During the last decade,there has been rapid adoption of ground and aerial platforms with multiple sensors for phenotyping various biotic and abiotic stresses throughout the developmental stages of the crop *** throughput phenotyping(HTP)involves the application of these tools to phenotype the plants and can vary from ground-based imaging to aerial phenotyping to remote *** of these HTP tools has tried to reduce the phenotyping bottleneck.in breeding programs and help to increase the pace of genetic *** specifically,several root phenotyping tools are discussed to study the plant’s hidden half and an area long ***,the use of these HTP technologies produces big data sets that impede the inference from those *** learning and deep learning provide an alternative opportunity for the extraction of useful information for mak.ng *** are interdisciplinary approaches for data analysis using probability,statistics,classification,regression,decision theory,data visualization,and neural network. to relate information extracted with the phenotypes *** techniques use feature extraction,identification,classification,and prediction criteria to identify pertinent data for use in plant breeding and pathology *** review focuses on the recent findings where machine learning and deep learning approaches have been used for plant stress phenotyping with data being collected using various HTP *** have provided a comprehensive overview of different machine learning and deep learning tools available with their potential advantages and ***,this review provides an avenue for studying various HTP platforms with particular emphasis on using the machine learning and deep learning tools for drawing legitimate ***,we propose the conceptual challenges being faced and provide insights on future perspectives for managing those issues.

Design of current mirror integration ROIC for snapshot mode operation

Current mirror integration（CMI） read out integrated circuit（ROIC） topology provides a low input impedance to photo-detectors and provides large injection efficiency, large charge handling capacity and snapshot mode operation without in-pixel opamps. The ROIC described in this paper has been implemented with a modified current mirror circuit, with matched PMOS pairs for detector input stage and its biasing. The readout circuit has been designed for 30×30μm^2 pixel size, 4×4 array size, variable frame rate, 5 Me charga pixel per second（Mpps）.Experimental performance of the test chip has achieved 15 Me charge handling capacity, a high dynamic range of83 dB, 99.8% linearity and 99.96% injection efficiency. The ROIC design has been fabricated in 3.3 V 1P6 MUMC180 nm CMOS process and tested up to 5 MHz pixel rate at room and at cryogenic temperature.

Objective:To evaluate the anti-proliferative and apoptogenic activity of ethyl acetate extract from the leaves of Memecylon edule(EtAc-LME) in Mk.-74,NUGC gastric cancer cells and non cancerous gastric mucous cells(GES-1),and to explore the mechanism of EtAc-LME induced ***:The mechanism of EtAc-LME induced apoptosis was explored by analysing the activation of pro-caspases,PARP cleavage,expression of cytochrome-c (Cyt-c) was determined by western blotting,mRNA expression of Bcl-2,Bax by RT-PCR,loss of mitochondrial potential using DiOC6 dye,annexin binding assay and its influence on cell cycle arrest by flow ***:The results indicated that EtAc-LME inhibited the gastric cancer cell growth in dose-dependent manner and cytotoxicity was more towards the gastric cancer cells(NUCC and Mk.-74) compared to normal gastric cells(GES-1),suggesting more specific cytotoxicity to the malignant *** expression of Cyt-c and subsequent activation of caspases-3 and down regulation of Bcl-2 and loss in mitochondrial potential in EtAc-LME treated Mk.-74 and NUGC cells suggested that EtAc-LME induced apoptosis by mitochondrial dependent ***:The present findings suggest that ethyl acetate extract of Memecylon edule induces apoptosis selectively in gastric cancer cells emphasizing the importance of this traditional medicine for its potential in the treatment of gastric cancer.

Gastrointestinal stromal tumours (GIST) are mesenchymal tumours that arise most commonly from the stomach. They are the 3rd most common tumour diagnosed behind adenocarcinomas and lymphomas. The majority of these tumours are asymptomatic and incidentally diagnosed in UGI scopy or contrast enhanced CT abdomen and pelvis studies. Obstruction, ulceration, gastrointestinal (GI) haemorrhage and perforation warrants an urgent surgical intervention. GIST is medically managed by tyrosine k.nase inhibitors and surgically by resection and anastomosis. This case report highlights the diagnosis and management of a 42-year-old gentleman who presented with vague right iliac fossa mass. Informed consent was obtained from the patient for publication of this case. This case was chosen to be reported because of the rare incidence of small intestine GIST in South India and the effectiveness of minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery in management.

A Plant Immune Receptor Adopts a Two-Step Recognition Mechanism to Enhance Viral Effector Perception

Plant intracellular nucleotide binding leucine-rich repeat (NLR) immune receptors play critical roles in pathoge n surveillance. Most plant NLRs characterized so far were found to use a single domain/sensor to recognize pathogen effectors. Here we report that the Sw-5b NLR immune receptor uses two distinct domains to detect the viral movement protein NSm encoded by tospovirus. In addition to its leucine-rich repeat (LRR) domain that has been previously reported, the N-terminal Solanaceae domain (SD) of Sw- 5b also interacts with NSm and a conserved 21-amino-acid region of NSm (NSm^21). The specific interaction between Sw-5b SD and NSm is required for releasing the inhibitory effect of coiled-coil domain on the NBARC- LRR region. Furthermore, we found that the binding of NSm affects the nucleotide binding activity of the NB-ARC-LRR in vitro, while Sw-5b NB-ARC-LRR is activated only when NSm and NSm^21 levels are high. Interestingly, Sw-5b SD could significantly enhanee the ability of the NB-ARC-LRR to detect low levels of NSm effector and facilitate its activation and induction of defense response. An Sw-5b SD mutant that is disrupted in NSm recognition failed to enhance the ability of the NB-ARC-LRR to sense low levels of NSm and NSm^21 . Tak.n together, our results suggest that Sw-5b SD functions as an extra sensor and the NB-ARC-LRR as an activator, and that Sw-5b NLR adopts a two-step recog nition mechanism to enhance viral effector perception.
