Clinical profiles and outcomes of acute type A aortic dissection and intramural hematoma in the current era: lessons from the first registry of aortic dissection in China

Background::Acute type A aortic dissection(ATAAD)and acute type A intramural hematoma(ATAIMH)are life-threatening diseases with high *** better understand their clinical features in the Chinese population,we analyzed the data from the first Registry of Aortic Dissection in China(Sino-RAD)to promote the understanding and management of the ***::All patients with ATAAD and ATAIMH enrolled in Sino-RAD from January 1,2012 to December 31,2016 were *** data of patients’selection,history,symptoms,management,outcomes,and postoperation complications were analyzed in the *** continuous variables were compared using the Student’s t test for normal distributions and the Mann-Whitney U test for non-normal *** variables were compared using the Chi-square test or Fisher exact ***::A total of 1582 patients with ATAAD and 130 patients with ATAIMH were *** mean age of all patients was 48.4 *** with ATAAD were significantly younger than patients with ATAIMH(48.9 years vs.55.6 years,P<0.001).For the total cohort,males were dominant,but the male ratio of patients with ATAAD was significantly higher compared to those with ATAIMH(P=0.01).The time range from the onset of symptom to hospitalization was 2.0 *** patients of ATAIMH had hypertension than that of ATAAD(82.3%vs.67.6%,P<0.05).Chest and back pain were the most common clinical *** tomography(CT)was the most common initial diagnostic imaging modality.84.7%received surgical treatment and in-hospital mortality was 5.3%.Patients with ATAAD mainly received surgical treatment(89.6%),while most patients with ATAIMH received medical treatment(39.2%)or endovascular repair(35.4%).Conclusions::Our study suggests that doctors should comprehensively use clinical examination and genetic background screening for patients with ATAAD and ATAIMH and further shorten the time range from symptoms onset to intervention,achieving early diagnosis

The crosstalk between enteric nervous system and immune system in intestinal development,homeostasis and diseases

The gut is the largest digestive and absorptive organ,which is essential for induction of mucosal and systemic immune responses,and maintenance of metabolic-immune *** intestinal components contain the epithelium,stromal cells,immune cells,and enteric nervous system(ENS),as well as the outers,such as gut microbiota,metabolites,and *** dyshomeostasis of intestinal microenvironment induces abnormal intestinal development and functions,even colon diseases including dysplasia,inflammation and *** recent studies have identified that ENS plays a crucial role in maintaining the immune homeostasis of gastrointestinal(GI)*** crosstalk between ENS and immune cells,mainly macrophages,T cells,and innate lymphoid cells(ILCs),has been found to exert important regulatory roles in intestinal tissue programming,homeostasis,function,and *** this review,we mainly summarize the critical roles of the interactions between ENS and immune cells in intestinal homeostasis during intestinal development and diseases progression,to provide theoretical bases and ideas for the exploration of immunotherapy for gastrointestinal diseases with the ENS as potential novel targets.

Optical system for extremely large spectroscopic survey telescope

This article presents research work on a spectroscopic survey *** idea is as follows:for such a telescope,a pure reflecting optical system is designed,which should have an aperture and a field of view(FOV)both as large as possible and excellent image quality,and then a strip lensm(lens-prism)atmospheric dispersion corrector(S-ADC)is added,only for correcting the atmospheric *** the fund limitation and the simplicity of scaling up,some 12-m telescopes are designed as ***,Korsch,and Meinel put forward the four-mirror Nasmyth systems I and II,which are used in this *** of 1.5°,2°,and 2.5°are *** all systems,the image qualities are *** the S-ADC relaxes the optical glass size restriction,this 12-m telescope with a FOV of 2.5°can be magnified in proportion to a 16-m *** etendue(from Frenchétendue)and focal surface will now be the largest in the *** such a telescope,a pure reflecting optical system can also be obtained.A subsequent coudésystem is designed with excellent image quality.

Exploring open fields with coordinated unmanned vehicles is popular in academia and *** of the most impressive applicable approaches is the Internet of Vehicles(lov).The IoV connects vehicles,road infrastructures and communication facilities to provide solutions for exploration ***,the coordination of acquiring information from multi-vehicles may risk data *** this end,sharing high-quality experiences instead of raw data has become an urgent *** paper employs a Deep Reinforcement Learning(DRL)method to enable IoVs to generate training data with prioritized experience and states,which can support the IoV to explore the environment more ***,a Federated Learning(FL)experience sharing model is established to guarantee the vehicles'*** numerical results show that the proposed method presents a better successful sharing rate and a more stable convergence within the comparison of fundamental *** experiments also suggest that the proposed method could support agents without full information to achieve the tasks.

Exploiting demand-side heterogeneous flexible resources in risk management of power system frequency

More demand-side flexible resources(DFRs)are participating in the frequency regulation of renewable power systems,whose heterogeneous characteristics have a significant impact on the system frequency ***,selecting suitable DFRs poses a formidable challenge for independent system operators(ISO).In this paper,a reserve allocation methodology for heterogeneous DFRs is proposed to manage the risk of power system ***,a performance curve is developed to describe the cost,capacity,and response speed of ***,a clustering method for multiple distributed DFRs is conducted to calculate the aggregated performance curves and uncertainty ***,the frequency security criterion considering DFRs’performance is constructed,whose linearity makes it can be easily coupled into the system scheduling model and ***,a risk management model for DFRs considering frequency-chance-constraint is proposed to make a trade-off between cost and frequency ***,the model is transformed into mixed integer second-order cone programming(MISOCP)and solved by the commercial *** proposed model is validated by the IEEE 30 and IEEE 118 bus systems.

Unlocking high-efficiency oxygen evolution reaction through Co-N coordination engineering in Co@N-doped porous carbon core–shell nanoparticles

Modulation of metal sites coordination can significantly refine the electronic architecture of catalysts,thereby improving their catalytic *** work successfully developed a core–shell Co@N-doped porous carbon(Co@NC)catalyst by pyrolyzing the COF/MOF(IISERP-COF3/ZIF-67)composite in an inert *** Co@NC catalyst exhibited impressive oxygen evolution reaction(OER)performance,with a small overpotential of 304 mV and a modest Tafel slope of 88.6 mV·dec^(−1) in a 1 M KOH,alongside remarkable stability,maintaining 98.5%of its activity over 13 *** role of IISERP-COF3 was pivotal in preventing Co atom aggregation during the ZIF-67 pyrolysis,which facilitated the creation of mesopores for enhanced mass transport and ***,it effectively modulated the Co-N coordination to fine-tune the electronic structure,thereby optimizing the catalyst's capacity for adsorption of intermediates and boosting its intrinsic *** functional theory(DFT)studies corroborate that the exceptional OER efficiency of Co@NC can be linked to the enhanced Co-N coordination,optimizing the localized electronic structure at the Co active *** study not only proposes an innovative approach for optimizing COF/MOF as effective electrocatalysts but also clears the path for the emergence of affordable,high-performance alternatives to precious metal-based catalysts,marking a significant advancement in sustainable energy technologies.

Prescribed time control based on the periodic delayed sliding mode surface without singularities

In this paper, nonsingular prescribed-time control is studied based on periodic delayed sliding mode surfaces. Different from the existing sliding mode control, where either singularity problems may appear or the convergence time depends on the initial state, the proposed sliding mode control approaches can achieve prescribed-time convergence without singularity. The proposed nonsingular sliding mode control approaches can be applied to both second-order and high-order nonlinear systems with prescribed-time convergence. As applications of the proposed sliding mode control approaches, the control of hypersonic vehicle systems is revisited. Numerical simulations on the nonlinear model of the hypersonic vehicle system show the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

Strain Gradient Finite Element Formulation of Flexoelectricity in Ferroelectric Material Based on Phase-Field Method

Flexoelectricity is a two-way coupling effect between the strain gradient and electric field that exists in all dielectrics,regardless of point group ***,the high-order derivatives of displacements involved in the strain gradient pose challenges in solving electromechanical coupling problems incorporating the flexoelectric *** this study,we formulate a phase-field model for ferroelectric materials considering the flexoelectric effect.A four-node quadrilateral element with 20 degrees of freedom is constructed without introducing high-order shape *** microstructure evolution of domains is described by an independent order parameter,namely the spontaneous polarization governed by the time-dependent Ginzburg–Landau *** model is developed based on a thermodynamic framework,in which a set of microforces is introduced to construct the constitutive relation and evolution *** the flexoelectric part of electric enthalpy,the strain gradient is determined by interpolating the mechanical strain at the node via the values of Gaussian integration points in the isoparametric *** model is shown to be capable of reproducing the classic analytical solution of dielectric materials incorporating the flexoelectric *** model is verified by duplicating some typical phenomena in flexoelectricity in cylindrical tubes and truncated pyramids.A comparison is made between the polarization distribution in dielectrics and *** model can reproduce the solution to the boundary value problem of the cylindrical flexoelectric tube,and demonstrate domain twisting at domain walls in ferroelectrics considering the flexoelectric effect.
