Encapsulating Si particles in multiple carbon shells with pore-rich for constructing free-standing anodes of lithium storage

Silicon based(Si-based)materials are considered to be the most promising anode materials for lithiumion batteries(LIBs)due to their high specific ***,the issues of poor electrical conductivity and volume expansion during cycling have not been effectively *** optimum remedy is to select specific materials to establish an exceptional conductive and volume buffer structure to assist the Si materials to develop its excellent lithium storage ***,Si particles were encapsulated into porous carbon fibers containing ultrafine Co particles(CP)to obtained Si-x@CP-y *** them,the addition of Si particles and the void structure was precisely regulated to achieve a superior electrode with a high specific ***,the two-dimensional conductive material reduced graphene oxide(rGO)nanosheets were further incorporated to obtain Si-2@CP-2@rGO films with core@multi-shell *** final electrode was equipped with one-,two-,and three-dimensional electronic pathways to allow rapid electron transport,and featured with multi-layer buffer structure and reserved pores that could effectively mitigate volume *** expected,the free-standing Si-2@CP-2@rGO electrode delivered a high specific capacity of 1221.2 mA h/g after 100 cycles at 0.1 A/g in a half cell,and the assembled full cell showed 249.0 m Ah/g after 200 cycles at 0.2 A/g,which fulfilled the lightweight requirement for new energy storage devices.

The lubrication characteristics of liquid crystal(LC) molecules sheared between two crystalline surfaces obtained from molecular dynamics(MD) simulations are reported in this *** consider a coarse-grained rigid bead-necklace model of the LC molecules confined between two atomic surfaces subject to different shearing velocities.A systematic study shows that the slip length of LC lubrication changes significantly as a function of the LC-surface interaction energy,which can be well described though a theoretical *** slip length increases as shear rate increases at high LC-surface interaction ***,this trend can not be observed for low interaction *** orientation of the LC molecules near the surface is found to be guided by the atomics *** influence of temperature on the lubrication characteristics is also discussed in this article.

Structure of Electrochemically Lithiated Li_(0.33)MnO_2

Li0.33MnO2 cathode material was synthesized by solid state reaction which showed a monoclinic *** situ synchrotron diffraction showed a reversible structural transition of Li0.33MnO2 during Li＋ insertion/***,it is difficult to determine the crystal structure of lithiated Li0.33＋xMnO2 based on their poorly resolved diffraction *** difficulty was successfully resolved by X-ray absorption spectroscopy（XAS） and Raman scattering which are sensitive to the short-range ordering of material *** X-ray absorption fine structure shows the co-existence of corner-and edge-shared [MnO6] in Li0.33MnO2,whereas only edge-shared [MnO6] in lithiated ***,the differences between the Raman spectra of Li0.33MnO2 and Li0.96MnO2 indicate the phase transition of the material with Li＋ *** work shows that Li0.33MnO2 transforms to monoclinic LiMnO2 with Li＋ *** phase transformation was suggested to evolve from the migration of Mn ions.

Effects of Binder Phase Content and Substrate Hardness on Deposition Behavior of Cermet Particles in Cold Spraying Process

In this paper,three kinds of cermet particles with different binder phase and content,namely WC-12Co,WC-17Co and Cr3C2-25NiCr were deposited on the Q235 low carbon steel and WC-12Co coating substrates to investigate the effect of binder phase content and substrate hardness on deposition behavior of cermet particle during cold *** morphology of the deposited particles was examined by scanning electron microscopy(SEM)from the particle surface and *** was found that with increasing substrate hardness,the deposition behavior of cermet particles transformed from completely embedding into substrate to partially flattening and even *** the Co content from 12 wt%to 17 wt% influenced significantly the deposition deformation behavior of the WC-Co particles,the higher Co content brought about a fuller flattening of WC-Co ***,Cr3C2-25NiCr particle exhibited the relatively lower flattening ratio and significant rebounding of Cr3C2 even with the highest binder phase content,which may be attributed to the bigger Cr3C2 size and weak bonding between Cr3C2 and NiCr.

In a greenhouse experiment,the effects of soil microorganisms and extracts of Achnatherum inebrians on the seed germination and seedling growth of Elymus nutans were *** results showed that both the extracts from aboveground and belowground parts of *** signiﬁcantly inhibited the germination rate,germination potential,germination index,vigor index,seedling height,root length,and fresh weight of ***,but increased malondialdehyde content,catalase,peroxidase and superoxide dismutase activity of *** seedlings(p<0.05).The allelopathy of aqueous extracts of the aboveground parts of *** was stronger than that of the *** extracts of the aboveground parts of *** decreased seed germination rate,germination potential,germination index,vigor index,seedling length,root length,and seedling fresh weight by 10.45%-74.63%,24.18%-32.50%,19.03%-73.36%,37.83%-88.41%,21.42%-53.14%,2.65%-40.21%,and 20.45%-61.36%,respectively,and malondialdehyde content,peroxidase,catalase,and superoxide dismutase activity increased by 8.09%-62.24%,27.83%-86.47%,22.90%-93.17%,and 11.15%-75.91%,*** above indexes were higher in live soil than in sterilized *** microorganisms increased the allelopathy of *** seed germination rate,germination potential,germination index,vigor index,seedling length,and seedling fresh weight of *** planted in live soil decreased by 8.22%-48.48%,10.00%-51.85%,8.19%-53.26%,16.43%-60.03%,12.91%-28.81%,and 9.09%-22.86%compared with sterilized soil,*** content,peroxidase,catalase,and superoxide dismutase activity of *** planted in live soil increased by 53.91%-81.06%,15.71%-57.34%,33.33%-86.31%,and 9.78%-52.51%compared with sterilized soil,*** existence of soil microorganisms enhanced the allelopathy of the secondary metabolites of ***.A combination of microorganisms and aqueous extracts from the aboveground parts of *** had the s

AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON POST-BUCKLING BEHAVIOR OF SLENDER COLUMN WITH FIBER REINFORCED COMPOSITE MATERIAL

Equilibrium paths of post-buckling are measured for large slenderness column specimens made of the fiber reinforced composite material. The influence of the initial curvature is investigated experimentally and compared with the result of the initial post-buckling theory. Both the theoretical and experimental results reveal that the column with the initial curvature has stable post-buckling behaviors and is not sensitive to the imperfection in the form of initial curvature. The experimental results show that when the lateral buckling displacement is less than 20 percent of the column length, the experimental results agree with the results from the theory of initial post-buckling quite well, while they agree with the results from the large deflection theory in a quite large range.
