Around one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some *** patient outcomes necessitate both early detection and an accurate *** images are routinely utilized in the process of diagnosing breast *** proposed in recent research only focus on classifying breast cancer on specific magnification *** study has focused on using a combined dataset with multiple magnification levels to classify breast cancer.A strategy for detecting breast cancer is provided in the context of this *** image texture data is used with the wavelet transform in this *** proposed method comprises converting histopathological images from Red Green Blue(RGB)to Chrominance of Blue and Chrominance of Red(YCBCR),utilizing a wavelet transform to extract texture information,and classifying the images with Extreme Gradient Boosting(XGBOOST).Furthermore,SMOTE has been used for resampling as the dataset has imbalanced *** suggested method is evaluated using 10-fold cross-validation and achieves an accuracy of 99.27%on the BreakHis 1.040X dataset,98.95%on the BreakHis 1.0100X dataset,98.92%on the BreakHis 1.0200X dataset,98.78%on the BreakHis 1.0400X dataset,and 98.80%on the combined *** findings of this study imply that improved breast cancer detection rates and patient outcomes can be achieved by combining wavelet transformation with textural signals to detect breast cancer in histopathology images.

Prevalence of hypertension among individuals aged 50 years and over and its impact on health related quality of life in a semi-rural area of western TUrkey

Background Hypertension is common, especially in individuals aged 40 years and over, and it affects about half of the population aged 60 years and over. This study aimed to determine the frequency and risk factors of hypertension among individuals aged 50 years and over, and to examine its effect on the health related quality of life （HRQOL）. Methods This population-based cross-sectional study was conducted in two settlements in a region of western Turkey between March 1 and April 30, 2007. A questionnaire concerning life habits associated with hypertension, medical histories, and demographic characteristics was filled in by a face to face interview. The SF-36 scale was used to assess HRQOL. Body mass index （BMI） was calculated by measuring the weight and length of the body. Results Of 1599 individuals living in the region, 1193 participated in the survey （48.3% men and 51.7% women）. The overall prevalence rate of hypertension was 59.5% （n=-710）, being 58.0% in men and 60.9% in women （P 〉0.05）. The variables that most positively influenced hypertension （P ≤0.05, for each one） were older age （especially the age group of those aged 60 and over）, single, no health insurance, consumption of animal fat in meals, and family history of hypertension. The HRQOL of the patients with hypertension was lower than that of those without hypertension （P ≤0.05）. The HRQOL was better in hypertensive patients whose blood pressure was under control, whereas it was worse in those with at least one chronic disorder accompanying hypertension （P≤0.05, for each one）. Conclusions Great emphasis should be placed on the need for a public health program for the detection, prevention, and control of hypertension, including other risk factors, as well as for the modification of foods and life habits, specifically in individuals who are most likely to be at risk of hypertension.

Applications based on Wireless Sensor Networks(WSN)have shown to be quite useful in monitoring a particular geographic area of *** geometries of the surrounding environment are essential to establish a successful WSN *** it is literally hard because constructing a localization algorithm that tracks the exact location of Sensor Nodes(SN)in a WSN is always a challenging *** this research paper,Distance Matrix and Markov Chain(DM-MC)model is presented as node localization technique in which Distance Matrix and Estimation Matrix are used to identify the position of the *** method further employs a Markov Chain Model(MCM)for energy optimization and interference *** are performed against two well-known models,and the results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm improves performance by using less network resources when compared to the existing *** probability is used in the Markova chain to sustain higher energy ***,the proposed Distance Matrix and Markov Chain model decrease energy use by 31%and 25%,respectively,compared to the existing DV-Hop and CSA *** experimental results were performed against two proven models,Distance VectorHop Algorithm(DV-HopA)and Crow Search Algorithm(CSA),showing that the proposed DM-MC model outperforms both the existing models regarding localization accuracy and Energy Consumption(EC).These results add to the credibility of the proposed DC-MC model as a better model for employing node localization while establishing a WSN framework.

Polylactide(PLA)/poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate)(PBAT)blend nanocomposites including 3 wt%of cel-lulose nanocrystals(CNCs)were prepared by melt compounding method in a twin-screw extruder and an inter-nal *** nanocomposites were formulated by diluting three different masterbatches prepared by solution casting method that contained 7 wt%of *** masterbatches were:(m1)PLA/PBAT/CNC masterbatch;(m2)PLA/CNC masterbatch;and(m3)PBAT/CNC *** were to explore how different prepara-tion methods affect the dispersion and localization of CNC and hence the properties of PLA/PBAT/CNC blend *** electron microscopy(SEM)was used to study the structural changes of the *** properties of PLA/PBAT blends and PLA/PBAT/CNC blend nanocomposites were also *** the samples prepared by internal mixer,the rheological behavior of blend nanocomposite prepared through premixing of CNC particles with PLA showed a transition from liquid-like to a gel-like *** to the rheological results and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)analysis,it was found that the CNC overall enhanced the viscoelastic properties of blends and improved the PLA crystallization,*** mechanical analysis(DMA)illustrated that the incorporation of CNC also enhanced the elastic modulus of PLA/PBAT blends specifically above the glass transition temperature of *** expected improvements in mechanical properties did not occur due to the possible existence of residual solvent in the blends.

In this paper, we apply laser induce breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) to determine the elemental composition of different parts(root, stem and seed) of the rice plant and determine their weighted concentration using calibration free laser induced breakdown spectroscopy (CF-LIBS) technique. Ca, Fe and K are identified as major elements, while C, Ti, Mg, Si, Li, Ba, Sr, Cr, Na and Al as minor elements. We also detect the H-alpha line of hydrogen in the spectrum and determine the electron number density. The electron number density and its behavior as a function of laser energy, laser wavelength and the detector position are investigated. The plasma temperatures of samples are determined, and the validity of the assumption of the local thermodynamic equilibrium (LTE) is discussed.

Mass attenuation coefficients, effective atomic numbers, effective electron densities and Kerma relative to air for adipose, muscle and bone tissues have been investigated in the photon energy region from 20 keV up to 50 MeV with Geant4 simulation package and theoretical calculations. Based on Geant4 results of the mass attenuation coefficients, the effective atomic numbers for the tissue models have been calculated. The calculation results have been compared with the values of the Auto-Zeff program and with other studies available in the literature. Moreover, Kerma of studied tissues relative to air has been determined and found to be dependent on the absorption edges of the tissue constituent elements.

Objective:The study aimed to determine the faculty of the health sciences students’knowledge and attitudes regarding the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)*** and Methods:This cross-sectional survey was completed with 317 undergraduate students of one health sciences faculty in *** data were collected between March 1,2020,and March 15,2020,by face-to-face interviews using a questionnaire created by the ***,percentage,mean,standard deviation,and Pearson Chi-square test were used to evaluate the ***:In this study,a high proportion of students answered questions about COVID-19 *** 55.8%of the students took partial precautions against COVID-19 to protect themselves against COVID-19 and“frequent washing of hands”was the most common *** determined that the main reasons for not taking any precautions against COVID-19 were“low number of cases in Turkey”and“getting irritated by the mask.”About 98.4%of the participants were entirely/partially following the news on COVID-19,with social media being the most commonly used *** students took more protective measures than male *** 1st-year students had more positive thoughts about vaccination compared to those in the other ***:Although the knowledge of the students about COVID-19 was good in the first wave of the pandemic,more than half of the students stated that they partially complied with the protective measures.
