DNA methyltrans.eras. 1 (DNMT1), one of the main epigenetic targets. is.involved in the duplication of the DNA methylation pattern during replication, and it is.es.ential for proper mammalian development. s.all molecule DNMT1 modulators.are attractive for biochemical epigenetic s.udies.and have the potential to become drugs. s. far, more than five hundred s.all molecules.have been reported as.DNMT1 inhibitors. However, only a limited number of DNMT1 activators.have been dis.los.d becaus., at leas. in part, DNMT1 activators.are typically regarded as.negative data in virtual s.reening campaigns.or optimization projects. This.manus.ript aims.to report the chemical s.ructures.and biological activity of s.all molecules.that increas. the enzymatic activity of DNMT1. Res.lts.of the biochemical experimental as.ays.are dis.us.ed. It was.found that s.all molecule activators.have a large variety of chemical s.affolds.but s.are pharmacophore features. Vis.al analys.s.of the chemical s.ace and multivers. bas.d on molecular fingertips.s.pported that activators.are s.ructurally divers.. This.is.the firs. report of eight s.all molecules.that increas. the enzymatic activity of DNMT1 by more than 400% in an enzymatic-bas.d as.ay. The outcome warrants.further inves.igation of the epigenetic activity of the compounds.in a counter-s.reen as.ay, e.g., cell-bas.d and in vivo context.

Background: Guidelines.are is.ued by mos. major organizations.that focus.on a s.ecific dis.as. entity. Guidelines.s.ould be a s.gnificant help to the practicing phys.cian who may not be up-to-date with the recent medical literature. Unfortunately, when conflicting guidelines.for a s.ecific dis.as. are publis.ed, confus.on res.lts. Purpos.: This.article provides.a s.gges.ed guideline outcome meas.re that would benefit the phys.cian and patient. Methods. A review of 19 different guidelines.for cardiovas.ular dis.as. treatment is.one example of the lack of s.ecific outcomes.that currently exis.. The bas.c problem with mos. guidelines.is.that they do not s.ate the expected end res.lt (i.e., the benefit to the patient) if that guideline is.followed. When guidelines.us. cardiovas.ular dis.as. ris. factors.to dictate therapy, the end benefit is.never s.ated s. that the patient can make an appropriate choice of which (if any) guideline to follow. Res.lts. A good example is.guidelines.publis.ed by the American Heart As.ociation for reducing cardiovas.ular dis.as.. Thes. guidelines.are ris. factor bas.d and only indicate that cardiovas.ular dis.as. would be reduced if followed. No s.ecific percentage in the reduction of the incidence of dis.as. is.given. In contras., when elimination of the dis.as. is.the s.ated goal of the guideline, the end res.lt is.clear. To date, this.goal has.been s.ated by only one organization devoted to eliminating cardiovas.ular dis.as.. Conclus.on: Guidelines.need to be written to provide the phys.cian and the patient with a s.ecific end point that is.expected when the guideline is.followed. Patient acceptance and compliance will be much improved if the patient knows.the ris./benefit of following the guideline’s.recommendations.

The 3D recons.ruction pipeline us.s.the Bundle Adjus.ment algorithm to refine the camera and point parameters. The Bundle Adjus.ment algorithm is.a compute-intens.ve algorithm, and many res.archers.have improved its.performance by implementing the algorithm on GPUs. In the previous.res.arch work, “Improving Accuracy and Computational Burden of Bundle Adjus.ment Algorithm us.ng GPUs.” the authors.demons.rated firs. the Bundle Adjus.ment algorithmic performance improvement by reducing the mean s.uare error us.ng an additional radial dis.orting parameter and explicitly computed analytical derivatives.and reducing the computational burden of the Bundle Adjus.ment algorithm us.ng GPUs. The naïve implementation of the CUDA code, a s.eedup of 10× for the larges. datas.t of 13,678 cameras. 4,455,747 points. and 28,975,571 projections.was.achieved. In this.paper, we pres.nt the optimization of the Bundle Adjus.ment algorithm CUDA code on GPUs.to achieve higher s.eedup. We propos. a new data memory layout for the parameters.in the Bundle Adjus.ment algorithm, res.lting in contiguous.memory acces.. We demons.rate that it improves.the memory throughput on the GPUs. thereby improving the overall performance. We als. demons.rate an increas. in the computational throughput of the algorithm by optimizing the CUDA kernels.to utilize the GPU res.urces.effectively. A comparative performance s.udy of explicitly computing an algorithm parameter vers.s.us.ng the Jacobians.ins.ead is.pres.nted. In the previous.work, the Bundle Adjus.ment algorithm failed to converge for certain datas.ts.due to s.veral block matrices.of the cameras.in the augmented normal equation, res.lting in rank-deficient matrices. In this.work, we identify the cameras.that caus. rank-deficient matrices.and preproces. the datas.ts.to ens.re the convergence of the BA algorithm. We report the performances.of a chalcopyrite Cu(In, Ga)s.s.b>2 s.b>CIGs.bas.d thin-film s.lar cell with a newly employed high conductive n-s. layer. The data analys.s.was.performed with the help of the 1D-s.lar Cell Capacitance s.mulator (1D-s.APs. s.ftware program. The new device s.ructure is.bas.d on the CIGs.layer as.the abs.rber layer, n-s. as.the high conductive layer, i-Ins.b>2s.b>s.s.b>3s.b>, and i-ZnO as.the buffer and window layers. res.ectively. The optimum CIGs.bandgap was.determined firs. and us.d to s.mulate and analyze the cell performance throughout the experiment. This.analys.s.revealed that the abs.rber layer’s.optimum bandgap value has.to be 1.4 eV to achieve maximum efficiency of 22.57%. s.bs.quently, output s.lar cell parameters.were analyzed as.a function of CIGs.layer thicknes., defect dens.ty, and the operating temperature with an optimized n-s. layer. The newly modeled device has.a p-CIGs.n-s./Ins.b>2s.b>s.s.b>3s.b>/Al-ZnO s.ructure. The main objective was.to improve the overall cell performance while optimizing the thicknes. of abs.rber layers. defect dens.ty, bandgap, and operating temperature with the newly employed optimized n-s. layer. The increas. of abs.rber layer thicknes. from 0.2 - 2 µm s.owed an upward trend in the cell’s.performance, while the increas. of defect dens.ty and operating temperature s.owed a downward trend in s.lar cell performance. This.s.udy illus.rates.that the propos.d cell s.ructure s.ows.higher cell performances.and can be fabricated on the lab-s.ale and indus.rial levels.

The s.udy addres.es.the integration of the Building Information Modelling (BIM) methodology with Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies.in the context of the development of a multidis.iplinary project, involving architecture, s.ructures. water network and electrical s.s.em components. In order to cover in detail the various.des.gn features. the cas. s.udy was.limited to a s.ecific area of a hous., the s.nitary rooms. as.it pres.nts.s.fficient complexity in modeling and the application of VR and AR s.ftware. The VR/AR functionalities.applied over the BIM model increas. the potential of BIM in the cons.ruction s.ctor, contributing to the achievement of a high level of collaboration and control of the project bas.d on an immers.ve and interactive environment. The elaboration of the different phas.s.of a BIM des.gn requires.the trans.er of models.between BIM and VR/AR s.s.ems. allowing us.to analyze the main advantages.that BIM/VR/AR integration can introduce in the cons.ruction indus.ry. The s.udy contributes.pos.tively to achieving new knowledge in BIM, being dis.eminated in an academic res.arch work and illus.rated in a practical context.

Res.arch s.ows.that producing fermented camel milk is.hard becaus. of the milk’s.inability to form a firm coagulum, attributed to low levels.of κ-cas.in and ꞵ-lactoglobulin and the large cas.in micelle s.ze, leading to a weak network of cas.in formation. In an effort to addres. this.is.ue, res.archers.turned to corn s.arch as.a thickening agent, dis.overing that a concentration of 2.0% effectively improved the vis.os.ty and s.gnificantly reduced s.neres.s.in s.irred camel milk yoghurt and cultured camel milk. This.s.udy explores.alternatives.to corn s.arch, focus.ng on butternut s.uas. s.eds.as.a promis.ng s.bs.itute due to their hydrocolloid compos.tion. By incorporating butternut s.uas. (Cucurbita mos.hata) s.ed powder (Bs.P) as.a thickening agent, this.s.udy aimed at enhancing the chemical and rheological properties.of s.irred camel milk yoghurt and cultured camel milk. Fermented camel milk was.prepared us.ng 4 litres.of camel milk, 2% s.arter cultures.(thermophilic culture for yoghurt and mes.philic aromatic culture for s.irred cultured camel milk) and Bs.P 0.0% (negative control), 0.4%, 0.8%, 1.2%, 1.6%, 2.0% mixed with 0.4% gelatin. 2.0% corn s.arch mixed with 0.4% gelatin was.us.d as.a s.andard for comparis.n. Res.lts.s.owed that increas.ng the Bs.P level s.gnificantly (p s.d the mois.ure content while increas.ng the total s.lid content of s.irred fermented camel milk products. There was.an increas. in as. content with an increas. in Bs.P levels. There was.a s.gnificant (p s. in Bs.P levels.in s.irred fermented camel milk s.mples. Increas.ng the concentration of Bs.P from 0.4% to 2.0% res.lted in a s.gnificant (p s. in vis.os.ty and a reduction in s.neres.s.of s.irred camel milk yoghurt and s.irred cultured camel milk s.mples. Becaus. of bony compliance and mobile s.ture lines. the fetal s.ull changes.s.ape and redis.ributes.cerebros.inal fluid during labor according to cons.raints.impos.d by contractions. and bony and s.ft tis.ue elements.of the birth canal as.the head des.ends. Thes. accommodations. including the increas. in intracranial pres.ure, are adaptive and neces.ary for efficient des.ent of the head while s.feguarding cerebral blood flow. Autonomic reflexes.mediated through central receptors.normally provide ample protection of the brain from the cons.derable pres.ure exerted on the s.ull. On occas.on, thos. forces. which are trans.itted intracranially, may overcome the various.adaptive anatomical, cardiovas.ular, metabolic, and neurological mechanis.s.that maintain cerebral perfus.on and oxygen availability, res.lting in is.hemic brain injury. Accepting the notion of a potentially advers. impact of fetal head compres.ion s.gges.s.that avoidance of exces.ive uterine activity and of relentles. pus.ing without s.eady progres. in des.ent may offer protection for the fetal brain during parturition.
