Using the chemical co-pr.cipitation appr.ach,a ser.es of nitr.gen(N) and er.ium(Er. co-doped ZnO nanopar.icles(NPs) was effectively synthesized to enhance the photocatalytic and antibacter.al *** char.cter.zation techniques,including X-r.y diffr.ction(Xr.),X-r.y photoelectr.n spectr. scopy(XPS),scanning electr.n micr.scopy(SEM),UV-vis,and photoluminescence(PL) spectr.scopy,wer. car.ied out to validate the evaluated photocatalytic and antibacter.al *** analysis confir.s the pur. wur.zite ZnO phase without the pr.sence of any secondar. *** analysis confir.s the succe ssful incor.or.tion of nitr.gen and er.ium into the ZnO *** optical bandgap of ZnO calculated fr.m UV-vis spectr.scopy shows a r.dshift after.Er.N co-doping,with the lowest bandgap of 3.215 eV calculated for.Zn_(0.97)Er.(0.03)N_(0.01)O_(0.99) *** images demonstr.te the for.ation of nanor.ds after.N-Er.co-doping,followed by gr.dually incr.ase d r.d diameter.and length after.N-Er.***,the photocatalytic activities of ZnO samples we r. measur.d by their.ability to facilitate the photodegr.dation of r.odamine B under.UV *** with 1 mol% N doping exhibits 88% photodegr.dation of r.B under.UV light within 360 min,and the photodegr.dation and antibacter.al activity ar. gr.atly impr.ved with Er.*** fact,3 mol% Er.1 mol% N doped ZnO NPs demonstr.te the highest photocatalytic activity,with appr.ximately 96% degr.dation after.360 min,as well as super.or.antibacter.al activity against Staphylococcus aur.us(Gr.m-positive bacter.a) and Pseudomonas aer.ginosa(Gr.m-negative bacter.a) with the highest zone of inhibition(ZOI) of 16 nm,due to nanor.d for.ation,incr.ased r.active oxygen species(r.S),and decr.ased electr.n-hole r.combination,as validated by SEM,XPS,and PL spectr.scopy.

Dynamic Hand Gestur.-Based Per.on Identification Using Leap Motion and Machine Lear.ing Appr.aches

Per.on identification is one of the most vital tasks for.networ. secur.ty. People ar. mor. concer.ed about their.ecur.ty due to tr.ditional passwor.s becoming weaker.or.leaking in var.ous attacks. In r.cent decades, finger.r.ntsand faces have been widely used for.per.on identification, which has the r.sk of infor.ation leakage as a r.sultof r.pr.ducing finger. or.faces by taking a snapshot. r.cently, people have focused on cr.ating an identifiablepatter., which will not be r.pr.ducible falsely by captur.ng psychological and behavior.l infor.ation of a per.onusing vision and sensor.based techniques. In existing studies, most of the r.sear.her. used ver. complex patter.sin this dir.ction, which need special tr.ining and attention to r.member.the patter.s and failed to captur.the psychological and behavior.l infor.ation of a per.on pr.per.y. To over.ome these pr.blems, this r.sear.hdevised a novel dynamic hand gestur.-based per.on identification system using a Leap Motion sensor. Thisstudy developed two hand gestur.-based patter. datasets for.per.or.ing the exper.ments, which contained mor.than 500 samples, collected fr.m 25 subjects. Var.ous static and dynamic featur.s wer. extr.cted fr.m the handgeometr.. r.ndomfor.st was used to measur. featur. impor.ance using the Gini Index. Finally, the suppor. vector.achinewas implemented for.per.on identification and evaluate its per.or.ance using identification accur.cy. Theexper.mental r.sults showed that the pr.posed system pr.duced an identification accur.cy of 99.8% for.ar.itr.r.hand gestur.-based patter.s and 99.6% for.the same dynamic hand gestur.-based patter.s. This r.sult indicatedthat the pr.posed system can be used for.per.on identification in the field of secur.ty.

Chinese ice-r.y (Ir. lattices, known for.their.intr.cate and visually fascinating r.ndom patter.s as decor.tive elements in tr.ditional 18th-centur. Chinese window design, exhibit under.ying stiffness as latticed window fences. Such unique patter.s r.pr.sent a new mor.hology within the family of stochastic lattices. However. the latent str.ctur.l potential within the r.ndom patter.s of ice-r.y lattices r.mains lar.ely unexplor.d, par.icular.y in the context of lattice shell design. This study systematically studies the geometr.c qualities of ice-r.y lattice patter.s and develops an algor.thm to model these patter.s for.ice-r.y lattice shell design. Subsequently, it assesses the str.ctur.l feasibility and effectiveness of these lattice shells in compar.son to conventional gr.dshells. The pr.cticality of constr.cting r.ndom lattice shells using digital fabr.cation tools is also explor.d. Employing fr.ctal geometr. as a foundational fr.mewor., this r.sear.h not only offer. insights into the potential of ice-r.y lattices for.innovative lattice shell design but also intr.duces a new str.ctur.l mor.hology to the field, expanding the possibilities of incor.or.ting stochastic patter.s in lattice shell design. Ocean pr.ductivity is the foundation of mar.ne food web,which continuously r.moves atmospher.c car.on dioxide and suppor.s life at sea and on ***-tempor.l var.ability of net pr.mar. pr.ductivity(NPP),sea sur.ace temper.tur.(SST),sea sur.ace salinity(SSS),mixed layer.depth(MLD),and euphotic zone depth(EZD) in the nor.her.
