Fourth generation wireless communication systems feel the necessity of transparent and seamless user roaming with end-to-end connectivity. These systems also demand higher data rate, higher mobility support and QoS guarantees due to rapid development of wireless and mobile networks. These requirements open potentials for the operators to increase their service portfolio and for the users to experience context-rich and personalized services. Consequently the interoperability between different wireless network platforms emerges as a crucial necessity. Here focus is given to the significance of the network interoperability aspect based on layered approach and its role in the development towards 4G. This paper also gives an overview of the major 4G features and differentiating characteristics from other generations.

In the era of rapid development of Internet of Things(IoT),numerous machine-to-machine technologies have been applied to the industrial *** to the divergence of IoT solutions,the industry is faced with a need to apply various technologies for automation and *** fact leads to a demand for an establishing interworking mechanism which would allow smooth interoperability between heterogeneous *** of the major protocols widely used today in industrial electronic devices is ***,data generated by Modbus devices cannot be understood by IoT applications using different protocols,so it should be applied in a couple with an IoT service layer ***2M,a global IoT standard,can play the role of interconnecting various protocols,as it provides flexible tools suitable for building an interworking framework for industrial ***,in this paper,we propose an interworking architecture between devices working on the Modbus protocol and an IoT platform implemented based on oneM2M *** the proposed architecture,we introduce the way to model Modbus data as oneM2M resources,rules to map them to each other,procedures required to establish interoperable communication,and optimization methods for this *** analyze our solution and provide an evaluation by implementing it based on a solar power management use *** results demonstrate that our model is feasible and can be applied to real case scenarios.

Plant tissue culture is a technique that enhances the quality and quantity of potatoes. Potatoes are a significant crop and are primarily used in the world. It is a staple food in many countries, where millions of tonnes are produced annually. It is an essential source of many nutrients, such as proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, and beta-carotene. In addition, potatoes are being used as therapeutic agents against cancer and other human diseases as well. Potatoes are on the third list after wheat and rice. To overcome food shortages and malnutrition, there are two methods used for producing potatoes: the first is sexual, which is seed propagation, and the second is asexual, which is plant tissue culture propagation. Conventional potato breeding is a uniform method, but it is unsafe because there is a risk of pathogen attack. In a laboratory setting, the tissue culture of potatoes produced millions of plants with nutrient-rich medium under controlled environmental conditions that prevent pest attacks. Some environmental stresses, such as salinity and water scarcity, affect potato yield and production;however, applying nanoparticles like organic, inorganic, and silicon dioxide enhances potato quality and combats stress. Biotechnology has proven to be helpful in addressing all these issues. This review discusses the significance of potatoes, their production through the tissue culture technique, and the application of nanoparticles to improve the growth, and impact of potatoes on human health.

Various compositions of cobalt and sulfur co-doped titania nano-photocatalyst are synthesized via sol–gel method. A number of techniques including X-ray diffraction（XRD）, ultraviolet–visible（UV–Vis）, Rutherford backscattering spectrometry（RBS）, thermal gravimetric analysis（TGA）Raman, N2 sorption, electron microscopy are used to examine composition, crystalline phase, morphology, distribution of dopants, surface area and optical properties o synthesized materials. The synthesized materials consisted of quasispherical nanoparticles of anatase phase exhibiting a high surface area and homogeneous distribution o dopants. Cobalt and sulfur co-doped titania demonstrated remarkable structural and optical properties leading to an efficient photocatalytic activity for degradation of dyes and phenol under visible light irradiations. Moreover, the effect of dye concentration catalyst dose and p H on photodegradation behavior of environmental pollutants and recyclability of the catalyst is also examined to optimize the activity of nano-photocatalys and gain a better understanding of the process.

Vernacular buildings across the globe provide instructive examples of sustainable solutions to building problems. Yet, these solutions are assumed to be inapplicable to modern buildings. Despite some views to the contrary, there continues to be a tendency to consider innovative building technology as the hallmark of modern architecture because tradition is commonly viewed as the antonym of modernity. The problem is addressed by practical exercises and fieldwork studies in the application of vernacular traditions to current problems. This study investigates some aspects of mainstream modernist design solutions and concepts inherent in the vernacular of Asia, particularly that of the Chittagong Hill Tracts （CHT）. This work hinges on such ideas and practices as ecological design, modular and incremental design, standardization, and flexible and temporal concepts in the design of spaces. The blurred edges between the traditional and modern technical aspects of building design, as addressed by both vernacular builders and modern architects, are explored.

To prevent economic,social,and ecological damage,fire detection and management at an early stage are significant yet *** computationally complex networks have been developed,attention has been largely focused on improving accuracy,rather than focusing on real-time fire ***,in this study,the authors present an efficient fire detection framework termed E-FireNet for real-time detection in a complex surveillance *** proposed model architecture is inspired by the VGG16 network,with significant modifications including the entire removal of Block-5 and tweaking of the convolutional layers of *** results in higher performance with a reduced number of parameters and inference ***,smaller convolutional kernels are utilized,which are particularly designed to obtain the optimal details from input images,with numerous channels to assist in feature *** E-FireNet,three steps are involved:preprocessing of collected data,detection of fires using the proposed technique,and,if there is a fire,alarms are generated and transmitted to law enforcement,healthcare,and management ***,E-FireNet achieves 0.98 accuracy,1 precision,0.99 recall,and 0.99 F1-score.A comprehensive investigation of various Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)models is conducted using the newly created Fire Surveillance SV-Fire *** empirical results and comparison of numerous parameters establish that the proposed model shows convincing performance in terms of accuracy,model size,and execution time.

Analysis of stiffness and flexural strength of a reinforced concrete beam using an invented reinforcement system

In this study,we conducted experimental tests on two specimens of reinforced concrete beams using a three-point bending test to optimize the flexure and stiffness *** first specimen is a reinforced concrete beam with an ordinary reinforcement,and the second specimen has an invented reinforcement system that consists of an ordinary reinforcement in addition to three additional bracings using steel bars and steel *** results of the flexure test were collected and analyzed,and the flexural strength,the rate of damage during bending,and the stiffness were *** element modeling was applied for both specimens using the LS-DYNA program,and the simulation results of the flexure test for the same outputs were *** results of the experimental tests showed that the flexural strength of the invented reinforcement system was significantly enhanced by 15.5%compared to the ordinary ***,the flexural cracks decreased to a significant extent,manifesting extremely small and narrow cracks in the flexure spread along the bottom face of the *** addition,the maximum deflection for the invented reinforced concrete beam decreased to 1/3 compared to that of an ordinary reinforced concrete *** results were verified through numerical simulations,which demonstrated excellent similarities between the flexural failure and the stiffness of the *** invented reinforcement system exhibited a high capability in boosting the flexure design and stiffness.

Using a general double series identity, Laurent type generating functions(in terms of Kampéde Fériet double hypergeometric function) are derived. Some known results obtained by the method of Lie groups and Lie algebras, are also modified here as special cases.

The influence of La_(2)O_(3) inclusion(0-3 wt%) on the micro structure,phase formation and mechanical properties of zirconia toughed alumina(ZTA) added with 5.0 wt% CeO_(2) was *** CeO_(2) composites were sintered at 1600℃ for 4 *** microstructure,phase formation,density,fracture toughness and hardness properties were characterised through FESEM,Microscopy Image Analysis Software and XRD diffractometer,Archimedes principle and Vickers indentation technique,*** XRD,image processing and FESEM reveal the existence of LaAl_(11)O_(18).The addition of La_(2)O_(3) incites the sintering,microstructure refinement,densification of ZTA-CeO_(2) matrix and phase ***,the hardness of ZTA-CeO_(2) ceramics is increased rapidly based on refinement of Al_(2)O_(3) grains,densification of ZTA-CeO_(2) composites and porosity *** is observed that the fracture toughness is enhanced through in situ formation of elongated LaAl_(11)O_(18) *** addition of 0.7 wt% La_(2)O_(3) culminated in the achievement of the optimum findings for density(4.41 g/cm^(3)),porosity(0.46%),hardness(1792 HV) and fracture toughness(8.8 MPa·m^(1/2)).Nevertheless,excess La_(2)O_(3) is proven to be detrimental as it displays poor mechanical properties due to the poor compactness of numerous LaAl_(11)O_(18) grains,coarsening of Al_(2)O_(3) grains and decline in density.
