Proactive semantic Interference (PsI) and failure to recover from PsI (frPsI), are novel constructs assessed by the LAssI-L. These measures are sensitive to cognitive changes in early Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and preclinical AD determined by Aβ load using PET. The goal of this study was to compare a new computerized version of the LAssI-L (LAssI-Brief Computerized) to the standard paper-and-pencil version of the test. In this study, we examined 110 cognitively unimpaired (CU) older adults and 79 with amnestic MCI (aMCI) who were administered the paper-and-pencil form of the LAssI-L. Their performance was compared with 62 CU older adults and 52 aMCI participants examined using the LAssI-BC. After adjustment for covariates (degree of initial learning, sex, education, and language of evaluation) both the standard and computerized versions distinguished between aMCI and CU participants. The performance of CU and aMCI groups using either form was relatively commensurate. Importantly, an optimal combination of Cued B2 recall and Cued B1 intrusions on the LAssI-BC yielded an area under the ROC curve of .927, a sensitivity of 92.3% and specificity of 88.1%, relative to an area under the ROC curve of .815, a sensitivity of 72.5%, and a specificity of 79.1% obtained for the paper-and-pencil LAssI-L. Overall, the LAssI-BC was comparable, and in some ways, superior to the paper-and-pencil LAssI-L. Advantages of the LAssI-BC include a more standardized administration, suitability for remote assessment, and an automated scoring mechanism that can be verified by a built-in audio recording of responses.

Connective tissue diseases (CTDs) are Autoimmune diseases (AIDs) characterized by the appearance of autoantibodies, which are diagnostic markers. Investigations of these autoantibodies play a major role in the management of several autoimmune diseases. The objective of this study was to describe the profile of anti-ENA antibodies according to the clinical symptoms of mixed CTDs in Conakry teaching Hospital. We performed a cross-sectional study during six months. A total of 20 patients was recruited and we measured antibodies using the ELIsA technique. The mean age of our patients was 36.5 years, with a predominance of females. Cutaneous and rheumatological signs were the main clinical manifestations. sLP was the most frequent CTDs;the threshold of ENA antibodies positivity was higher in scleroderma with and sLP. Anti-ENA identification reveals the frequency of anti-ssA (83.33%), anti-U1RNP (66.66%) and anti-histone (50%) antibodies. Antinuclear antibodies (ANA) react with various components of the cell nucleus. Their detection is of major interest in the diagnosis of CTDs. Our results highlight the importance of determining the specificity of these antibodies to guide differential diagnosis.

Background:To describe the diagnostic performance of a deep learning algorithm in discriminating early-stage Fuchs’endothelial corneal dystrophy(FECD)without clinically evident corneal edema from healthy and late-stage FECD eyes using high-definition optical coherence tomography(HD-OCT).Methods:In this observational case-control study,104 eyes(53 FECD eyes and 51 healthy controls)received HDOCT imaging(Envisu R2210,Bioptigen,Buffalo Grove,IL,UsA)using a 6 mm radial scan pattern centered on the corneal *** was clinically categorized into early(without corneal edema)and late-stage(with corneal edema).A total of 18,720 anterior segment optical coherence tomography(As-OCT)images(9180 healthy;5400 early-stage FECD;4140 late-stage FECD)of 104 eyes(81 patients)were used to develop and validate a deep learning classification network to differentiate early-stage FECD eyes from healthy eyes and those with clinical *** 5-fold cross-validation on the dataset containing 11,340 OCT images(63 eyes),the network was trained with 80%of these images(3420 healthy;3060 early-stage FECD;2700 late-stage FECD),then tested with 20%(720 healthy;720 early-stage FECD;720 late-stage FECD).Thereafter,a final model was trained with the entire dataset consisting the 11,340 images and validated with a remaining 7380 images of unseen As-OCT scans of 41 eyes(5040 healthy;1620 early-stage FECD 720 late-stage FECD).Visualization of learned features was done,and area under curve(AUC),specificity,and sensitivity of the prediction outputs for healthy,early and late-stage FECD were ***:The final model achieved an AUC of 0.997±0.005 with 91%sensitivity and 97%specificity in detecting early-FECD;an AUC of 0.974±0.005 with a specificity of 92%and a sensitivity up to 100%in detecting late-stage FECD;and an AUC of 0.998±0.001 with a specificity 98%and a sensitivity of 99%in discriminating healthy corneas from all ***:Deep learning algorithm is an accurate autonomous nove

The characteristics of two different kinds of lignocellulosic materials(vegetable fillers)with two morphologies as Argania nut-shells(ANs)particles and Coir Fibers(CF)were used as reinforcement for phenolic resin(Bakelite)in this work,and the composite are studied as a function of filler types,shape,content(10,20,and 30%***)and manufacturing loading force(1500 and 3000 LBs).Compression molding was used to create the composites,which were then evaluated using scanning electronic microscopy(sEM),Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),bending,dynamic-mechanical-thermal and rheological *** morphology of broken samples demonstrates that both fillers are well dispersed and *** fillers are added to the matrix,the flexural characteristics improve,and the optimal values are attained in the case of Argania *** results showed that the kind and shape of the fillers had a direct influence on the dynamic mechanical characteristics of the composites due to the reinforcement's modulus *** was noticed that,the increment of manufacturing loading force decreased the mechanical and dynamical properties of *** optimum properties obtained indicate that the composites can only be manufactured at low manufacturing loading force(1500 LBs).

surgical resection,chemotherapy,and radiation are the standard therapeutic modalities for treating *** approaches are intended to target the more mature and rapidly dividing cancer ***,they spare the relatively quiescent and intrinsically resistant cancer stem cells(CsCs)subpopulation residing within the tumor ***,a temporary eradication is achieved and the tumor bulk tends to revert supported by CsCs'resistant *** on their unique expression profile,the identification,isolation,and selective targeting of CsCs hold great promise for challenging treatment failure and reducing the risk of cancer ***,targeting CsCs is limited mainly by the irrelevance of the utilized cancer models.A new era of targeted and personalized anti-cancer therapies has been developed with cancer patient-derived organoids(PDOs)as a tool for establishing pre-clinical tumor ***,we discuss the updated and presently available tissue-specific CsC markers in five highly occurring solid ***,we highlight the advantage and relevance of the threedimensional PDOs culture model as a platform for modeling cancer,evaluating the efficacy of CsC-based therapeutics,and predicting drug response in cancer patients.

The occurrence of 28 pharmaceuticals and personal care products(PPCPs)was investigated in 17 surface water samples(rivers,canals,and lagoons),12 groundwater samples(wells and boreholes,which can also be consumed for drinking)and 8 drinking water samples(bottles and sachets)during dry and rainy seasons in Lagos state,*** most prevalent compound detected in all samples was amoxicillin(an antibiotic)at median concentrations of 1614,238 and 358 ng/L in surface water,ground water and drinking water,*** is of concern due to potential impact on development of antibioticresistant microbial *** frequently-detected compounds include acetaminophen,nicotine,ibuprofen,and codeine with detection frequencies of more than 70%.Investigation of seasonal variability revealed that glyburide,caffeine,naproxen and diclofenac concentrations were significantly(Pseason(winter),while Nicotine and Codeine levels were higher during the rainy season(summer).The factors influencing such seasonal variability include:dilution by extensive rainfall,agricultural activity(for nicotine)and usage patterns of pharmaceuticals among the local *** concentrations in drinking water samples were used to assess inadvertent human exposure to PPCPs in Nigerian *** revealed average daily exposures of 81,14 and 3 ngƩPPCPs/kg BW/day via drinking borehole,sachet water and bottled water,*** there exists no health-based limit value(HBLV)for chronic exposure to mixtures of PPCPs,our results raise concern and warrant further investigation of the potential health implications of such unintended PPCPs exposure.

Although many centuries have elapsed since Newton set forth his gravitational law, physics has been unable so far to create an exact theoretical value for the universal gravitational constant (G). Through a simple thought experience (i.e. it may not be possible to perform it), it can be concluded a mathematical formula which links three different physical sciences with each other: mechanics, electromagnetism and thermodynamics in a simple form, it is possible to find an exact value for the gravitational constant using this form. In fact, the importance of this research is that it also tells us more information about the electromagnetic and gravitomagnetic origin of masses, the negative and positive masses (i.e. matter and dark matter), and the smallest possible distance in the universe, which equals 1.0252 × 10sup>-56sup> m.

Congestion is one of the well-studied problems in computer networks,which occurs when the request for network resources exceeds the buffer *** active queue management techniques such as BLUE and RED have been proposed in the literature to control congestions in early *** this paper,we propose two discrete-time queueing network analytical models to drop the arrival packets in preliminary stages when the network becomes *** first model is based on Lambda Decreasing and it drops packets from a probability value to another higher value according to the buffer *** the second proposed model drops packets linearly based on the current queue *** compare the performance of both our models with the original BLUE in order to decide which of these methods offers better quality of *** comparison is done in terms of packet dropping probability,average queue length,throughput ratio,average queueing delay,and packet loss rate.

The theory of general relativity is related to the concept of curvature of space- time induced by the presence of the massive objects. We will see through this paper that the general relativity can be linked with linear Algebra and Vector Analysis without the need for concept of space-time. This is important for the unification of general relativity with quantum mechanics, gravity with electromagnetic, and a better understanding of the universe, gravity, black holes. The most important is the separation between the space-time and the big bang theory, which prove the existence of space-time before that, which leads to the existence of the creator of the universe.
