Parallelized fluorescence imaging has been a long-standing pursuit that can address the unmet need for a comprehensive three-dimensional(3d)visualization of dynamical biological processes with minimal ***,the available approaches are limited to incomplete parallelization in only two dimensions or sparse sampling in three *** hereby develop a novel fluorescence imaging approach,called coded light-sheet array microscopy(CLAm),which allows complete parallelized 3d imaging without mechanical *** the concept of an“infinity mirror”,CLAm generates a light-sheet array with controllable sheet density and degree of ***,CLAm circumvents the common complications of multiple coherent light-sheet generation in terms of dedicated wavefront engineering and mechanical dithering/***,the encoding of multiplexed optical sections in CLAm allows the synchronous capture of all sectioned images within the imaged *** demonstrate the utility of CLAm in different imaging scenarios,including a light-scattering medium,an optically cleared tissue,and microparticles in fluidic *** can maximize the signal-to-noise ratio and the spatial duty cycle,and also provides a further reduction in photobleaching compared to the major scanning-based 3d imaging *** flexible implementation of CLAm regarding both hardware and software ensures compatibility with any light-sheet imaging modality and could thus be instrumental in a multitude of areas in biological research.

It is not uncommon for malicious sellers to collude with fake reviewers(also called spammers)to write fake reviews for multiple products to either demote competitors or promote their products'reputations,forming a gray industry *** detect spammer groups in a heterogeneous network with rich semantic information from both buyers and sellers,researchers have conducted extensive research using Frequent Item mining-based and graph-based ***,these methods cannot detect spammer groups with cross-product attacks and do not jointly consider structural and attribute features,and structure-attribute correlation,resulting in poorer detection ***-fore,we propose a collaborative training-based spammer group detection algorithm by constructing a heterogene-ous induced sub-network based on the target product set to detect cross-product attack spammer *** jointly consider all available features,we use the collaborative training method to learn the feature representations of *** addition,we use the dBSCAN clustering method to generate candidate groups,exclude innocent ones,and rank them to obtain spammer *** experimental results on real-world datasets indicate that the overall detection performance of the proposed method is better than that of the baseline methods.

Loss to Specialized Cardiology Follow-Up in Adults Living with Congenital Heart disease

Background:much has been written about the loss to follow-up in the transition between pediatric and adult Congenital Heart disease(CHd)care *** less is understood about the loss to follow-up(LTF)after a successful *** is critical too,as patients lost to specialised care are more likely to experience mor-bidity and premature ***:To understand the prevalence and reasons for loss to follow-up(LTF)at a large Australian Adult Congenital Heart disease(ACHd)***:Patients with moderate or highly complex CHd and gaps in care of>3 years(deﬁned as LTF)were identiﬁed from a comprehensive ACHd *** telephone interviews examined current care and barriers to clinic ***:Overall,407(22%)of ACHd patients(n=1842)were *** mean age at LTF was 31(Sd 11.5)years and 54%were male;311(76%)were *** to adults seen regularly,lost patients were younger,with a greater socio-economic disadvantage,and had less complex CHd(pd 59 patients(14%).The top 3 responses for care absences were“feeling well”(61%),losing track of time(36%),and not needing fol-low-up care(25%).Conclusions:A large proportion of the ACHd population becomes lost to specialised cardiac care,even after a successful *** Australian study reports younger age,moderate complexity defects,and socio-economic disadvantage as predictive of loss to *** study highlights the need for novel approaches to patient-centered service delivery even beyond the age of transition and resources to maintain patient engagement within the ACHd service.

Preparation and Alkylation of Carbon Nanofibers from Polymethyl methacrylate

Carbon nanofibers have revolutionized nanotechnology due to their potential applications in emerging frontiers of research and industrial sectors. This can be attributed to their superior properties such as higher mechanical strength, unique surface characteristics, and improved adherence that is transmitted into the polymer matrix to form a nanocomposite with improved properties. Polymethyl methacrylate is a common carbon source for the synthesis of carbon nanofibres of its high mechanical strength, thermal stability, and low moisture and water absorbing capacity that allows its products to have several applications. In this work, we report the successful electrospinning of carbon nanofibres from Poly methyl methacrylate and functionalizing the resulting carbon nanofibres. The functionalized carbon nanofibres were analyzed to determine their solubility/dispersion in selected organic solvents, then characterized using Fourier transform infra-red spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy combined with Energy dispersive spectroscopy and Thermalgravimetric analysis.

This Opinion piece is offered as a cursory overview of sperm development,function, and transport through the eyes of an equine veterinarian. my professional background is predominantly clinical in nature, but my fascination with sperm function and preservation has led to a fairly sizeable review of the scientific literature over the years in hopes of extracting laboratory findings that have application to my daily activities in the clinical arena. Spermatozoa are quite unique among cellular types with regard to both form and function, and represent the only endogenously derived cell type that exerts its action in a separate being. This paper takes the reader on a voyage with a mammalian spermatozoon, from its formative stages through its transport in the male and female reproductive tracts, and culminating with its interaction with an ovulated oocyte at the time of fertilization. Specific emphasis is placed on equine spermatozoa when notable research findings have been unveiled.

determinants and rates of land degradation： Application of stationary time-series model to data from a semi-arid environment in Kenya

The causes of land degradation in the African drylands have been shown to vary. Some researchers consider climate to be the major contributor to degradation, with anthropogenic factors playing a minor role. Others reverse the significance of these two factors. A third group attributes land degradation to climate and anthropogenic factors equally. This study was undertaken to establish the factors influencing land degradation in a semi-arid environment in southeastern Kenya and the rate of change in vegetation types for a period of 35 years （1973-2007）. The reduction in grassland cover was used as an indicator of land degradation. Causes of land degradation were determined by a multiple regression analysis. A log-linear regression analysis was used to establish the rate of vegetation change. The multiple and log-linear regression analyses showed：（1） woody vegetation, livestock population and cultivated area to be the main contributors of reduction in grassland cover in the area, and （2） an increase in undesirable woody species, livestock population and cultivated area had a significant （P〈0.05） negative effect on grassland vegetation. Increased human population, low amounts of rainfall and drought showed no significant negative effect on grassland vegetation cover. In conclusion, human and livestock population growth and increased agricultural land have contributed to intensive crop cultivation and overgrazing in the semi-arid lands. This overuse of the semi-arid rangelands has worsened the deterioration of the natural grassland vegetation.

Inter-cluster Voltage Balancing Control of modular multilevel Cascaded Converter Under Unbalanced Grid Voltage

This paper presents a novel inter-cluster direct current(dC)capacitor voltage balancing control scheme for the single-star configured modular multilevel cascaded converter(mmCC)-based static synchronous compensator(STATCOm)under unbalanced grid *** negative-sequence component of grid voltage at the point of common connection(PCC)causes unbalanced active power flow in the phase limbs of *** leads to the imbalance of dC voltages of the sub-module capacitors across the mmCC phases,and consequently,the malfunction of *** proposed solution is to inject both negative-sequence current(NSC)and zero-sequence voltage(ZSV)into the phase limbs of mmCC.A quantification factor Qf is used to achieve the sharing of inter-cluster active pow-er between the NSC and ZSV injection *** determination of the quantification factor has been *** addition to maintaining the dC voltages of sub-module capacitor across the mmCC phases balanced,it also prevents the overcurrent and overvoltage of converter by injecting NSC and ZSV with the right *** control scheme is validated on a 3.54 kV 1.2 mVA power system using mmCC-based STATCOm with 3-level bridge cells as *** results show that the proposed scheme provides superior effectiveness in eliminating the voltage imbalance of dC capacitor in the phase limb while maintaining low voltage and current ratings.
