Background Previous studies reported a close relationship between obesity and insulin resistance in the essential hypertensive patients. Objective In this study, we examined the relationship between the skin fold thickness and insulin resistance then developed a formula to estimate the insulin resistance index according to the skin fold thickness in the essential hypertensive patients. Subjects and Methods Medical records of 80 patients (37 males, 43 females) were reviewed and the data were tabulated. Anthropometric indexes (including height, weight, waist circumference, hip circumference, and skins fold thickness at 5 fatty difference points on the Erdheim diagram), fasting plasma glucose and insulin concentration were recorded. The mean age was 57.0 ?9.2 years. The insulin resistance index was calculated following the Homeostasis Model Assessment (HOMA) formula. Results Compared with the group with BMI 0.05). There was a positive correlation between skin fold thickness and the fasting insulin concentration and insulin resistance index. The skin fold thickness at point A8 had the best coefficient correlated with fasting plasma insulin(r=0.79, P < 0.001) and insulin resistance index (r= 0.79, P < 0.001). A formula to estimate the insulin resistance index by skin fold thickness at point A8 as: Insulin resistance index = 0.12×[skin fold thickness at A8 point (mm)] - 1. Conclusion: In the essential hypertensive patients, the formula to estimate insulin resistance index as 0.12×[skin fold thickness at A8 point (mm)]-1 may predict accurately the level of insulin resistance. Objective:To evaluate the use of Gallium-68 prostate-specific membrane antigen positron emission tomography/computed tomography(^(68)Ga-PSMA PET/CT),compared with conventional CT abdomen/pelvis(CTAP)and whole body single photon emission CT bone scan(BS),for detection of local or distant metastasis following biochemical failure/recurrence in post-prostatectomy ***:We conducted a review of our prospectively maintained,institutional database to identify 384 patients with post-prostatectomy biochemical failure/recurrence who underwent PSMA PET/CT,CTAP and BS from February 2015 to August 2017 in Nepean Hospital,tertiary referral *** results of the three imaging modalities were analysed for their ability to detect local recurrence and distant *** PET/CT and CTAP imaging were separately performed on the same day and the BS was performed within several days(mostly in 24 h).Difference in detection rates was determined between the modalities and the Chi square test was used to determine ***:A total of 384 patients were identified with a median prostate-specific antigen(PSA)of 0.465 ng/mL(interquartile range =0.19-2.00 ng/mL).Overall,PSMA PET/CT was positive for 245(63.8%)patients whereas CTAP and BS were positive in 174 patients(45.3%).A total of 98 patients(25.5%)had local or distant metastasis detected on PSMA only,while 20 patients(5.2%)had recurrences detected on CTAP but not on PSMA PET/***:The use of PSMA PET/CT has a higher detection rate of predicted local or distant metastasis compared to CTAP and BS in the staging of patients with biochemical recurrences after radical prostatectomy.

We analyze MESSENGER reflectance measurements covering the northern polar region of Mercury,the least studied region of the northern mercurian *** use observations from the Mercury Dual Imaging System Wide-Angle Camera(MDIS/WAC)and the Mercury Atmospheric and Surface Composition Spectrometer(MASCS/VIRS)to study the spectral dependence of the surface *** results obtained from the observations made by both instruments are remarkably *** find that a second degree polynomial description of the measured reflectance spectra gives very good fits to the data and that the information that they carry can best be characterized by two parameters,the mean reflectance and the mean relative spectral slope,averaged over the explored range of *** properties of the four main types of terrains known to form Mercury’s regolith in the northern region,smooth plains(SPs),heavily cratered terrain(HCT),fresh ejecta/materials and red pitted ground(RPG),are examined in terms of these two *** results are compared,and found consistent with those obtained by earlier studies in spite of difficulties met in obtaining accurate reflectance measurements under the large incidence angle condition characteristic of polar *** results will help with the preparation of the BepiColombo mission and with supporting its observational strategy.

Observations of an unprecedented quality made by ALMA on the Red Rectangle of CO（3-2） and CO（6-5） emissions are analysed jointly with the aim of obtaining as simple as possible a description of the gas morphology and kinematics. Evidence is found for polar conical outflows and for a broad equatorial torus in rotation and expansion. Simple models of both are proposed. Comparing CO（6-5） and CO（3-2） emissions provides evidence for a strong temperature enhancement over the polar outflows. Continuum emission （dust） is seen to be enhanced in the equatorial region. Observed asymmetries are briefly discussed.

We analyse ALMA observations of the12CO（3-2） emission of the circumstellar envelope（CSE）of the Mira variable binary star W Aql. These provide, for the first time, spatially resolved Doppler velocity spectra of the CSE up to angular distances to the central star ofy nature of the observations（only five minutes in each of～5′′（meaning some 2000 AU）. The explorator two different configurations） does not allow for a detailed modelling of the properties of the CSE but provides important qualitative information on its morphology and kinematics. Emission is found to be enhanced along an axis moving from east/west to north-east/south-west when the angular distance from the central star projected on the plane of the sky increases from zero to four arcseconds. In parallel, the Doppler velocity distribution displays asymmetry along an axis moving from east/west to north-west/south-east. The results are discussed in the context of earlier observations, in particular of the dust morphology.

Observations of the ^12CO（3–2） emission from the circumstellar envelope（CSE） of the variable star π1Gru using the compact array of the ALMA observatory have been recently made accessible to the public. An analysis of the morphology and kinematics of the CSE is presented with a result very similar to that obtained earlier for ^12CO（2–1） emission using the Submillimeter Array. A quantitative comparison is made using their flared disk model. A new model is presented that provides a significantly better description of the data, using radial winds and smooth evolutions of the radio emission and wind velocity from the stellar equator to the poles.

After a brief reminder of the mechanism of gravitational lensing of ex- tended sources, the particular case of the host galaxy of QSO RXJ0911, a high red-shift （z - 2.8） quadruply imaged quasar, is explored. The non linearity of the problem, together with the proximity of the source to a cusp of the lens inner caustic, has impor-tant consequences on the dependence of the image appearance on the size and shape of the source. Their expected main features and their interpretation in terms of source extension and shape are investigated in a spirit of simplicity and in preparation for the analysis of high sensitivity and spatial resolution images that will soon be within reach with the completion of the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array （ALMA）. In particular, the information on source size carded by relative image brightness is dis-cussed. Extension of the results to other types of quadruply imaged quasars is briefly considered.

We use archival ALMA observations of the CO(2-1)and SiO(5-4)molecular line emissions of AGB star R Hya to illustrate the relative contributions of rotation,expansion and line broadening to the morphology and kinematics of the circumstellar envelope(CSE)within some~70 au(~0."5)from the centre of the *** give evidence for rotation and important line broadening to dominate the inner region,within~14 au(~100 mas)from the centre of the *** former is about an axis that projects a few degrees west of north and has a projected rotation velocity of a few km s^(-1).The latter occurs within some 7-14 au(50-100 mas)from the centre of the star,with the line width reaching two to three times its value outside this *** suggest that it is caused by shocks induced by stellar pulsations and convective cell *** show the importance of properly accounting for the observed line broadening when discussing rotation and evaluating the radial dependence of the rotation velocity.
