Sammon Quadratic Recurrent Multilayer Deep Classifier for Legal Document Analytics

In recent years,machine learning algorithms and in particular deep learning has shown promising results when used in the field of legal domain.The legal field is strongly affected by the problem of information overload,due to the large amount of legal material stored in textual form.Legal text processing is essential in the legal domain to analyze the texts of the court events to automatically predict smart decisions.With an increasing number of digitally available documents,legal text processing is essential to analyze documents which helps to automate various legal domain tasks.Legal document classification is a valuable tool in legal services for enhancing the quality and efficiency of legal document review.In this paper,we propose Sammon Keyword Mapping-based Quadratic Discriminant Recurrent Multilayer Perceptive Deep Neural Classifier(SKM-QDRMPDNC),a system that applies deep neural methods to the problem of legal document classification.The SKM-QDRMPDNC technique consists of many layers to perform the keyword extraction and classification.First,the set of legal documents are collected from the dataset.Then the keyword extraction is performed using SammonMapping technique based on the distance measure.With the extracted features,Quadratic Discriminant analysis is applied to performthe document classification based on the likelihood ratio test.Finally,the classified legal documents are obtained at the output layer.This process is repeated until minimum error is attained.The experimental assessment is carried out using various performance metrics such as accuracy,precision,recall,F-measure,and computational time based on several legal documents collected from the dataset.The observed results validated that the proposed SKM-QDRMPDNC technique provides improved performance in terms of achieving higher accuracy,precision,recall,and F-measure with minimum computation time when compared to existing methods.

Impact of X-radiation in the management of COVID-19 disease

Coronaviruses are a diverse group of viruses that infect both animals and humans.Even though the existence of coronavirus and its infection to humans is not new,the 2019-novel coronavirus(nCoV)caused a major burden to individuals and society i.e.,anxiety,fear of infection,extreme competition for hospitalization,and more importantly financial liability.The nCoV infection/disease diagnosis was based on non-specific signs and symptoms,biochemical parameters,detection of the virus using reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction(RTPCR),and X-ray-based imaging.This review focuses on the consolidation of potentials of X-ray-based imaging modality[chest-X radiography(CXR)and chest computed tomography(CT)]and low-dose radiation therapy(LDRT)for screening,severity,and management of COVID-19 disease.Reported studies suggest that CXR contributed significantly toward initial rapid screening/diagnosis and CT-imaging to monitor the disease severity.The chest CT has high sensitivity up to 98%and low specificity for diagnosis and severity of COVID-19 disease compared to RT-PCR.Similarly,LDRT compliments drug therapy in the early recovery/Less hospital stays by maintaining the physiological parameters better than the drug therapy alone.All the results undoubtedly demonstrated the evidence that X-ray-based technology continues to evolve and play a significant role in human health care even during the pandemic.

Mongolian spots:How important are they?

Mongolian spots(MS) are congenital birthmarks seen most commonly over the lumbosacral area. They are bluish-green to black in color and oval to irregular in shape. They are most commonly found in individuals of African or Asian ethnic background. Although these lesions resolve by one to two years of age, widespread, extrasacral and dark colored MS sometimes persist into adulthood. Aberrant MS over occiput, temple, mandibular area, shoulders and limbs may be confused with other dermal melanocytoses and bruises secondary to child abuse, thus necessitating documentation at birth. Although traditionally believed to be benign in nature, they have now been shown to co-exist with inborn errors of metabolism, most commonly GM1 gangliosidosis and mucopolysaccharidosis type Ⅰ(Hurler's disease), followed by mucopolysaccharidosis type Ⅱ(Hunter's syndrome), mucolipidosis, Niemann-Pick disease and mannosidosis. They have also been seen to co-exist with various vascular or other pigmented birthmarks like café-au-lait macules. Co-existing Mongolian spots and vascular birthmarks like nevus flammeus, nevus anemicus or nevus spilus is termed as phakomatosis pigmentovascularis. This review focuses on the important associations of Mongolian spots and stresses upon the importance of screening babies with extensive MS.

voltage direct current(HVDC)transmission lines are being constructed throughout the world,aided by advancements in power electronics and the potential value to transfer power between distant areas and off-shore locations.Multiple HVDC lines within and across large AC interconnections could bring about economic benefits such as interregional capacity exchange and transfer of low-cost,distant electric energy directly to load centers.In addition,network configuration of HVDC lines could result in additional benefits that have not been deeply studied.This paper describes the modeling process for continentallevel power system interconnections with the addition of multiple HVDC lines configured as a macrogrid.The models used for study are based on industry-accepted power-flow and dynamic system models for the North American Eastern and Western Interconnections.The model provides insight on feasibility and initial steady-state and stability tests of the HVDC macrogrid and its interactions with the existing electricity infrastructure,opening the door to analysis of the technical value of such a macrogrid.

Amelioration of Aluminium Toxicity in Pigeon Pea [Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp.] Plant by 24-Epibrassinolide

The effect of 24-epibrassinolide on growth of pigeon pea [Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp.] under aluminium toxicity was studied. 24-EBL reduced the impact of Al stress on plant growth. Particularly 24-EBL reduced the inhibitory impact of aluminium toxicity on root growth which was further manifested in overall improvement of vegetative growth. Application of 24-epibrassinolide removed the inhibitory influence of Al nodulation. The growth stimulation in Cajanus plants by 24-EBL under Al stress was associated with elevated levels of chlorophylls, nucleic acids and soluble proteins. 24-Epibrassinolide application enhanced proline content in Al3+ stressed Cajanus plants. Further, the supplementation of 24-epibrassinolide to Al stress treatments increased the activities of antioxidative enzymes viz., catalase [EC 1.***.1.6];peroxidase [EC 1.***.1.7];superoxide dismutase [EC 1.***.1.1] and ascorbate peroxidase [EC 1.***.1.11]. Lipid peroxidation induced by Al was found reduced with the supplementation of 24-epibrassinolide. The present studies demonstrated the ameliorating capability of 24-epibrassinolide on the Al induced inhibition of plant growth of C. cajan.

A case on hemiballismus due to uncontrolled diabetes

Uncontrolled diabetes gives rise to severe systemic complications that affect different systems of our body. Among those complications, hemiballismus is a rare manifestation that occurs due to hyperglycemia and can be reversible in most cases by decreasing elevated sugar levels to normal range. Here, we present a case of a patient with diabetic history since 10 years ago, who presented with uncontrolled jerky movements on one side of his body since 15 d, and he recovered after appropriate therapy. Medication adherence in diabetic patients and regular monitoring of blood sugar levels are important.

BACKGROUND A diverse country like India may have variable intensive care units(ICUs)practices at state and city levels.AIM To gain insight into clinical services and processes of care in ICUs in India,this would help plan for potential educational and quality improvement interventions.METHODS The Indian ICU needs assessment research group of diverse-skilled individuals was formed.A pan-India survey"Indian National ICU Needs"assessment(ININ 2018-I)was designed on google forms and deployed from July 23rd-August 25th,2018.The survey was sent to select distribution lists of ICU providers from all 29 states and 7 union territories(UTs).In addition to emails and phone calls,social medial applications-WhatsApp™,Facebook™and LinkedIn™were used to remind and motivate providers.By completing and submitting the survey,providers gave their consent for research purposes.This study was deemed eligible for category-2 Institutional Review Board exempt status.RESULTS There were total 134 adult/adult-pediatrics ICU responses from 24(83%out of 29)states,and two(28%out of 7)UTs in 61 cities.They had median(IQR)16(10-25)beds and most,were mixed medical-surgical,111(83%),with 108(81%)being adult-only ICUs.Representative responders were young,median(IQR),38(32-44)years age and majority,n=108(81%)were males.The consultants were,n=101(75%).A total of 77(57%)reported to have 24 h in-house intensivist.A total of 68(51%)ICUs reported to have either 2:1 or 2≥:1 patient:nurse ratio.More than 80%of the ICUs were open,and mixed type.Protocols followed regularly by the ICUs included sepsis care,ventilator-associated pneumonia(83%each);nutrition(82%),deep vein thrombosis prophylaxis(87%),stress ulcer prophylaxis(88%)and glycemic control(92%).Digital infrastructure was found to be poor,with only 46%of the ICUs reporting high-speed internet availability.CONCLUSION In this large,national,semi-structured,need-assessment survey,the need for improved manpower including;in-house intensivists,and decreasing patient-tonurse ratios was evident.Sepsis was t
