Based on the curriculum proposed by the Chilean Ministry of Education,schools are offered textbooks and complementary guides for teachers as a tool for the learning process of the *** in mind that the Ministry suggests a list of learning targets that must be accomplished at the end of the academic year,the author of said textbooks offers activities that are meant to fulfil these ***,and considering that one of the goals of the Ministry is that 5th grade students,at the end of their learning process,communicate an intelligible message with a proper pronunciation,a lack of activities and methodologies focused on the improvement of these aspects can be ***,this proposal will present teachers with phonics as a methodology that may help students improve intelligibility and the recognition and production of segmental aspects of pronunciation.

X-ray diffractograms, optic and electronic microscopy were used to study the structural changes on extruded orange pulp using a Brabender® laboratory single-screw extruder (GnF 1014/2, 20:1, L/D). The results showed that most of the cellulose would be in the amorphous state, with small crystalline areas in the angular region of 2θ = 14.5°. The evaluated extrusion conditions did not affect the crystallinity of the raw cellulose, maintaining the size of the crystalline regions in the angular region of 2θ = 22.5°. neutral detergent solubilized the crystalline areas of potassium citrate and cellulose, formed during the extrusion process. However, these conditions did not affect the crystallinity of the raw cellulose. In addition, no change was observed in the crystallinity of pectin. The electron microphotographs allowed for the estimation of the heterogeneity of orange pulp and assessment of the difference of resistance between the walls of the buds and juice vesicles. Thus, it was demonstrated that during the extrusion process most of the porosity and the cellular structure of the endocarp remained unaltered.

Proteus mirabilis, a motile Gram-negative bacterium, represents a common cause of complicated urinary tract infections. Autotransporters are a family of secreted proteins from Gram-negative bacteria that direct their own secretion across the outer membrane (type V autotransporter secretion mechanism). Serine protease autotransporters of Enterobacteriaceae (SPATEs) include adhesins, toxins, and proteases that can contribute to the virulence. Plasmid-encoded toxin (Pet) is the predominant protein in culture supernatants of enteroaggregative E. coli prototype strain 042 and has been extensively studied. Pet toxin is encoded on the 65-MDa adherence-related plasmid of EAEC 042 strain. In this work, Pet protein was found in the supernatant obtained from Proteus mirabilis RTX339 strain isolated from a psychiatric patient suffering complicated urinary tract infections (UTIs). The nucleotide sequence of pet gene was obtained using primers designed from E. coli 042 pet gene reported. The alignment of the sequence showed 100% identity with the pet gene reported. Is important to note that Proteus mirabilis RTX339 pet gene has chromosomal location. The chromosomal location of the gene was established since no plasmids were harbored by this strain.

We present an unusual case of portal vein thrombosis with a splanchnic hemangioma secondary to acute biliary pancreatitis. We report a 45-year-old patient, who has systemic arterial hypertension in treatment, was admitted for abdominal pain in the epigastrium, with irradiation to the right hypochondrium, accompanied by nausea and vomiting of 10 occasions of bile content, physical examination with pain in the right hypochondrium, Murphy positive. We have laboratory studies with a lipase of 788, so a diagnosis of pancreatitis is made with an etiology to be determined. The laboratories suggestive of acute biliary pancreatitis (lipase 788.71);an imaging study was subsequently performed (ultrasonography) with the result of stone in the common bile duct. A laparoscopy was performed with relative improvement, so he was discharged and returned 20 days after surgery due to abdominal pain of the same intensity in the left hypochondrium. Ending his hospitalization with a splenectomy for splenic hemangioma with portal vein thrombosis.
