V-domain Ig Suppressor of T cell Activation(VISTA)is a negative immune checkpoint that is expressed on multiple immune cell subsets and has been characterized in T cells,macrophages,and myeloid-derived suppressor *** the only immune checkpoint expressed on naïve T cells,VISTA contributes to the maintenance of T cell quiescence and *** also regulates multiple myeloid cell activities such as chemotaxis,differentiation,and *** the context of cancer,antagonistic monoclonal antibody targeting of VISTA has been shown to aid anti-tumor ***,combination therapies that include other immune checkpoints such as PD-1 or CTLA-4 with VISTA blockade may enhance therapeutic efficacy in a variety of *** therapy may help overcome adaptive resistance to individual checkpoint therapies,thereby improving patient outcomes and ***,we summarize the role of VISTA in myeloid cells and T cells within the tumor *** discuss the proposed counter-receptors for VISTA,VISTA antibodies currently in development,and the potential for combination therapies with checkpoint inhibitors such as PD-1 and CTLA-4.

显示器作为计算机的“面子”是我们与计算机沟通的主要桥梁，但人们常只注意到怎样选购它，而在购买后忽略对它的保养．以致使显示器的可靠性和使用寿命大大缩短：据统计，显示器故章有50％是由于环境条件差引起的，操作不当或管理不善导致的故障约占30％，真正由于质量差或自然损坏的故障只占20%．可见环境条件和人为因素是造或显示器故障的主要原因．因此，用户必须了解和掌握显示器的一般维护常识和保养方法．

Osteoarthritis （OA） reflects a slowly evolving joint disease with toss and erosion of articular cartilage, osteophytes formation and weakness or laxity of the soft tissues in the synovial joints, particularly the large weight-bearing joints. The prevalence of the OA increases with age, and its radiological changes can be observed in over 50% of the retired people. Symptoms can vary from minimal to severe pain, stiffness, locking, decreased function and sometimes joint effusion. Inevitably, a wide range of potential therapies have been advocated, and not necessarily with strong supportive evidence. The Standard-of-care for treatment of pain is multidisciplinary; however, a recent systematic review reported no clear benefit of any one therapy. The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality has called for the development of new therapies for pain management. In Interventional Regenerative Orthopedic Medicine （IROM）, Dextrose is used as a tissue proliferant for treatment of OA. It has different ways of action aiming to do tissue regeneration. Platelet Rich plasma is also used in IROM and is very promising because of delivering ＂growth-factors＂ which stimulate the local tissue progenitor cells （mesenchymal stem cells） enhancing the regeneration of the tissues. Adult Mesenchymal stem cells is the hot topic nowadays in the non-surgical joint reconstruction. The results revealed that patients treated for sports injuries and joint OA using IROM （dextrose, PRP and stem cells） showed a greater improvement regarding their sports performance as well as joint pain and function compared to those treated with traditional methods （different modalities of physiotherapy, steroids injections etc）. Moreover, athletes with sports injuries treated with steroid injections showed a deterioration in their sports performance, muscle strain, joint pain and function.

Objective The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of oral cadmium(Cd) ingestion on the pulmonary immune response. Methods Determination of Cd content in lungs and histopathological evaluation of the tissue was performed in rats following 30-day oral Cd administration(5 and 50 mg/L). Antioxidant enzyme defense(superoxide dismutase and catalase), cell infiltration, and production of tumor necrosis factor(TNF) and interferon(IFN)-γ, as well as the activity of myeloperoxidase(MPO), nitric oxide(NO), and various cytokines [interleukin(IL)-1β, IL-6, IL-10, and IL-17] were investigated. Results Cd caused tissue damage and cell infiltration in the lungs, and this damage was more pronounced at higher doses. Cd deposition resulted in lung inflammation characterized by a dose-dependent IL-1β increase in lung homogenates, increased TNF levels at both doses, and IL-6 stimulation at low doses with inhibition observed at higher doses. Cd exerted differential effects on lung leukocytes isolated by enzyme digestion, and these effects were characterized by a lack of change in the production of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species, an inhibition of IL-1β and TNF, and stimulation of MPO and IFN-γ. The higher capacity of Cd-exposed lung cells to respond to the opportunistic pathogen Staphylococcus epidermidis was demonstrated in vitro. Conclusion The potential of ingested Cd to exert both proinflammatory and immunosuppressive effects on pulmonary tissue inflammation and immune reactivity highlights the complex immunomodulatory actions of this metal.

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)is considered the causative pathogen of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)and has become an international danger to human *** respiratory transmission and symptoms are still the essential manifestations of COVID-19,the digestive system could be an unconventional or supplementary route for COVID-19 to be transmitted and manifested,most likely due to the presence of angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2)in the gastrointestinal *** addition,SARS-CoV-2 can trigger hepatic injury via direct binding to the ACE2 receptor in cholangiocytes,antibodydependent enhancement of infection,systemic inflammatory response syndrome,inflammatory cytokine storms,ischemia/reperfusion injury,and adverse events of treatment *** symptoms,including anorexia,nausea,vomiting,and diarrhea,which are unusual in patients with COVID-19,and some digestive signs may occur without other respiratory ***,SARS-CoV-2 can be found in infected patients’stool,demonstrating the likelihood of transmission through the fecal-oral *** addition,liver function should be monitored during COVID-19,particularly in more severe *** review summarizes the evidence for extra-pulmonary manifestations,mechanisms,and management of COVID-19,particularly those related to the gastrointestinal tract and liver.

Family characteristics on self-reported toothache among Indonesian children aged 12-14 years

Objective： Toothache was reported as a reason for school absenteeism, sleeping difficulties, loss of appetite, and seeking dental treatment among children. These represented some impacts of dental problems on health, quality of life, and socioeconomic problems. The aims of this study were to describe the prevalence of toothache among 12-14-year-old children in Indonesia and their family characteristics and to analyze the associations of family characteristics on the toothache. Methods： We analyzed the data from the Indonesian Family Life Survey 5 in 2014-2015. A total of 2,377 children aged 12-14 years were included in this survey. This age is the early stage of eruption of all permanent teeth. Children were asked about their experience on toothache in the last 4 weeks as a dependent variable. The independent variables were the family socioeconomic characteristics including father＇s and mother＇s highest educational level, family income, and the number of children in the family. A logistic regression was applied to analyze the relationship of family characteristics with toothache experience of children. Results： Toothache experience was reported from 13.9% of the respondents. Descriptive statistics showed that higher percentages of toothache were experienced by male children and children from family with lower parental education and economic position as well as from bigger family. However, logistic regression showed that only the number of children in the family had a statistically positive association with self-reported toothache of the children. Children living in the family with more than four children were more likely reported toothache than living in the family with one or two children （P=0.012; odds ratio [OR] = 1.53）. Children living with more siblings may experience less attention from their parents on oral health hygiene. Poor oral health habits could result in dental pain. In search for new antioxidant agents derived from 6-azauracil, the spiro-5-(flurin-9’-yl)-6-azauracil 3 and their N,N-disubstituted-6-azauracils 4 - 17 have been synthesized using various methods and reaction conditions. Structure of the new synthesized compounds was deduced from elemental analysis and spectral measurements, for example IR, 1H/13C NMR and mass spectroscopy. The antioxidant evaluation of the new targets showed that the activity increases in the order of 8 > 10 > 6 > 7 > 9 in comparison with 2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and ascorbic acid as standards.
