Bioactive thermal spray coatings produced via high-velocity oxygen fuel spray(HVOF)from hydroxyapatite(HAp)and bioactive glasses(BG)have the potential to be employed on temporary implants due to the ability of both HAp and BG to dissolve and promote osseointegration,considering that both phases have different reaction and dissolution rates under in-vitro *** the present work,75%***-25%wt.S53P4 bioactive glass powders were HVOF-sprayed to obtain HAp/S53P4 BG composite coatings on a bioresorbable AZ31 *** study is focused on exploring the effect of the stand-off distance and fuel/oxygen ratio variation as HVOF parameters to obtain stable structural coatings and to establish their effect on the phases and microstructure produced in those *** characterization techniques,such as scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction,and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,were employed to characterize relevant structural and microstructural properties of the composite *** results showed that thermal gradients during coating deposition must be managed to avoid delamination due to the high temperature achieved(max 550℃)and the differences in coefficients of thermal *** was also found that both spraying distance and oxygen/fuel ratio allowed to keep the hydroxyapatite as the main phase in the *** addition,in-vitro electrochemical studies were performed on the obtained HAp/S53P4 BG composite coatings and compared against the uncoated AZ31 *** results showed a significant decrease in hydrogen evolution(at least 98%)when the bioactive coating was applied on the Mg alloy during evaluation in simulated body fluid(SBF).

The influence of various grease compositions and silver nanoparticle additives on electrically induced rolling-element bearing damage

Leakage currents accelerate surface degradation of metal contacts via small scale arcing across lubricating films,but recent observations suggest that metallic nanoparticle additives in lubricants may be useful to improve contact *** findings prompted a study that examined electrically induced surface pitting of steel contacts in the presence of several lubricating greases including some containing nanometer-sized colloidal silver(Ag)*** rolling sphere-on-disk experiments were conducted under electro-tribological loads employing polyurea greases derived from mineral and synthetic base oils with and without *** forces and electrical resistance were monitored continuously during the tests;surface changes were characterized by means of optical spectroscopy,stylus profilometry,and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)including compositional analysis using energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS).The observations demonstrate that surface pitting induced by arcing occurs mainly at the points were the rolling motion changes direction and that eroded metal is deposited along the wear ***-sized pits are formed which contain carbon and oxygen indicating that arcing causes decomposition of the hydrocarbon *** findings indicate a significant inhibition of pitting is induced by the Ag nanoparticles;some greases containing other additives exhibit a similar,although less pronounced,effect.

Leaf habit differentiation explains trait tradeoffs across savanna woody plants

Identifying how leaf habit subdivisions link to the fast–slow and avoidance–tolerance trait tradeoffs can provide new insight into divergence in ecophysiological strategies among plant functional groups. Here, we tested a hypothesis that the differentiation across deciduous, semi-deciduous and evergreen woody species contributes to physiological trait tradeoffs in a dry-hot valley savanna. We investigated 11 photosynthetic, morphological and hydraulic traits of 24 species including 8 deciduous, 10 semi-deciduous and 6 evergreen species. Deciduous species were grouped in the fast and avoidance side associated with high values of maximum photosynthetic rates,stomatal conductance and leaf size, while evergreen species were grouped in the slow and tolerance side associated with high photosynthetic water use efficiency, leaf mass per area, sapwood density, Huber value, leaf water potential at turgor loss point and water potential causing 50% loss of stem hydraulic conductance. Semideciduous species generally had intermediate trait values and represented different physiological characteristics when compared to deciduous and evergreen species. The physiological trait tradeoffs showed a close linkage to the differentiation of these three leaf habits. Our findings clearly reveal trait tradeoffs related to fast–slow and avoidance–tolerance strategies among diverse savanna plants, suggesting a syndrome in multiple ecophysiology strategies across different leaf habits.

Chimeric antigen receptor(CAR)T-cell therapy has demonstrated clinical response in treating both hematologic malignancies and solid *** instances of rapid tumor remissions have been observed in animal models and clinical trials,tumor relapses occur with multiple therapeutic resistance ***,while the mechanisms underlying the long-term therapeutic resistance are well-known,short-term adaptation remains less ***,more views shed light on short-term adaptation and hold that it provides an opportunity window for long-term *** this study,we explore a previously unreported mechanism in which tumor cells employ trogocytosis to acquire CAR molecules from CAR-T cells,a reversal of previously documented *** mechanism results in the depletion of CAR molecules and subsequent CAR-T cell dysfunction,also leading to short-term antigen loss and antigen *** type of intercellular communication is independent of CAR downstream signaling,CAR-T cell condition,target antigen,and tumor cell ***,it is mainly dependent on antigen density and CAR sensitivity,and is associated with tumor cell cholesterol *** mitigation of this trogocytosis-induced CAR molecule transfer can be achieved by adaptively administering CAR-T cells with antigen density-individualized CAR ***,our study reveals a dynamic process of CAR molecule transfer and refining the framework of clinical CAR-T therapy for solid tumors.

An Optimization Method for Seismic Reliability of Regional Road Networks

To enhance the efficacy of seismic reliability assessments within regional road networks， this study introduces the constructs of Forbidden Edge Sets and Iterable Edge Sets within the framework of the Quick Fixed-node Unconnected Subgraph Algorithm (QFUS). Through optimization of the subgraph iteration process， the Quick Subgraph Algorithm (QSA) has been developed， exhibiting a diminished temporal complexity. Examining the topological architecture of road network systems， this research proposes the notion of road unit criticality. The corresponding equations have been formulated and empirically validated. Addressing the seismic optimization challenge of road networks， an optimization model has been constructed， and the Additive Edge Method has been introduced， aiming to minimize the requisite investment for enhancements. The algorithms QSA and the Additive Edge Method were applied to the road network in the vicinity of Zhangjiakou for empirical analysis. The results indicate that the QSA algorithm enhances the computational efficiency of network reliability by 33.04% in comparison to the QFUS algorithm. The metric of road unit criticality effectively quantifies the influence of various road unit reinforcement strategies on the seismic reliability enhancement of road network systems. The Additive Edge Method proposed herein is shown to minimize the analytical scope required for road units within the network and achieves cost minimization for seismic optimization of the road network. The scientific validity and logical soundness of the Additive Edge Method have been corroborated through the application of the control variable technique.

目的探究2种硫代磷酸酯型商品化极压抗磨剂三苯基硫代磷酸酯衍生物(AW-1)和酸性硫代磷酸酯(AW-2)对自动传动液抗颤性能的影响。方法参考JASOM349,采用能够高度模拟汽车离合器片工况的德国盘–盘型摩擦试验机(WAZAU)对含有上述2种硫代磷酸酯型极压抗磨剂的自动传动液的抗颤性进行对比测试,并采用扫描电子显微镜(SEM)和X射线能谱仪(EDS)对摩擦表面的形貌和元素进行深入分析。结果虽然AW-1、AW-2是润滑油中常用的硫代磷酸酯型极压抗磨剂,但二者的分子结构存在差异,在摩擦副表面形成摩擦反应膜的形式也不尽相同。各含量AW-1形成的反应膜中均含有硫、磷、钙等元素,且随着油品中AW-1含量的增加,各元素的含量会发生不同程度的变化。低含量AW-2形成的反应膜中含有硫、磷、钙等元素,但高含量AW-2形成的反应膜基本不含硫、磷、钙元素。结论通过扫描电子显微镜和EDS能谱对摩擦后的钢盘进行了分析,结果显示,AW-1和AW-2硫代磷酸酯型极压抗磨剂在摩擦副表面形成摩擦反应膜的机理不同。AW-1分子中的硫元素在摩擦副表面生成了S-Fe膜,磷元素与清净剂中的钙元素生成了抗颤性优良的Ca-P膜,因此含有AW-1的ATF的抗颤性优异。AW-2中的羧基与钢盘表面的铁元素发生反应,生成了硫代磷酸酯铁盐,并沉积在金属表面,这在一定程度上抑制了S-Fe反应膜和Ca-P反应膜的生成,因此相应油品的抗颤性能不佳。

PonD is a method to extend LBM calculations to arbitrary ranges of Mach number and *** current work was motivated by the issue of mass,momentum and energy conservation in the PonD method for *** collision guarantees their conservation,thus,the study involves all aspects of the streaming step:both coordinate and velocity space discretizations,gauge transfer method,resolution of the scheme *** obtaining the expressions for the change of moments in the system in a time update of the scheme,it was found that the scheme can be formulated as explicit in some ***,we found the sufficient conditions to make Pond/RegPonD computations explicit and mass,momentum,and energy *** scheme was implemented in the explicit form,and validated for several test cases.

Two recent studies published in Nature focused on the clinical efficacy of the menin inhibitor revumenib(SNDX-5613)in KMT2A(histone-lysine N-methyltransferase 2A)-rearranged or NPM1(Nucleophosmin1)-mutant acute myeloid leukemia.1,2 These studies indicate that menin inhibition and its acquired resistance to long-term exposure to revuminib are key points for future treatment,emphasizing the role of menin as a challenging and promising target for the current treatment of leukemia.

Notes on the family Brassicaceae in China

A critical revision of the collections of Brassicaceae in some Chinese (PE, XJA, XJBI, XJFA, XJNM, XJU) and foreign (LE, P) herbaria is made. One genus, Neurotropis (DC.) F. K. Mey., and 11 species, Alyssum szarabiacum Nyár., Barbarea stricta Andrz., Erysimum czernjajevii N. Busch, Erysimum kotuchovii D. german, Erysimum mongolicum D. german, Lepidium karelinianum Al-Shehbaz, Matthiola superba Conti, Neurotropis platycarpa (Fisch. & Mey.) F. K. Mey., Ptilotrichum dahuricum Peschkova, Sisymbrium subspinescens Bunge, and Smelowskia micrantha (Botsch. & Vved.) Al-Shehbaz & S. I. Warwick, are reported from China for the first time. Six species, Aphragmus involucratus (Bunge) O. E. Schulz, Dontostemon perennis C. A. Mey., goldbachia torulosa DC., Lepidium amplexicaule Willd., Neotorularia brevipes (Kar. & Kir.) Hedge & J. Léonard, and Parrya stenocarpa Kar. & Kir., are confirmed to occurr in China. Five species, Dontostemon integrifolius (L.) C. A. Mey., Draba zangbeiensis L. L. Lou, Lepidium alashanicum H. L. Yang, Sinapis arvensis L., and Strigosella brevipes (Bunge) Botsch., are reported as novelties for some provinces in China, and Strigosella hispida (Litv.) Botsch. occurs in Xinjiang, China. However, the occurrence of one genus, Pseudoarabidopsis Al-Shehbaz, O’Kane & Price, and four species, Draba huetii Boiss., Eutrema halophilum (C. A. Mey.) Al-Shehbaz & S. I. Warwick, Galitzkya spathulata (Steph. ex Willd.) V. Bocz., and Pseudoarabidopsis toxophylla (Bieb.) Al-Shehbaz, O’Kane & Price, could not be confirmed in China. The occurrence of six species, Aphragmus bouffordii Al-Shehbaz, Barbarea orthoceras Ledeb., Lepidium latifolium L., Ptilotrichum canescens (DC.) C. A. Mey., Strigosella hispida (Litv.) Botsch., and Strigosella scorpioides (Bunge) Botsch., is not confirmed in certain provinces of China. Confinement effects in methanol to olefins catalysed by zeolites： A computational review

Small pore zeolites, containing 8-rings as the largest, are widely employed as catalysts in the process of methanol-to-olefins （MTO）. Reactants and products dif- fuse with constraints through 8-rings and this is one of the reaction bottlenecks related to zeolite micropore topology. Small pore zeolites and silicon-aluminophosphates （SAPOs） containing cavities, where olefins are mainly formed through the hydrocarbon pool （HP） mechanism, are frequently tested for MTO. Shape selectivity of transition states within the side-chain methylation will be reviewed as this is one of the controlling steps of the MTO process, with particular attention to the role of hexam- ethylbenzene （HMB） and heptamethylbenzenium cation （HeptaMB~）, which are the most tipically detected reaction intermediates, common to the paring and side-chain routes within the HP mechanism. The relative stability of these and other species will be reviewed in terms of confinement effects in different cage-based zeolites. The role of the different alkylating agents, methanol, dimethyl ether （DME）, and surface methoxy species （SMS） will also be reviewed from the computational viewpoint.
