Solar Wind Charge eXchange X-ray(SWCX) emission in the heliosphere and Ea rth’s exosphere is a hard to avoid signal in soft Xray obse rvations of astrophysical *** the other hand,the X-ray imaging possibilities offered by the SWCX process has led to an increasing number of future dedicated space missions for investigating the solar wind-terrestrial inte ractions and magnetospheric *** both cases,accurate modelling of the SWCX emission is key to correctly interpret its signal,and remove it from obse rvations,when *** this paper,we compile solar wind abundance measurements from ACE for different solar wind types,and atomic data from literature,including charge exchange cross-sections and emission probabilities,used fo r calculating the compound cross-section a for the SWCX X-ray *** calculate a values for charge-exchange with H and He,relevant to soft X-ray energy bands(0.1-2.0 keV)for various solar wind types and solar cycle conditions.

The present study aims to assess the externalities of a ski resort,that is planned to be built at Tzoumerka mountains,in *** research relies on the Contingent Valuation method,which indirectly estimates the economic value of environmental and other nonmarket assets,based on the expressed preferences of members of a social *** investigation was based on primary *** core idea of questionnaire’s design,is subject to the use of a double WTP(willingness to pay)question,aiming at the monetary assessment of the attitude of the residents,regarding the upcoming infrastructure project,taking into account both its positive and its negative *** on the attitude of the survey respondents,they were asked to decide if they wish to offer an amount of money either to promote or to prevent the construction of the ski *** and non-parametric models were then applied in order to calculate in economic terms the expressed opinion of the *** primary question to be answered is whether the willingness to build the ski resort holds a higher economic value than the desire to prevent *** to the results of the survey,the vast majority of residents(92.4%)supported the idea of building the ski resort,projecting their apparent desire for the tourist and economic development of the *** reinforcement of the construction idea of the project was estimated on average at €378,*** very low proportion of the participants who disagreed with the project(5%),did not allow the economic assessment of its prevention,leaving room for further research into the application of Contingent Valuation method and its contribution in cost-benefit analysis and decision making,regarding upcoming projects.

During the last decade, transient receptor potential （TRP） channels emerge as key proteins in central mechanisms of the carcinogenesis such as cell proliferation, apoptosis and migration. Initial studies showed that expression profile of some TRP channels, notably TRP melastatin 8 （TRPM8）, TRP vanilloid 6 （TRPV6）,TRP canonical （TRPC6） and TRPV2, is changing during the development and the progression of prostate cancer towards the hormone-refractory stages. The link between the change in expression levels and the functional role of these channels in prostate cancer is step by step being elucidated. These recent advances are here described and discussed.

This paper deals with modeling of the phenomenon of fretting fatigue in heterogeneous materials using the multi-scale computational homogenization technique and finite element analysis(FEA).The heterogeneous material for the specimens consists of a single hole model(25% void/cell,16% void/cell and 10% void/cell)and a four-hole model(25%void/cell).Using a representative volume element(RVE),we try to produce the equivalent homogenized properties and work on a homogeneous specimen for the study of fretting ***,the fretting fatigue contact problem is performed for 3 new cases of models that consist of a homogeneous and a heterogeneous part(single hole cell)in the contact *** aim is to analyze the normal and shear stresses of these models and compare them with the results of the corresponding heterogeneous models based on the Direct Numerical Simulation(DNS)***,by comparing the computational time and%deviations,we draw conclusions about the reliability and effectiveness of the proposed method.

Age-related macular degeneration(AMD) is the most common cause of blindness in the United States in adults over 55 years of age and is one of the leading global causes of blindness: at least 196 million of the worldwide population have AMD, and prevalence is projected to rise to 288 million by 2040(Lin et al., 2021). As cases and disease burden increase, improvements in the characterization of AMD pathobiology and exploration of potential therapeutic solutions are necessary first steps in addressing this global health concern.

In the present paper,a life cycle assessment(LCA)study regarding barley and lettuce production in Spain(Barrax and Santomera regions)and Italy(Albenga region)in both open field(OF)and standard greenhouse(GH)cultivations was performed in order to evaluate energy consumption and environmental *** study examines also the impact of the use of compost produced from agricultural wastes(AW).In this context,a detailed life cycle directory was created,based on site-specific experimental data,and used for a holistic cradle-to-gate LCA analysis using the GaBi 6 software package and specific related *** order to reveal the importance of system boundaries,factors that are often excluded from LCA studies,such as agricultural machinery manufacture,nursery production,waste management and raw materials transportation have been *** to the results of this study,the use of compost for fertilization of both crops is considered a good agronomic and ecological strategy in order to maintain productivity in terms of yield,especially in the case of greenhouse cultivation,and improve overall sustainability in the agricultural ***,the phases of compost production,irrigation system,and greenhouse construction and operation were identified as the three main‘‘hotspots”with the highest environmental impact and energy contribution in all studied ***,improvements to reduce those impacts were proposed.

Pancreatic adenocarcinoma(usually referred to aspancreatic cancer) is a highly lethal and aggressive malignancy with a disease-related mortality almost equaling its incidence, and one of the most challenging cancers to treat. The notorious resistance of pancreatic cancer not only to conventional cytotoxic therapies but also to almost all targeted agents developed to date, continues to puzzle the oncological community and represents one of the biggest hurdles to reducing the death toll from this ominous disease. This editorial highlights the most important recent advances in preclinical and clinical research, with regards to targeted therapeutics for pancreatic cancer, outlines current challenges and provides an overview of potential future perspectives in this rapidly evolving field.

For future multi-dimensional optical networks, vast network resources provided by space division multiplexing and wavelength division multiplexing technologies, require new network architectures to scale up current network functions. The huge switch-granularity range requires a more dynamic way to deploy network resources. In this paper, we proposed a hardware-programmable optical network which deploys network resources according to incoming traffic requests. The proposed network supports node function programmability and node architecture adaptability, which are critical for dynamic function and resources deployments. Architecture-onDemand based node architecture adapts node architectures and also enables network function programmability by incorporating with several flexible node functions. Other enabling technologies, such as ubiquitous power monitoring and dynamic optical power management, assures the programmable optical node work *** on all these technologies, we established a hardware-programmable optical network testbed. Several use cases were demonstrated successfully, such as dynamic power equalization and optical debugging. These work verified the feasibility of hardware-programmable optical network, which dynamically allocate network resources for service provision. The proposed hardware programmable optical network will lead to a better hardware utilization and provide a possible solution for the future multi-dimensional optical network.
