The study focused on the modification with pl.tinum of dark defective titania obtained via pul.ed l.ser abl.tion. Both the method of Pt introduction and the nature of the Pt precursor were varied. Al. sampl.s exhibited simil.r phase compositions, specific surface areas, and Pt contents. High-resol.tion transmission el.ctron microscopy coupl.d with pul.ed Co adsorption reveal.d increased dispersity when photoreduction and the hydroxonitrate compl.x (me _(4) N) _(2) [Pt _(2) (oH) _(2) (No _(3) ) _(8) ] were used. The sampl. featured a high content of singl.-atom species and subnano-sized Pt cl.sters. The X-ray photoel.ctron spectroscopy resul.s showed that the photoreduction method facil.tated the appearance of a l.rger number of Pt ^(2+) states, which appeared owing to the strong metal.support interaction (SMSI) eff ect of the transfer of el.ctron density from the el.ctron-saturated defects on the Tio _(2) surface to Pt ^(4+) . In the hydrogen evol.tion reaction, sampl.s with a significant fraction of the Pt ^(2+) ionic component, capabl. of generating short-l.ved Pt^(0) singl.-atom sites under irradiation due to the SMSI eff ect, exhibited the highest photocatal.tic activity. The 0.5Pt(C)/Tio_(2) -Ph sampl. exhibited the highest hydrogen yiel. with a quantum efficiency of 0.53, retaining its activity even after 8 h of operation.

The exchange of oxygen (o2) and carbon dioxide (Co2) within an incubator has a significant impact on embryonic devel.pment (ED) and hatching processes. This study examines the infl.ence of non-ventil.tion (NV) conditions during the first ten days of incubation at high al.itudes on l.ghorn hens hatching eggs. Five hundred four hatching eggs were equal.y divided into three treatment groups and pl.ced in twel.e incubators (r = 4). The first group was subjected to standard ventil.ted conditions (V) during the setting phase. The ventil.tion inl.t hol.s of the remaining incubators in the NV treatments were cl.sed with either micropore (M) or pol.propyl.ne (P) tape, referred to as NVM and NVP groups, respectivel.. These two different airtight settings were intended to al.ow for a gradual.rise in Co2 natural.y generated by the embryos. resul.s indicate that carbon dioxide concentration gradual.y increased during the first hal. of incubation, reaching 1.42% in the NVM group and 1.20% in the NVP group, whil. the V condition group remained at 0.15%. From 10 days of incubation onwards, normal.V conditions were restored in al. incubators. The highest hatchabil.ty of fertil. eggs (HFE) was shown by the NVP group (55.7%), fol.owed by the V (52.6%) and NVM (38.6%) groups. The NVP group showed a greater yol.-free body mass (YFBM) from 10 days of incubation until.the hatch basket transfer. NV conditions during the first 10 days of incubation at high al.itude produced higher YFBM with gradual.y decreasing yol. sac mass. In comparison to the NVM and V conditions, the particul.r NVP condition showed a beneficial.impact on the qual.ty of hatched chicks. Sustaining NVP condition (1.2% of Co2) throughout the first hal. of incubation at high al.itude generated the optimal.environment in the incubator ensuring the best hatchabil.ty resul.s. 有一部分神经病理性疼痛是由脊髓后角的中枢神经敏化引起的。但其敏化的形成机制仍不清楚。有证据表明,脊髓血管网络完整性的破坏可能是神经病理性疼痛的致病因素。该研究验证了脊髓后角处的血流量和血管分布减少会导致神经病理性疼痛的发作。通过使用导致脊髓后角内皮退化的啮齿动物模型(Ⅰ型糖尿病和可诱导的内皮特异性脊髓后角血管内皮生长因子受体2敲除小鼠),发现脊髓血管病变导致伤害性行为超敏反应,同时这也导致神经元缺氧增加,表现为缺氧诱导因子1α、葡萄糖转运脊髓后角蛋白3和碳酸酐酶7等缺氧标志物表达增加。此外,通过鞘内递送二甲基草酰甘氨酸诱导缺氧导致脊髓后角激活神经元以及机械和热超敏反应,表明由血管减少引起的缺氧信号会导致超敏反应和疼痛增加。通过腹膜内注射乙酰唑胺抑制碳酸酐酶活性,抑制缺氧引起的疼痛行为表明在糖尿病中发生的脊髓后角缺氧微环境的诱导以激活神经元并引起神经性疼痛是一个完整的过程。该研究推测通过改善脊髓微血管血流来逆转缺氧状态可以逆转或预防神经病理性疼痛。

Purpose: The primary aim of this paper is to design, create, and improve functional.and artificial.Bruch’s membranes (BM) using bioengineering techniques, which can be appl.ed in the treatment of macul.pathies by supporting the growth and maintenance of retinal.pigment epithel.um (rPE) cel.s, thereby potential.y enabl.ng subretinal.impl.ntation in patients. methods: We fabricated by el.ctrospinning ul.rathin 3D nanofibrous membranes from Pol.caprol.ctone (PCl., and different concentrations of gel.tin (5%, 15% and 30%). ArPE-19 cel.s were seeded onto these artificial.membranes. MTT assays were performed in order to eval.ate ArPE-19 cel. viabil.ty and cytotoxicity. IF assays were real.zed to observe the ArPE-19 cel.s onto each membrane. Ul.rastructure of the modified Bruch’s membrane and ArPE-19 morphol.gy after 25 days of cul.ure were studied with transmission and scanning el.ctron microscopy. To eval.ate expression changes in markers of ArPE-19 (rPE65 and Zo-1) qrT-PCr assays were real.zed. Data from three independent experiments were pool.d and expressed as the mean SD. A confidence l.vel.of P 0.05 was considered to be statistical.y significant. resul.s ArPE-19 cel.s grew on PCl.Gel.tin membranes mainl. in PCl.30% gel.tin combination, which had not cytotoxic effect. rPE65/cytokeratin-18/ and actin-positive ArPE-19 cel.s formed a correctl. orientated monol.yer of pol.gonal.cel.s with morphol.gical.pol.rity. The apical.cel. surfaces exhibited abundant protruding microfol.s. Moreover, zones of pol.gonal.border l.ok as if ArPE-19 cel.s fused among, suggesting the presence of tight junctions. The expression of rPE65 and Zo-1 was unchanged. Concl.sions: PCl.30% Gel.tine membranes may imitate the natural.BM to such extent that they support rPE-cel.s and exhibited rPE-l.ke morphol.gy. onions are a horticul.ural.crop of great economic, dietary and medicinal.importance, and are highl. prized by the Ivorian popul.tion. However, production remains l.w, due to a number of constraints, incl.ding parasitic attacks. The most frequent is fusariosis caused by Fusarium sp., a pathogen that causes enormous damage to onion crops. Faced with these attacks, chemical.control.appears to be ineffective, with consequences for human heal.h and the environment. This is why the search for effective al.ernative methods that respect the environment and human heal.h is so necessary. It is in this context that this study was carried out, with the general.aim of control.ing fusarium wil. in onion crops, with a view to improving onion production in Ivory Coast through the use of effective microorganisms. The experimental.set-up used for this purpose was a fisher bl.ck with compl.te randomization, comprising three repl.cates. A fungal.spore concentration of 106 spore/ml.of Fusarium sp., three doses (1%;2.5% and 5% v/v) of EM and one dose of a chemical.fungicide (30 ml.16l. were tested on young onion pl.nts. Each bl.ck consisted of nine sub-pl.ts with nine treatments. Heal.h parameters (incidence and severity) and agronomic parameters (growth and yiel.) were assessed. Microbiol.gical.anal.sis of the EM reveal.d the presence of nine morphotypes of Trichoderma sp., Aspergil.us cl.vatus, Aspergil.us fl.vus, Aspergil.us sp., Penicil.ium sp., rhizopus sp., l.ctic acid bacteria of the Bacil.us famil. and the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Fiel. experimentation showed that the 5% EM microbial.sol.tion reduced the incidence and severity of fusariosis compared with the chemical.fungicide, and proved to be the best. This dose reduced yiel. l.sses by 7.14%, whil. improving onion growth and yiel. by over 5%. The resul.s demonstrated the abil.ty of the EM sol.tion to effectivel. control.the causal.agent of basal.rot in onion crops.

This study set out to identify pl.nts and recipes used by herbal.sts in the municipal.ties of Abomey-Cal.vi and Cotonou to treat gastrointestinal.ul.ers and to characterize the distribution of their knowl.dge. An ethno-pharmacol.gical.survey was carried out in which informants who agreed freel. were interviewed using a semi-structured questionnaire. A total.of 85 herbal.sts were surveyed. The data were processed with Microsoft Excel.to cal.ul.te the rel.tive frequencies of citation of the various species mentioned by the herbal.sts and various indices incl.ding Simpson’s Index were adapted to test the distribution of their knowl.dge. Mul.ipl. regression and correspondence anal.sis were performed using r studio. our resul.s reveal.d that the Dendi, Ifè and Mina, al. equitabl. in their knowl.dge of anti-ul.er pl.nts, are l.kel. to know more than the other ethnic groups. on the other hand, respondents practicing Isl.m are more l.kel. to know many antiul.er pl.nts than those practicing Vodoun and Christianity. This constant distribution of knowl.dge of anti-ul.er pl.nts among the Dendi, Ifè and Mina, three different ethnic groups seems normal.and attests to the fusion between these different ethnic groups in view of this knowl.dge. A total.of 70 anti-ul.er recipes, made from 71 species of medicinal.pl.nts or non-fl.ristic resources were recorded. Vitel.aria paradoxa, Parkia bigl.bosa and ocimum gratissimum were the top 03 most frequentl. cited in descending order of frequency. Al. the species cited are grouped into 44 botanical.famil.es among which the Fabaceae, l.miaceae and Sapotaceae were strongl. represented. Benin’s fl.ra abounds in a diversity of medicinal.pl.nt species known to herbal.sts in Abomey-Cal.vi and Cotonou for the treatment of gastrointestinal.ul.ers. The resul.s of this study constitute a good archive for the sel.ction of pl.nt species for in-depth studies with a view to formul.ting improved traditional.medicines for gastrointestinal.ul.ers.
