kite, Tirich hydrogarnet, calcite and serpentine are the v.rious mineral constituents. On the basis of(i) liquidus mineral composition,(ii) bulk-rock chemistry, and(iii) Sr-Nd isotopic composition, we show that Ahobil kimberlite shares sev.ral characteristic features of archetypal kimberlites than orangeites and lamproites. Geochemical modelling indicate Ahobil kimberlite magma deriv.tion from small-degree melting of a carbonated peridotite source hav.ng higher Gd/Yb and lower La/Sm in contrast to those of orangeites from the Eastern Dharwar and Bastar cratons of Indian shield. The T_(dm) Nd model age(～2.0 Ga) of the Ahobil kimberlite is(i) significantly older than those(1.5～1.3 Ga) reported for Wajrakarur and Narayanpet kimberlites of EDC,(ii) indistinguishable from those of the Mesoproterozoic EDC lamproites,and(iii) strikingly coincides with the timing of the amalgamation of the Columbia supercontinent. High bulk-rock Fe-Ti contents and wide v.riation in oxygen fugacity fO_2, as inferred from perov.kite oxybarometry, suggest non-prospectiv. nature of the Ahobil kimberlite for diamond.

The title compound, 〔NH 4〕 6〔(CH 3CO) 2(Mo 8O 28 )〕·4H 2O, was produced from (NH 4) 6〔Mo 7O 24 〕·4H 2O aqueous solution in the presence of N 2H 4·H 2SO 4 and its structure has been determined by X ray single crystal analysis. The crystallographic data: C 4H 38 Mo 8N 6O 34 , M r =1481.92, triclinic, P1, a=8.127(2), b = 10\^373(2), c = 12.383(3) , α=99.51(3), β=105.47(3), γ=112.92(3)°, v.883.0(3) 3, Z=1, D c =2.787g/cm 3, F(000)= 712, μ =2.864 mm -1 , Final R =0.0368 and wR =0.0924 for 2926 reflections with I>2σ(I ). The X ray crystal structure analysis rev.als that there is one independent molecule in the unit cell of the title compound which contains one centrosymmetric diacetyloctamolybdate anion, six ammonium cations and four water molecules.

Purpose:The aim of the present study was to determine the association between adherence to the 24-h mov.ment guidelines during middle adolescence and glucose outcomes(glycated hemoglobin and fasting glucose)and type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2dm)in adulthood,14 and 22 years ***:We analyzed data from apparently healthy adolescents aged 12-18 years who participated in Wav.sⅠandⅡ(1994-1996,n=14,738),Wav.Ⅳ(2008-2009,n=8913),and Wav. v.2016-2018,n=3457)of the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent to Adult Health(Add Health)in the United *** activ.ty,screen time,and sleep duration were measured using questionnaires,and the 24-h guidelines were defined as:5 or more times moderate-to-v.gorous physical activ.ty per week,≤2 h per day of screen time,and 9-11 h of sleep for 12-13 years and 8-10 h for 14-17 *** and v.nous whole blood was collected and analyzed to determine glycated hemoglobin and fasting glucose for Wav.sⅣandⅤ,***:Only 2.1%of the adolescents met all the 3 guidelines,and 37.8%met none of *** both wav.sⅣandⅤ,adolescents who met physical activ.ty and screen time guidelines had lower odds of T2dm in adulthood than those who did not meet any of these guidelines(Wav.Ⅳ;prev.lence ratio(PR)=0.57,95%confidence interv.l(95%CI):0.21-0.89;Wav. v.PR=0.43,95%CI:0.32-0.74).Only for Wav. v.did adolescents who met all 3 guidelines hav. lower odds of T2dm at follow-up compared with those who did not meet any of these guidelines(PR=0.47,95%CI:0.24-0.91).Also,for each increase in meeting one of the 24-h recommendations,the odds of T2dm decreased by 18%(PR=0.82,95%CI:0.61-0.99)and 15%(PR=0.85,95%CI:0.65-0.98)in adulthood for Wav.sⅣandⅤ,***:Promoting all 24-h mov.ment guidelines in adolescence,especially physical activ.ty and screen time,is important for lowering the potential risk of T2dm in adulthood.

To obtain excellent magnetic properties of machinable REPM prepared by directional solidification (DS) technology, Space A, a composition area with theta=0 degrees similar to 5 degrees where easy axis is parallel to solidified direction of alloys, has been established in Zr-Sm-La-Co-Cu-Fe system. In 2/17+1/5+Co, and 2/17+1/5 region near Co phase of Space A, one obtains: v.f = 80.933 - 2.739Zr - 1.828Sm - 0.773Co - 0.147Cu + 0.415Fe + 0.218La Nonequilibrium solidification process of alloys in 2/17+1/5+Co region, is as follows: L-->Co, L-->2/17, L+2/17-->1/5 and L-->1/(5-x)+1/(5+x). The product of partially completed peritectic reaction, and 1/(5-x) and 1/(5+x) phases can all be transformed into a homogeneous 1/5 phase after solution treatment in 1413 K for 5 h. Containing 3 similar to 6% Co phase magnetically hardened by 0.5 similar to 2.5% v. the DS magnets hav. been achiev.d with both improv.d toughness and excellent coerciv. force of 520 kA/m.

The photophysical properties of Anthrylacrylic ester were inv.stigated in v.rious solv.nts using steady-state and time-resolv.d fluorescence techniques. The dual fluorescence was observ.d in v.rious solv.nts of different polarity functions. The emission bands observ.d are around 400 nm (band I) and 480 nm (band II) for 350 nm and 390 nm excitation at low concentrations (10–5 mol·dm–3) but at higher concentrations (10–3 mol·dm–3) only the emission (band II) at 480 nm alone was observ.d. The emission band observ.d around 400 nm shifts from 390 nm to 420 nm (shift 30 nm) when the excitation wav.length was v.ried from 300 nm to 380 nm and the emission band at 480 nm shifts from 430 nm to 510 nm (shift 80 nm) for the change of excitation wav.length from 380 nm to 400 nm. Howev.r, both emissions were observ.d for 380 nm excitation at lower concentrations. Solv.tochromic shifts of electronic absorption and fluorescence emissions (band I & II) as a function of polarity functions were analyzed and the changes in dipole moment of the molecule was estimated (Δμ = 3.36 D & 5.98 D). Fluorescence decays monitored ov.r each emission maxima showed bi-exponential behav.or, and yielded two lifetime components respectiv.ly in the range 0.97 - 7.1 ns (at λem = 400 nm) and 0.34 - 7.23 ns (at λem = 480 nm). Based on the steady-state and time-resolv.d emission measurements emission band I (400 nm) and emission band II (480 nm) are respectiv.ly assigned as due to locally excited state (Trans-forms) and due to isomers (Cis-form).

Mineralogical,geochemical and isotopic(Sr and Nd) studies on the recently reported ca. 124 Ma'anorogenic lamproite' dyke from the Palanpur area, Kutch seismogenic rift zone, northwestern India, are presented. We propose a new classification for the dyke as a damtjernite(ultramafic lamprophyre; UML)based on its porphyritic-panidiomorphic texture, abundance of phlogopite, presence of nepheline in the groundmass, and the composition of liquidus phases such as oliv.ne, phlogopite, magnetite, and clinopyroxene(diopside). The Palanpur UML is primitiv.(Mg# =74-77),silica-undersaturated(SiO_2v.nce(LIP). Bulk-rock(^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr)_i(0.70460-0.70461) and ε_(N)d(t)(+2.56 to-0.69) of the Palanpur UML signify deriv.tion from a slightly depleted mantle source similar to that of asthenospheric magmas such as OIB. This is further attested to by the high incompatible trace element ratios(v.z., La/Ba, Nb/U, Nb/La and Ta/Yb) that are typical of plume-type magmas. Howev.r, the Neoproterozoic T_(dm) depleted mantle Nd model ages( ～655-919 Ma) also necessitate some inv.lv.ment of a lithospheric mantle component in its genesis. High bulk-rock Fe_2 O_3~t and TiO_2 contents require the inv.lv.ment of a fertile peridotitic mantle source, whereas high La/Yb(60-80) implies a control by residual garnet. Higher Rb/Sr and lower Ba/Rb suggest phlogopite as a residual phase and high Nb and lower La/Sm fav.ur carbonatite, rather than silicate melt as metasomatising agent. Low degrees of partial melting of a primitiv. garnet lherzolite mantle can account for the observ.d REE patterns in the Palanpur UML. The Palanpur UML shares a temporal similarity to the Kerguelen plume-deriv.d Rajmahal basalts and associated alkaline rocks from the eastern India. The tectonomagmatic

AIM:To construct Hsp90 antisense RNA eukaryotic expression v.ctor, transfect it into SGC7901 and SGC7901/v.R of MDR-type human gastric cancer cell lines, HCC7402 of human hepatic cancer and Ec109 of human esophageal cancer cell lines, and to study the cell cycle distribution of the gene transected cells and their response to chemotherapeutic ***:A 1.03kb cDNA sequence of Hsp90beta was obtained from the primary plasmid phHSP90 by EcoR I and BamH I nuclease digestion and was cloned to the EcoR I and BamH I site of the pcDNA by T4DNA ligase and an antisense orientation of Hsp90beta expression v.ctor was constructed. The constructs were transfected with lipofectamine and positiv. clones were selected with G418. The expression of RNA was determined with dot blotting and RNase protection assay, and the expression of Hsp90 protein determined with western blot. Cell cycle distribution of the transfectants was analyzed with flow cytometry, and the drug sensitiv.ty of the transfectants to Adriamycin (ADR), v.ncrinstine (v.R), mitomycin (MMC) and cyclophosphamide (CTX) with MTT and intracellular drug concentration of the transfectants was determined with flow ***:In EcoR I and BamH I restriction analysis, the size and the direction of the cloned sequence of Hsp90beta remained what had been designed and the gene constructs were named ***-SGC7901, AH-SGC7901/v.R, AH-HCC7402 and AH-Ec109 cell clones all expressed Hsp90 anti-sense RNA. The expression of Hsp90 was down-regulated in AH-SGC7901, AH-SGC7901/v.R, AH-HCC7402 and AH-Ec109 cell clones. Cell cycle distribution was changed differently. In AH-SGC7901/v.R and AH-Ec109 cells, G(1) phase cells were increased; S phase and G(2) phase cells were decreased as compared with their parental cell lines.
