The increased presence of electric vehicle charging locations in a power system with high penetration of intermittent wind power potentially leads to operation complexities resulting in abnormal impacts.This paper proposes an innovative framework for assessing the impact of plug-in electric vehicle(PEV)charging locations on a power system with integrated wind farms,incorporating dynamic thermal limits(DTLs).The framework comprises Monte Carlo simulation,which is embedded with stochastic modeling of various uncertainties under the key operating conditions.As part of the modeling framework,the transmission lines are ranked in accordance with the lowest level of expected energy not supplied.The PEV charging demand is then modeled by incorporating DTLs and applied to the least stressed transmission lines,following the IEEE 738-2006 standard.The new assessment framework is investigated using an IEEE 24-bus test system.The results demonstrate that applying DTLs on the least stressed transmission lines in conjunction with the integration of decentralized wind farms and strategic charging location of PEVs significantly improves the security of the energy supply and considerably reduces interruption costs,as opposed to not having such a framework.

为研究金属离子对白云石矿浆体系分散行为的影响,通过浊度实验研究了矿浆pH及Ca^(2+)、Mg^(2+)、Fe^(3+)、Al^(3+)等金属离子对白云石矿浆浊度的影响,并采用Zeta电位、XPS和经典DLVO理论模型等进行表征。结果表明:金属离子种类和矿浆pH对白云石颗粒分散行为具有不同程度的抑制作用;未添加金属离子条件下,在pH为4~10时,矿浆浊度值均保持在400NTU左右,白云石颗粒分散行为良好;添加金属离子后,白云石矿浆浊度均出现不同程度的下降,几种金属离子对白云石颗粒分散行为的抑制能力由大到小的顺序依次为Fe^(3+)、Al^(3+)、Mg^(2+)、Ca^(2+)。在一定pH范围内,金属离子通过羟基络合物或沉淀形式附着在白云石颗粒表面,消除白云石颗粒之间的相互作用能势垒,而颗粒之间通过桥联作用发生聚集,从而破坏了白云石颗粒在矿浆体系中的分散行为。

Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)vaccines are currently approved or authorized to prevent serious outcomes,such as severe disease,hospitalization,and death.The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is recommended for everyone aged five and older in the United States(US)to prevent severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)infection[1,2].However,it is unclear whether children with a history of multisystem,inflammatory syndrome in children(MIS-C)may be at risk for a MIS-like response following COVID-19 vaccination or SARS-CoV-2 reinfection[2].Therefore,physicians remain uncertain about vaccinating children with a history of MIS-C.This study investigates the occurrence of severe,systemic side effects of COVID-19 vaccines and the recurrence of the MIS-C symptoms in children with a history of MIS-C to overcome vaccine hesitancy.

茶叶是世界三大无酒精饮品之一,在我国有悠久的种植历史和广布的种植面积,贵州省投产的茶园有46.67万公顷,位居我国各省区投产茶园前茅,如何高效安全地控制茶园害虫,提高茶叶的产量和质量,一直是广泛关注的热点。利用天敌控制害虫在茶园虫害防控中得到了普遍应用。独栖蜂是茶园生态系统中一类重要的捕食性天敌,而且部分独栖蜂兼具传粉功能,在生态系统中起到独特的作用。人工巢穴技术(管巢法)利用独栖蜂在巢管中筑巢的特性,采集到的样本均是在当地生态系统生活与繁殖的物种,因此采集到的数据能更直接地反映出当地的生态条件,但是该方法周期较长、成本较高,可利用数据较为有限。本数据集利用人工巢穴技术收集了贵州省湄潭、久安、都匀三个主要茶叶产地生态茶园内原生境独栖蜂,内容包含了2021年在以上三地收集到的独栖蜂种类、数量、取食对象、筑巢习性、发生规律等相关信息。本数据集可为明确贵州省茶园独栖蜂种类及优势类群、并进一步研究其种群动态与生防潜力等提供数据基础。

Steady-state security in distribution networks with large wind farms

Aging network assets,forced and unforced outages,and the way the networks are operated in a deregulated market are of significant concerns to integrate large wind farms in a distribution network.In many cases,the constrained network capacity is a potential barrier to the large-scale integration of wind power.This paper probabilistically assesses the steady-state security in a distribution network in the presence of large wind farms.The approach incorporates active distribution network operating conditions,including intermittent power outputs,random outages,demand fluctuations,and dynamic interactions and exchanges,and then assesses the steady state security using Monte Carlo simulation.A case study is performed by integrating large wind farms into a distribution network.The results suggest that intermittent outputs of large wind farms in a distribution network can impact the steady-state security considerably.However,the level of impact of wind farms does not necessarily correlate with the installed capacity of them.

The ascendant danger of bacterial infections has resulted in an urgent requirement for developing new antibacterial approaches.Recently,nitric oxide(NO)has shown a broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity while avoiding resistance.However,achieving effective NO-based antibacterial therapies remains challenging,mired by the safety concerns of NO donor,residual toxicity by the ingredients,or complicated procedures.Herein,a self-activated NO-releasing hydrogel depot is fabricated by Ca^(2+)-crosslinked sodium alginate doped with CaO_(2)nanoparticles,L-arginine,and oxidized mesoporous carbon nanoparticles(OMCN)for photothermal enhanced bacteria killing.The locally concentrated H_(2)O_(2),generated from the reaction of CaO_(2)nanoparticles and water,could oxidize L-arginine to release NO.Meanwhile,benefiting from the remarkable photothermal effect of OMCN,the hybrid hydrogel possesses a synergistic sterilization behavior in combating both Gram-negative Escherichia coli and Grampositive Staphylococcus aureus bacteria in vitro.Moreover,the dual therapeutic hydrogel displays high efficiency in treatment of bacteria-infected mice with back wound model while showing no distinct toxicity.In addition,the restricted environment of hydrogel makes it easy to remove all the components from the infected wound,alleviating possible side effects from exogenous H_(2)O_(2).As such,the designed NO-synergistic photothermal hydrogel provides a promising strategy for treating bacterial infections.

With the increased integration of photovoltaic(PV)power generation into active distribution networks,the operational challenges and their complexities are increased.Such networks need detailed characterization PV systems under multiple operating conditions to understand true impacts.This paper presents a new mathematical model for a PV system to capture detailed effects of PV systems.The proposed model incorporates state transitions of components in a PV system and captures effects of insolation variations.The paper performs a reliability assessment incorporating PV systems at resource locations.The results suggest that the reliability performance of an active distribution network at stressed operating conditions might be influenced by the high penetration of PV system.Reliability performance of distribution networks that are high penetrated with PV systems can be affected by cloudy effects resulting from insolation variations.The proposed model can be used to quantify the level of reduction in reliability,resulting with cloudy effects.

Introduction: Labour admission cardiotocography (CTG) is commonly used non-invasive method of fetal monitoring in Sri Lanka. It may have a potentialto predict perinatal outcome in low-risk term pregnancies. Objectives: Objectives of the study were to determine the perinatal outcomes of normal, suspicious and pathological admission CTGs and role of labour admission cardiotocography as a predictive test for perinatal outcome in low-risk term pregnancies in spontaneous labour. Methods: This study was a prospective observational study done involving 445 low risk, term pregnancies in spontaneous labour. Labour admission CTG was performed in each pregnancy and categorized into normal, suspicious and pathological CTG according to criteria depicted by National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) guideline 2007. Apgar score less than 7 at five minutes, resuscitation at birth, admission to neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), seizure within first 24 hours of birth and meconium-stained amniotic fluid were the primary outcome measures to assess fetal asphyxia. Mode of delivery in each category, nuchal cord at birth were also assessed. Results: Majority of participants were in 25-to-29-year age group and were nulliparous. Frequencies of normal, suspicious and pathological CTG were 74.8%, 18% and 7.2% respectively. Pathological CTG was significantly associated with low Apgar score compared to non-pathological CTG group (p 0.005) while other outcome measures were not significant. Rate of operative delivery was 68% in pathological group and 20.8% in non-pathological CTG group. Sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV) and negative predictive value (NPV) of labour admission CTG to detect fetal asphyxia were 51.85%, 95.69%, 43.75% and 96.85% respectively. Conclusions: Incidence of pathological labour admission CTG was 7.2%. Apgar score less than 7 at five minutes of birth was significantly associated with pathological CTG group compared to non-pathological CTG (p 0.05). Worsening of CTG from normal to pathologi

In the Bayesian mixture modeling framework it is possible to infer the necessary number of components to model the data and therefore it is unnecessary to explicitly restrict the number of components. Nonparametric mixture models sidestep the problem of finding the ＂correct＂ number of mixture components by assuming infinitely many components. In this paper Dirichlet process mixture （DPM） models are cast as infinite mixture models and inference using Markov chain Monte Carlo is described. The specification of the priors on the model parameters is often guided by mathematical and practical convenience. The primary goal of this paper is to compare the choice of conjugate and non-conjugate base distributions on a particular class of DPM models which is widely used in applications, the Dirichlet process Gaussian mixture model （DPGMM）. We compare computational efficiency and modeling performance of DPGMM defined using a conjugate and a conditionally conjugate base distribution. We show that better density models can result from using a wider class of priors with no or only a modest increase in computational effort.
