To enhance the catalytic activity of copper ferrite(CuFe_(2)O_(4))nanoparticle and promote its application as combustion catalyst,a low-cost silicon dioxide(SiO_(2))carrier was employed to construct a novel CuFe_(2)O_(4)/SiO_(2)binary composites via solvothermal *** phase structure,morphology and catalytic activity of CuFe_(2)O_(4)/SiO_(2)composites were studied firstly,and thermal decomposition,combustion and safety performance of ammonium perchlorate(AP)and 1,3,5-trinitroperhydro-1,3,5-triazine(RDX)with it affecting were then systematically *** results show that CuFe_(2)O_(4)/SiO_(2)composite can remarkably either advance the decomposition peak temperature of AP and RDX,or reduce the apparent activation energy at their main decomposition ***,the flame propagation rate of RDX was promoted by about 2.73 times with SiO_(2)content of 3 wt%,and safety property of energetic component was also improved greatly,in which depressing the electrostatic discharge sensitivity of pure RDX by about 1.89 *** addition,the effective range of SiO_(2)carrier content in the binary catalyst is found to be 3 to 5 wt%.Therefore,SiO_(2)opens a new insight on the design of combustion catalyst carrier and will promote the application of CuFe_(2)O_(4)catalyst in solid propellant.

The exploration of spin symmetry (SS) in nuclear physics has been instrumental in identifying atomic nucleus *** this study,we solve the Dirac equation from the relativistic mean field (RMF) in complex momentum *** investigated SS and its breaking in single-particle resonant states within deformed nuclei,with a focus on the illustrative *** was the initial discovery of a resonant spin doublet in a deformed nucleus,with the expectation of the SS approaching the continuum *** increasing single-particle energy,the splitting of the resonant spin doublets widened *** escalating splitting implies diminishing adherence to the SS,indicating a departure from the expected behavior as the energy levels *** also analyzed the width of the resonant states,showing that lower orbital angular momentum resonances possess shorter decay times and that SS is preserved within broad resonant doublets,as opposed to narrow resonant *** the radial density of the upper components for the bound-state and resonant-state doublets,it becomes evident that while SS is well-preserved in the bound states,it deteriorates in the resonant *** impact of nuclear deformation (β_(2)) on SS was examined,demonstrating that an increase in β_(2) resulted in higher energy and width splitting in the resonant spin doublets,which is attributed to increased component ***,the sensitivity of spin doublets to various potential parameters such as surface diffuseness (a),radius (R),and depth (Σ0) is discussed,emphasizing the role of these parameters in *** study provides valuable insights into the behavior of spin doublets in deformed nuclei and their interplay with the nuclear structure,thereby advancing our understanding of SS in the resonance state.

The necrotrophic fungus, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, employs an array of cell wall-degrading enzymes(CWDEs), including cellulase, to dismantle host cell walls. However, the molecular mechanisms through which S. sclerotiorum degrades cellulose remain elusive. Here, we unveil a novel secretory cellobiohydrolase, SsdchA, characterized by a signal peptide and a Glyco_hydro_7(GH7) domain. SsdchA exhibits a robust expression of during early infection stages. Interestingly, colony morphology and growth rates remain unaffected across the wild-type, SsdchA deletion strains and SsdchA overexpression strains on potato dextrose agar(PDA) medium. nevertheless, the pathogenicity and cellobiohydrolase activity decreased in the SsdchA deletion strains, but enhanced in the SsdchA overexpression strains. Moreover,the heterologous expression of SsdchA in Arabidopsis thaliana leads to reduced cellulose content and heightened susceptibility to S. sclerotiorum. Collectively, our data underscore the pivotal role of the novel cellobiohydrolase SsdchA in the pathogenicity of S. sclerotiorum.

Metal-free carbon,as the most representative heterogeneous metal-free catalysts,have received considerable interests in electro-and thermo-catalytic reac-tions due to their impressive performance and *** the past decade,well-designed carbon catalysts with tunable structures and heteroatom groups coupled with various characterization techniques have proposed numerous reaction ***,active sites,key intermediate species,precise structure-activity relationships and dynamic evolution processes of carbon catalysts are still rife with controversies due to the monotony and limitation of used experimental *** this Review,we sum-marize the extensive efforts on model catalysts since the 2000s,particularly in the past decade,to overcome the influences of material and structure limitations in metal-free carbon *** both nanomolecule model and bulk model,the real contribution of each alien species,defect and edge configuration to a series of fundamentally important reactions,such as thermocatalytic reactions,electrocatalytic reactions,were systematically *** with in situ techniques,isotope labeling and size control,the detailed reaction mechanisms,the precise 2D structure-activity relationships and the rate-determining steps were revealed at a molecular ***,the outlook of model carbon catalysis has also been proposed in this work.

The dioecious plant,Hippophae rhamnoides,is a pioneer species in community succession on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau(QTP),plays great roles in various ecosystem ***,the males and females of the species differ both in their morphology and physiology,resulting in a change in the ratio of male to female plants depending on the *** further explore the functional traits critical to this sex-based distinctive response in the alpine grassland,we have surveyed the sex ratios,measured their photosynthetic parameters,height,leaf area and biomass *** results showed that(i)The males had higher Pn,light saturation point,apparent quantum efficiency,A_(max) and lower water-use efficiency(WUE),which exhibited higher utilization efficiency or tolerance to strong light,while the females indicated higher utilization efficiency for low light and *** it showed sex-specific biomass allocation patterns.(ii)*** populations across the successional stages all showed a male-biased sexual allocation,which was closely related to sex-specific WUE,Pn,root biomass/total biomass and root-crown ratio.(iii)The leaf traits of *** changed from higher n_(area),P_(area) and leaf mass per area in the early and late to lower in the middle,which meant they moved their growth strategy from resource rapid acquisition to conservation as the succession progressed.(iv)The increasing soil total phosphorus mostly contributed to regulating the sex bias of populations and variations of traits during the *** results are vital for the management of grassland degradation and restoration due to shrub encroachment on the QTP.

The elliptic azimuthal anisotropy coefficient(v_(2))of the identified particles at midrapidity(|η|nvestigated in p-Pb collisions at√s_(nn)=5.02 TeV using a multi-phase transport model(AMPT).The calculations of differential v_(2)based on the advanced flow extraction method of light flavor hadrons(pions,kaons,protons,andΛ)in small collision systems were extended to a wider transverse momentum(p_(T))range of up to 8 GeV/c for the first *** string-melting version of the AMPT model provides a good description of the measured p_(T)-differential v_(2)of the mesons but exhibits a slight deviation from the baryon v_(2).In addition,we observed the features of mass ordering at low p_(T)and the approximate number-of-constituentquark(nCQ)scaling at intermediate p_(T).Moreover,we demonstrate that hadronic rescattering does not have a significant impact on v_(2)in p-Pb collisions for different centrality selections,whereas partonic scattering dominates in generating the elliptic anisotropy of the final *** study provides further insight into the origin of collective-like behavior in small collision systems and has referential value for future measurements of azimuthal anisotropy.

More tree growth reduction due to consecutive drought and its legacy effect for a semiarid larch plantation in northwest China

Extreme climate has increasingly led to negative impacts on forest ecosystems globally,especially in semiarid areas where forest ecosystems are more ***,it is poorly understood how tree growth is affected by different drought *** 2006–2009,the larch plantations in the semiarid areas of northwest China were negatively affected by four consecutive dry years,which was a very rare phenomenon that may occur frequently under future climate *** this study,we analyzed the effect of these consecutive dry years on tree growth based on the data of the tree rings in the dominant layer of the forest canopy on a larch *** found that the tree-ring width index(RWI)in dry years was lower than that in normal years,and it experienced a rapidly decreasing trend from 2006 to 2009(slope=-0.139 year^(-1),r=-0.94)due to water supply deficits in those dry *** induced legacy effects of tree growth reduction,and consecutive dry years corresponded with greater growth reductions and legacy *** reductions and legacy effects were significantly stronger in the third and fourth consecutive dry years than that of single dry year(pn due to the cumulative stress caused by consecutive dry *** results showed that larch trees experienced greater tree growth reduction due to consecutive dry years and their legacy effect,and the trees had lower recovery rates after consecutive dry *** results highlight that consecutive dry years pose a new threat to plantations under climate warming,and thus,the effect of climate extremes on tree growth should be considered in growth models in semiarid areas.
