Prediction calculations for the first criticality of the HTR-PM using the PANGU code

The high-temperature reactor pebble-bed mod-ule(HTR-PM)is a modular high-temperature gas-cooled reactor demonstration power plant.Its first criticality experiment is scheduled for the latter half of 2021.Before performing the first criticality experiment,a prediction calculation was performed using PANGU code.This paper presents the calculation details for predicting the HTR-PM first criticality using PANGU,including the input model and parameters,numerical results,and uncertainty analysis.The accuracy of the PANGU code was demonstrated by comparing it with the high-fidelity Monte Carlo solution,using the same input configurations.It should be noted that k eff can be significantly affected by uncertainties in nuclear data and certain input parameters,making the criticality calculation challenge.Finally,the PANGU is used to pre-dict the critical loading height of the HTR-PM first criti-cality under design conditions,which will be evaluated in the upcoming experiment later this year.

有效缓发中子份额(β_(eff))等中子动力学参数是核反应堆动态分析的基础。获取中子动力学参数的方法包括实验测量与数值计算,而对于球床式高温气冷堆,现有的条件还不能够直接进行实验测量,因此,数值计算是唯一现实可取的方法。本文研制了包含缓发中子数据的多群截面数据库XPZLIB,基于高温气冷堆栅格物理程序XPZ,对缓发中子数据进行了均匀化和能群归并处理,基于堆芯物理分析程序PANGU,使用重要性函数加权方法计算了高温气冷堆中子动力学参数,并利用蒙特卡罗程序检验了计算结果的准确性。结果证明,数值计算方法可以用于计算高温气冷堆动力学参数,并能为其动力学分析提供基础。

The HTR-10 is a small modular high-temperature reactor located in Tsinghua University,in China.After the reactor ran continuously for 72 h at full power in the commissioning stage,a full load rejection test was conducted by manually disconnecting the generator from the grid.In this study,reactor transients were analyzed using the THERMIX model.Some of the important thermal–fluid phenomena that occurred after the test initiation are discussed here,including the natural convection of helium in the core and the temperature redistribution in the reactor.Temperatures reproduced for the measuring points arranged in the internals were in agreement with the test data.This demonstrated that the code and calculation model are suitable for posttest analysis applications.Regarding the safety features of the reactor,there was a large margin between the predicted maximum fuel temperature of 997℃and the safety limit of 1620℃.

Plastic crystal neopentyl glycol(NPG)exhibits colossal barocaloric effect with high entropy changes.However,their application is restricted in several aspects,such as low thermal conductivity,substantial supercooling effect,and poor springback properties.In this work,multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs)with ultra-high thermal conductivity and high mechanical strength were selected for performance enhancement of NPG.The optimal mixing ratio was determined to be NPG with 3 wt%MWCNTs composites,which showed a 6K reduction in supercooling without affecting the phase change enthalpy.Subsequently,comprehensive performance of the composites with optimal mixing ratio was compared with pure NPG At 40 MPa,390J·K^(-1)·kg^(-1)change in entropy and 9.9 K change in temperature were observed.Furthermore,the minimum driving pressure required to achieve reversible barocaloric effect was reduced by 19.2%.In addition,the thermal conductivity of the composite was increased by approximately 28%,significantly reducing the heat exchange time during a barocaloric refrigeration cycle.More importantly,ultra-high pressure release rate resulted in a73.7%reduction in the springback time of the composites,offering new opportunities for the recovery of expansion work.

To improve the corrosion resistance of coalbed methane drilling equipment,an AICoCrFeNiCu high entropy alloy coating was prepared on the AISI 4135(35CrMo)steel substrate by high velocity oxygen fuel(HVOF)technology,and the coating was subjected to vacuum heat treatment(VHT)at different temperatures(500,700,900 and 1100℃).The corrosion test of the substrate and the coatings after VHT in coalbed methane drilling fluid was carried out.The results show that the HVOF sprayed AICoCrFeNiCu high entropy alloy(HEA)coating has a good bonding with the substrate,and the porosity of the coating is about 2.4%.There is partial segregation in the coating,and the coating mainly consists of body-centered cubic phase.The coating has good thermal stability,and the phase structure and microstructure of the coatings have changed after VHT at different temperatures.Compared with the substrate,the as-sprayed coating has better uniform corrosion resistance,and the corrosion resistance of the coating after VHT is further improved.After VHT at 500℃,the HVOF-sprayed AICoCrFeNiCu HEA coating has the best corrosion resistance.

为解决传统二维热工分析程序在计算球床式高温气冷堆非对称几何结构、轴向非均匀加热等工况时结果误差大的问题,实现更加准确精细的反应堆热工水力分析,本文基于二维热工分析软件DAYU2D,建立了三维热传导和对流模型,开发了适用于球床式高温气冷堆的三维热工分析程序DAYU3D。利用DAYU3D程序,针对SANA基准实验的对称及非对称加热工况进行了模拟,并与实验结果进行了对比分析。计算结果表明:相比于二维程序,DAYU3D对于SANA实验的三维非对称工况的模拟与实验结果符合更好,因此更加适用于球床式高温气冷堆的三维热工特性分析。

BACKGROUND Retroperitoneal high-grade serous carcinoma(HGSC)of unknown origin is a sporadic tumor that can originate from ovarian cancer.Herein,we report the case of a woman with retroperitoneal HGSC of unknown origin and describe how she was diagnosed and treated.CASE SUMMARY A 71-year-old female presented with the tumor marker CA125 elevated to 1041.9 U/mL upon a regular health examination.Computed tomography revealed retroperitoneal lymph node enlargement.Subsequently,positron emission tomography scanning revealed lesions with increased F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose uptake at the nodes.As a result,she underwent laparoscopic lymph node resection,and pathology revealed metastatic adenocarcinoma with CK7(+),PAX8(+),WT1(+),PR(-),and p53 mutational loss of expression,indicating that the origin may be from the adnexa.The patient was admitted to our ward and underwent laparoscopic staging;however,the pathological results were negative.Under the suspicion of retroperitoneal HGSC of unknown origin,chemotherapy and targeted therapy were initiated.Tumor marker levels decreased after treatment.CONCLUSION We present a case of HGSC of unknown origin managed using retroperitoneal lymphadenectomy,staging surgery,chemotherapy,and targeted therapy.
