Boosting Interfacial Polarization Through Heterointerface Engineering in MXene/Graphene Intercalated-Based Microspheres for Electromagnetic wave Absorption

Multi-layer 2D material assemblies provide a great number of interfaces beneficial for electromagnetic wave ***,avoiding agglomeration and achieving layer-by-layer ordered intercalation remain ***,3D reduced graphene oxide(rGO)/MXene/TiO_(2)/Fe_(2)C lightweight porous microspheres with periodical intercalated structures and pronounced inter-facial effects were constructed by spray-freeze-drying and microwave irradiation based on the Maxwell–wagner *** approach reinforced interfacial effects via defects introduction,porous skeleton,multi-layer assembly and multi-compo-nent system,leading to synergistic loss *** abundant 2D/2D/0D/0D intercalated heterojunctions in the microspheres provide a high density of polari-zation charges while generating abundant polarization sites,resulting in boosted interfacial polarization,which is verified by CST Microwave Studio *** precisely tuning the 2D nanosheets intercalation in the heterostructures,both the polarization loss and impedance matching improve *** a low filler loading of 5 wt%,the polarization loss rate exceeds 70%,and a minimum reflection loss(RLmin)of-67.4 dB can be ***,radar cross-section simulations further confirm the attenuation ability of the optimized porous *** results not only provide novel insights into understanding and enhancing interfacial effects,but also constitute an attractive platform for implementing heterointerface engineering based on customized 2D hierarchical architectures.

Novel mycelium-based biocomposites(MBB)were obtained from local agricultural(hemp shives)and forestry(wood chips)by-products which were bounded together with natural growth of fungal *** a result,hemp mycocomposites(HMC)and wood mycocomposites(wMC)were ***,water absorption and biodegradation properties of MBB were *** were characterized also by ash content and elemental *** results of MBB were compared with the reference materials such as the commercial MBB material manufactured by Ecovative®Design(EV),hemp magnesium oxychloride concrete(HC)and cemented wood wool panel(Cw),manufactured by CEwOOD®.The mechanical properties of HMC and wMC showed that the bending strength difference was about 30%,with a better result for *** strength was better for wMC by about 60%compared to that of *** mechanical strength of HMC and HC materials was equal;both materials contained hemp shives but differed by the binding *** absorption and volumetric swelling tests showed that HMC and wMC could be considered as potential *** content and elemental analysis showed that reference materials(Cw,HC)contained significant amounts of inorganic compounds that decreased the biodegradation rate,compared to the case of HMC and wMC *** biodegradation results of HMC and wMC,after 12 weeks,revealed a mass loss(ML)above 70%,while in the case of EV,HC and Cw,it was about 60%,17%and only 6%,*** were completely biodegradable.

Observations and light curve solutions of a selection of middle-contact w UMa binaries

Photometric observations in Sloan g′and i′ bands of w UMa binaries NSVS 4340949,T-Dra0–00959,GSC 03950–00707,NSVS 4665041,NSVS 4803568,MM Peg,MM Com and NSVS4751449 are *** light curve solutions revealed that the components of each target are of G and K spectral *** binaries of the sample have middle-contact configurations whose fillout factors are within the range 0.2–*** only exception is NSVS 4751449 which is in deeper contact（fillout factor of 0.55）.It precisely obeys the relation between mass ratio and fillout factor for deep,low mass ratio overcontact *** of the eclipses of almost all targets（except MM Peg）is an occultation and their photometric mass ratios and solutions could be accepted with *** found that the target components have almost equal temperatures but differ considerably in size and *** components of the partially-eclipsed MM Peg have close *** solutions reveal that NSVS 4340949,T-Dra0–00959,NSVS 4803568 and MM Com are of w subtype while GSC 03950–00707,NSVS 4665041,MM Peg and NSVS 4751449 are of A *** subclassification is well-determined for all totallyeclipsed *** targets confirm the trends in which w-subtype systems have smaller periods and lower temperatures than A subtype binaries.

Punctual mutations in 23S rRNA gene of clarithromycinresistant Helicobacter pylori in Colombian populations

AIM To characterize punctual mutations in 23S rRNA gene of clarithromycin-resistant Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori) and determine their association with therapeutic *** PCR products of 23S rRNA gene V domain of 74 H. pylori isolates; 34 resistant to clarithromycin(29 from a low-risk gastric cancer(GC) population: TumacoColombia, and 5 from a high-risk population: TuquerresColombia) and 40 from a susceptible population(28 from Tumaco and 12 from Túquerres) were sequenced using capillary electrophoresis. The concordance between mutations of V domain 23S rRNA gene of H. pylori and therapeutic failure was determined using the Kappa coefficient and Mc Nemar's test was performed to determine the relationship between H. pylori mutationsand clarithromycin ***23S rRNA gene from H. pylori was amplified in 56/74 isolates, of which 25 were resistant to clarithromycin(20 from Tumaco and 5 from Túquerres, respectively). In 17 resistant isolates(13 from Tumaco and 4 from Túquerres) the following mutations were found: A1593 T1, A1653 G2, C1770 T, C1954 T1, and G1827 C in isolates from Tumaco, and A2144 G from Túquerres. The mutations T2183 C, A2144 G and C2196 T in H. pylori isolates resistant to clarithromycin from Colombia are reported for the first time. No association between the H. pylori mutations and in vitro clarithromycin resistance was found. However, therapeutic failure of eradication treatment was associated with mutations of 23S rRNA gene in clarithromycin-resistant H. pylori(κ = 0.71).CONCLUSION The therapeutic failure of eradication treatment in the two populations from Colombia was associated with mutations of the 23S rRNA gene in clarithromycinresistant H. pylori.

Light curve solutions of six eclipsing binaries at the lower limit of periods for w UMa stars

Photometric observations are presented in V and I bands of six eclipsing binaries at the lower limit of the orbital periods for w UMa stars. Three of them are newly discovered eclipsing systems. The light curve solutions reveal that all shortperiod targets are contact or overcontact binaries and six new binaries are added to the family of short-period systems with estimated parameters. Four binaries have com- ponents that are equal in size and a mass ratio near 1. The phase variability shown by the V-I colors of all targets may be explained by lower temperatures on their back surfaces than those on their side surfaces. Five systems exhibit the O＇Connell effect that can be modeled by cool spots on the side surfaces of their primary components. The light curves of V1067 Her in 2011 and 2012 are fitted by diametrically opposite spots. Applying the criteria for subdivision of w UMa stars to our targets leads to ambiguous results.

Intermittent suckling with or without comingling of non-littermate piglets before weaning improves piglet performance in the immediate post-weaning period when compared with conventional weaning

Background： In this experiment, intermittent suckling（IS） with or without the co-mingling（Co M） of piglets was studied as a method to stimulate solid feed intake and reduce post-weaning ***： Three weaning regimes using 30 multiparous sows were compared：（1） conventional weaning（Cw）（n = 10 litters）, where piglets had continuous access to the sow until weaning（d 0, farrowing = d-25 relative to weaning）;（2） intermittent suckling（IS）（n = 10 litters）, where piglets were separated from the sow for 8 h/d starting at d-7（relative to weaning）; and（3） intermittent suckling with co-mingling（ISCo）（n = 10 litters） where IS started at d-7 and two litters were housed together during separation and then returned to their original sow. Ad libitum creep feed was available from d-17. At weaning pigs were housed in pens of 11 pigs, 27 pens in total. The ISCo treatment was divided in half to examine effects of different mixing strategies after weaning. Half of the ISCo litters were kept in familiar groups（ISCo F, familiar, n = 4） and the other half were mixed within treatment resulting in groups of unfamiliar pigs（ISCo NF, not familiar, n = 5）, the same as IS（n = 9） and Cw（n = 9） ***： The ISCo piglets ate more creep feed in the week before weaning（P 〈 0.01）, but also showed more aggressive and manipulative behaviour on first day of Co M compared with Cw piglets（P 〈 0.05）. IS with or without Co M increased exploratory and play behaviour on the first day of treatment intervention（P 〈 0.001） and increased sleeping behaviour on the last day of treatment intervention compared with Cw（P 〈 0.001）. Mixing strategy at weaning had an effect on performance data with the highest growth and feed intake seen in ISCo F pigs 2 to 8 d after weaning（P 〈0.001）. IS and ISCo NF pigs also grew faster and ate more than Cw pigs 2 to 8 d after weaning（P 〈 0.001）. Activated fibroblasts are major mediators of pulmonary *** are generally found in the connective tissue but upon activation can generate excess extracellular matrix(ECM)in the lung interstitial ***,fibroblasts are one of the most targeted cells for treating idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis(IPF).Here,we develop an anti-fibrotic platform that can modulate both the lysophosphatidic acid receptor 1(LPA_(1))and the inflammatory pathway through tumor necrosis factorα-induced protein 3(TNFAIP3,also known as A20)in ***,we synthesized a series of LPA_(1) antagonists,AM095 and AM966,derived amino lipids(LA lipids)which were formulated into LA-lipid nanoparticles(LA-LNPs)encapsulating ***,LA5-LNPs,with AM966 head group and biodegradable acetal lipid tails,showed efficient A20 mRNA delivery to lung fibroblasts in vitro(80.2%±1.5%)and ex vivo(17.2%±0.4%).when treated to primary mouse lung fibroblasts(MLF),this formulation inhibited fibroblast migration and collagen production,thereby slowing the progression of ***,LA5-LNPs encapsulated with A20 mRNA is a novel platform offering a potential approach to regulate fibroblast activation for the treatment of IPF.

Rare earth oxides in zirconium dioxide:How to turn a wide band gap metal oxide into a visible light active photocatalyst

In the present study, we investigated the effect of cerium and erbium doping of the zirconium dioxide matrix. we synthesized doped samples using hydrothermal process. The amounts of dopant used were 0.5%, 1% and 5% molar(rare earth oxide over zirconium dioxide) respectively. The samples have been studied via X-ray Diffraction measurements for the structural characterization. UV visible diffuse reflectance was used for the optical analysis, Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET) model for the measurement of the surface area. Finally the samples have been analysed via electron paramagnetic resonance(EPR) for the electronic characterization. Then we tested the new synthetized materials to determine their photocatalytic activity in the reaction of degradation of methylene blue performed under irradiation by diodes(LEDs) emitting exclusively visible light.
