Hydrogels have been extensively used in the field of biomedical applications,offering customizable natural,synthetic or hybrid materials,particularly relevant in the field of tissue *** the bioelectronics discipline,hydrogels are promising mainly as sensing platforms with or without encapsulated cells,showing great potential in healthcare and ***,to date there is little data in the literature which characterizes the electrical properties of tissue engineering materials which are relevant to *** this work,we present electrical characterization of alginate hydrogels,a natural polysaccharide,using a four-probe method similar to electrical impedance *** acquired conductance data show distinct frequency-dependent features that change as a function of alginate and crosslinker concentration reflecting ion kinetics inside the measured ***,the presence of NIH 3T3 fibroblasts encapsulated in the hydrogels matrix was found to alter the artificial tissue’s electrical *** method used provides valuable insight to the frequency-dependent electrical response of the resulting *** is hoped that the outcome of this research will be of use in the development of cell/electronic interfaces,possibly toward diagnostic biosensors and therapeutic bioelectronics.

The multi-impurity system in CdSe nanoplatelets:electronic structure and thermodynamic properties

This paper theoretically studies the impurity states and the effects of impurity concentration and configuration on the optical,electrical,and statistical properties of CdSe nanoplatelets(NPLs).An image charge-based model of electron-impurity interaction is *** charge-carrier energy spectra and corresponding wave functions depending on the impurity number and configuration are *** electron binding energies are calculated for different NPL *** is shown that the image charge-based interaction potential that arises due to the dielectric constants mismatch is much stronger than the interaction potential that does not take such a mismatch into ***,it is demonstrated that the binding energies are increasing with the number of *** calculate the canonical partition function using the energy levels of the electron,which in turn is used to obtain the mean energy,heat capacity,and entropy of the non-interacting electron *** thermodynamic properties of the non-interacting electron gas that depend on the geometric parameters of the NPL,impurity number,configuration,and temperature are studied.

Quasi-Conical Quantum Dot: Electron States and Quantum Transitions

The exactly solvable model of quasi-conical quantum dot, having a form of spherical sector, is proposed. Due to the specific symmetry of the problem the separation of variables in spherical coordinates is possible in the one- electron Sehrodinger equation. Analytical expressions for wave function and energy spectrum are obtained. It is shown that at small values of the stretch angle of spherical sector the problem is reduced to the conical QD problem. The comparison with previously performed works shows good agreement of results. As an application of the obtained results, the quantum transitions in the system are considered.

Despite the initial skepticism and challenges,minimally invasive liver surgery especially laparoscopic liver resections(LLR),has become a first-choice surgical treatment for various liver tumors in many specialized centers worldwide(1-3).It is a safe alternative to open surgery thanks to advantages such as reduced blood loss and complication rates,shorter hospital stay,and better quality of life(4-7).However,laparoscopy requires relatively long learning,and complex procedures are limited to high-volume expert centers(8).

The Physics of the Phenomena of Electrical Induced Elements Separation in Solution of Salts in Liquid Polar Dielectric

In the work [1] is shown the possibility of the use the phenomena of the electrical-induced selective drift of cationic aquacomplexes in the water solution of the salts for creating of the new, non-electrode, power-saving technology of the solution enrichment by desired element. The development of the naturally-scientific basis of this technology has showed that inertial properties of formed in the solution over-molecular structural units—clusters depends from that’s dimensions. Dimensions of these clusters are in limits from scores of angstrom to fractions of micron, at the same time liquid mediums are the base of functioning both biological and technological systems. Thus, water solution of salt contains nanoparticles and biological and many technological systems are functioning with the assistance of nanoparticles. For example, the ordinary blood circulatory system or many of chemical processing. The casual or intentional action of aperiodic electric field on systems containing salts solutions produces some positive or negative effects. This work shows new approach for theoretical describing of salts solution in dielectric liquids and contains some data on the realized experiments.

The church in the Inner Castle of the Armenian capital Ani, which until now has not been studied properly, is one of the key monuments of the Armenian architectural tradition revival that began at the turn of the 12 th-13 th centuries. The purpose of this article is to reveal the features of its plan and plastic decor, as well as the preliminary determination of the place of this building in the development of architecture and ornamental art of medieval Armenia. The article determines the origins of the architectural type of cruciform churches with rooms in the four corners, which formed the basis of the composition of the church and the circle of buildings of the 12 th-13 th centuries, in which the variability of embodiments of this type is apparent. In the analysis of the facades plastic, particular attention is paid to the blind-arcade on paired columns on the Western and Southern facades of the church as well as the design of the windows. It is noticed that the master builder of Aghjkaberd Church models the shapes of patterns with a certain degree of liveliness. He creates some plant motifs free from flat surfaces and models carvings in some places in a manner of the sculpture. In subsequent studies of this monument, the authors will clarify some forms of the composition, perform a more detailed reconstruction of the facade decor and identify the genesis of the unusual style of ornamental carving.
