An efficient quantum proactive incremental learning algorithm

In scenarios where a large amount of data needs to be learned,incremental learning can make full use of old knowledge,signif-icantly reduce the computational cost of the overall learning process,and maintain high *** this paper,taking the MaxCut problem as our example,we introduce the idea of incremental learning into quantum computing,and propose a Quantum Proactive Incremental Learning algorithm(QPIL).Instead of a one-off training of quantum circuit,QPIL contains a multi-phase training on gradually-increased subgraphs of all vertices,proactively reducing large-scale problems to smaller ones to solve in steps,providing an efficient solution for ***,some vertices and corresponding edges are randomly selected for training to obtain optimized parameters of the quantum circuit at ***,in each incremental phase,the remaining vertices and corresponding edges are gradually added and the parameters obtained from the previous phase are reused in the parameter initialization of the current *** perform experiments on 120 different small-scale graphs,and it shows that QPIL performs superior to prevalent quantum and classical baselines in terms of approximation ratio(AR),time cost,anti-forgetting,and solv-ing *** particular,QPIL’s AR surpasses 20%of mainstream quantum baselines,and the time cost is less than 1/5 of *** idea of QPIL is expected to inspire efficient and high-quality solutions in large-scale MaxCut and other combinatorial optimization problems.

Tuojiang River Basin is a first-class tributary of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River—which is the longest river in *** phytoplankton are sensitive indicators of trophic changes inwater bodies,characterizing phytoplankton communities and their growth influencing factors in polluted urban rivers can provide new ideas for pollution ***,we used direct microscopic count and environmental DNA(eDNA)metabarcoding methods to investigate phytoplankton community structure in Tuojiang River Basin(Chengdu,Sichuan Province,China).The association between phytoplankton community structure and water environmental factors was evaluated by Mantel *** environmental monitoring data were used to pinpoint major factors that influenced phytoplankton growth based on structural equation *** the phylum level,the dominant phytoplankton taxa identified by the conventional microscopic method mainly belonged to Bacillariophyta,Chlorophyta,and Cyanophyta,in contrast with Chlorophyta,Dinophyceae,and Bacillariophyta identified by eDNA ***α-diversity analysis,eDNA metabarcoding detected greater species diversity and achieved higher precision than the microscopic *** growth was largely limited by phosphorus based on the nitrogen-to-phosphorus ratios>16:1 in all water *** analysis and structural equation modeling also confirmed that the nitrogen-to-phosphorus ratio was the principal factor influencing phytoplankton *** results could be useful for implementing comprehensive management of the river basin *** is recommended to control the discharge of point-and surface-source pollutants and the concentration of dissolved oxygen in areas with excessive nutrients(e.g.,Jianyang-Ziyang).Algae monitoring techniques and removal strategies should be improved in 201 Hospital,Hongrihe Bridge and Colmar Town areas.

The gas explosion in residential building has always been a highly concerned *** in homogeneous mixtures have been extensively ***,mixtures are often inhomogeneous in the practical scenarios due to the differences in the densities of methane and *** order to investigate the effects of gas explosions in inhomogeneous mixtures,experimental studies involving gas leakage and explosion are conducted in a full-scale residential building to reproduce the process of gas *** fitting the dimensionless buoyancy as a function of dimensionless height and dimensionless time,a distribution model of gas in large-scale spaces is established,and the mechanism of inhomogeneous distribution of methane is also be ***,the stratified reconstruction method(SRM)is introduced for efficiently setting up inhomogeneous concentration fields in *** simulation results highlight that for the internal overpressure,the distribution of methane has no effect on the first overpressure peak(ΔP1),while it significantly influences the subsequent overpressure peak(ΔP2),and the maximum difference between the overpressure of homogeneous and inhomogeneous distribution is174.3%.Moreover,the initial concentration distribution also has a certain impact on the external overpressure.

17α-methyltestosterone(17α-MT)is an emerging pollutant,which is harmful to the endocrine system and reproduction of *** investigated the effects of different concentrations of 17α-MT(0,5,30,60,and 100 mg/kg)on endoplasmic reticulum stress(ERS)and apoptosis in the liver of Takifugu *** show that:(1)with the increase of 17α-MT treatment concentration,liver transaminases(alanine aminotransferase;aspartate aminotransferase)and the mRNA expression of ERS marker genes(glucose-regulated protein 78;calreticulin)of *** were significantly increased compared with the control group(Pliver of *** increased with the increase of 17α-MT concentration compared with the control group(P<0.05);(3)by using 4-phenylbutyricacid(4-PBA)inhibitors to stimulate ERS through in vitro experiments,the expression of ERS and apoptosis-related genes significantly decreased(P<0.05),and the apoptosis rate of *** hepatocytes was significantly inhibited(P<0.05)under 17α-MT *** study confirmed that ERS played an important role in the induction of apoptosis in the hepatocytes of ***,which enriched the ecotoxicological information of environmental androgens.

Effect of lysozyme combined with hydrothermal pretreatment on excess sludge and anaerobic digestion

Anaerobic digestion(AD)is widely employed for sludge stabilization and waste ***,the slow hydrolysis process hinders methane production and leads to prolonged sludge *** this study,an efficient and eco-friendly lysozyme pre-treatment method was utilized to address these *** optimizing lysozyme dosage,hydrolysis and cell lysis were ***,lysozyme combined with hydrothermal pretreatment enhanced overall *** indicate that:(1)When lysozyme dosage reached 90 mg/g TS after 240 min of pretreatment,SCOD,soluble polysaccharides,and protein content reached their maxima at 855.00,44.09,and 204.86 mg/L,*** represented an increase of 85.87%,365.58%,and 259.21%compared to the untreated *** fluorescence spectroscopy revealed the highest fluorescence intensity in the IV region(soluble microbial product),promoting microbial metabolic activity.(2)Lysozyme combined with hydrothermal pretreatment significantly increased SCOD,soluble proteins,and polysaccharide release from sludge,reducing SCOD release *** experiments identified Group 3 as the most effective for SCOD and soluble polysaccharide release,while Group 9 released the most soluble *** significance order of factors influencing SCOD,soluble proteins,and polysaccharide release is hydrothermal temperature>hydrothermal time>enzymatic digestion time.(3)The lysozyme-assisted hydrothermal pretreatment group exhibited the fastest release and the highest SCOD concentration of 8,135.00 mg/L during anaerobic *** SCOD consumption and cumulative gas production increased by 95.89%and 130.58%,respectively,compared to the control group,allowing gas production to conclude 3 days earlier.

Control of Corner Separation for a linear Compressor Cascade via Bionic Slanting Riblets at the Endwall

A new passive control approach,utilizing bionic slanting riblets,is employed to mitigate the flow close to the blade endwall in a linear cascade,and its effectiveness and mechanism in controlling corner separation are investigated through numerical *** slanting riblets are positioned at the endwall upstream of the cascade channel,and the influence of riblet height,yaw angle and relative position on the control of corner separation is *** findings indicate that the application of slanting riblets can efficiently counteract corner separation across the stable operational ***,the introduction of riblets with a height of merely 0.1 times the boundary layer thickness results in a significant reduction in total pressure loss by up to 14.53%,while simultaneously enhancing the static pressure coefficient by 21.74%.Flow analysis reveals that minute vortices produced within the riblet channels tend to coalesce,forming a potent large-scale vortex near the boundary layer's base *** phenomenon results in reduced additional losses compared to conventional vortex ***,the induced vortex promotes enhanced mixing between the mainstream flow and boundary layer,inhibiting the lateral displacement of low-energy fluids within the endwall boundary ***,this delays the onset of separation vortex formation and eliminates vortex rings in the corner region,ultimately enhancing the aerodynamic efficiency of the cascade.

Reversible li2C2O4 product regulation in li–CO2 batteries using single-atom alloy engineering

The efficiency of lithium-carbon dioxide （li–CO2） batteries is limited by the sluggish generation/decomposition kinetics of the discharge products （i.e.,li2CO3and carbon） despite the use of state-of-the-art noble metal （NM） ***2C2O4has emerged as a promising alternative product;however,the thermodynamic instability of li2C2O4causes it to generally appear as an intermediate in li2CO3pathways rather than a product during ***,using comprehensive first-principles calculations,we report tailoring the discharge products of li–CO2batteries to li2C2O4via single-atom alloy （SAA） engineering,in which NM-doped copper SAAs （NM1Cu） are constructed for *** NM1Cu catalysts display a free-atom-like narrow d-band state and unique charge distribution over the solute NM1atom and the surrounding matrix Cu *** an optimized electronic structure is substantial in Ru1Cu and Ir1Cu,which is conducive to the co-activation and coupling of *** lithiation of*CO2intermediate that breaks the charge symmetry of the central C species can further reduce the kinetic barriers of the C–C *** advantages promote li2C2O4generation on Ru1Cu and Ir1Cu while suppress its subsequent ***,they exhibit low theoretical overpotentials and enable facile delithiation under normal charging *** work proposes a universal principle of manipulating electronic structures to achieve li2C2O4product,which provides practical guidance for the development of li–CO2batteries.

Construction of an artificial zinc alloy layer toward stable zinc-metal anode

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries(AZIBs)present a promising option for next-generation batteries given their high safety,eco-friendliness,and resource ***,the practical application of zinc anodes is hindered by inevitable parasitic reactions and dendrite ***,zinc alloy layers(i.e.,ZnCo and ZnFe alloys)were rationally constructed on the zinc surface by chemical displacement *** alloying process exposes more(002)planes of the ZnCo anode to guide the preferential and dendrite-free zinc ***,the ZnCo alloy layer not only effectively inhibits water-induced side reactions but also accelerates electrode kinetics,enabling highly reversible zinc plating/*** a result,the ZnCo anode achieves a Coulombic efficiency of 99.2%over 1300 cycles,and the ZnCo symmetric cell exhibits a long cycle life of over 2000 h at 4.4 mA cm^(-2).Importantly,the ZnCo//NH_(4)V_(4)O_(10)full cell retains a high discharge capacity of 218.4 mAh g^(-1)after 800 ***,the ZnFe-based symmetric cell also displays excellent cycling stability over 2500 h at 1.77 mA cm^(-2).This strategy provides a facile anode modification approach toward high-performance AZIBs.

High-throughput screening of CO_(2) cycloaddition MOF catalyst with an explainable machine learning model

The high porosity and tunable chemical functionality of metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)make it a promising catalyst design ***-throughput screening of catalytic performance is feasible since the large MOF structure database is *** this study,we report a machine learning model for high-throughput screening of MOF catalysts for the CO_(2) cycloaddition *** descriptors for model training were judiciously chosen according to the reaction mechanism,which leads to high accuracy up to 97%for the 75%quantile of the training set as the classification *** feature contribution was further evaluated with SHAP and PDP analysis to provide a certain physical understanding.12,415 hypothetical MOF structures and 100 reported MOFs were evaluated under 100℃ and 1 bar within one day using the model,and 239 potentially efficient catalysts were *** them,MOF-76(Y)achieved the top performance experimentally among reported MOFs,in good agreement with the prediction.

Macro-and micro-mechanical response and damage mechanism of sandstone under high-temperature conditions

The thermal effects of coal combustion considerably influence the physical and chemical properties,structural characteristics, and stability of rocks, posing a serious threat to the safety of coal mining operations. In this study, the impacts of temperature on the physical and chemical characteristics(i.e., mineral phase, microstructure, and mechanical strength) of sandstone were investigated by employing experimental methods, including microstructural analysis, uniaxial acoustic emission(AE), and nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR). The results indicate that temperature alters the mineral phase and the pore characteristics, and these two factors jointly affect the mechanical properties of sandstone. The influence of temperature on the mechanical strength of sandstone is categorized into low-temperature strengthening and high-temperature damage, with a threshold temperature identified at 600 ℃. The lowtemperature strengthening effect encompasses both pore strengthening and mineral phase strengthening, while the high-temperature damage effect primarily results from pore damage. As the experimental temperature rises, both the number of AE events and the AE energy transition from a surge in the postpeak failure stage to a stepwise increase during the loading process. This transition implies that the failure mode of the sandstone sample evolves from brittle failure to tensile failure.
