Rock avalanches are generally difficult to prevent and control due to their high velocities and the extensive destruction they ***,barrier structures constructed along the path of a rock avalanche can partially mitigate the magnitudes and consequences of such catastrophic *** selected a rock avalanche in Nayong County,Guizhou Province,China as a case to study the effect of the location and height of a retaining wall on the dynamic characteristics of rock avalanche by using both actual terrain-based laboratory-model tests and coupled PFC3D-FLAC3D numerical *** findings demonstrate that a retaining wall can largely block a rock avalanche and its protective efficacy is significantly influenced by the integrity of the retaining *** numerical simulation can serve as a powerful tool for analyzing the interaction between a rock avalanche and a retaining wall,facilitating precise observations of its deformation and *** impact-curve characteristics of the retaining wall depend upon whether or not the rock avalanche-induced destruction is taken into *** location of the retaining wall exerts a greater influence on the outcome compared to the height and materials of the retaining wall,while implementing a stepped retaining-wall pattern in accordance with the terrain demonstrates optimal efficacy in controlling rock avalanche.

Although the discovery of insulin 100 years ago revolutionized the treatment of diabetes,its therapeutic potential is compromised by its short half-life and narrow therapeutic *** long-acting insulin analogs,such as insulin-polymer conjugates,are mainly used to improve pharmacokinetics by reducing renal ***,these conjugates are synthesized without sacrificing the bioactivity of insulin,thus retaining the narrow therapeutic index of native insulin,and exceeding the efficacious dose still leads to ***,we report a kind of di-PEGylated insulin that can simultaneously reduce renal clearance and receptor-mediated *** impairing the binding affinity to the receptor and the activation of the receptor,di-PEGylated insulin not only further prolongs the half-life of insulin compared to classical mono-PEGylated insulin but most importantly,increases its maximum tolerated dose *** target of long-term glycemic management in vivo has been achieved through improved pharmacokinetics and a high *** work represents an essential step towards long-acting insulin medication with superior safety in reducing hypoglycemic events.

Investigation of stress distribution and damage behavior caused by forced installation of a composite bolted joint with a hole-location error

Process and performance of DAAF microspheres prepared by continuous integration from synthesis to spherical coating based on microfluidic system

In order to improve the energy output consistency of 3, 3’-diamino-4, 4’-azoxyfurazan(DAAF) in the new insensitive booster and the safety and efficiency in the preparation process, a continuous preparation system of DAAF from synthesis to spherical coating was designed and established in this paper, which combined ultrasonic micromixing reaction with microdroplet globular template. In the rapid micromixing stage, the microfluidic mixing technology with ultrasonic was used to synergistically strengthen the uniform and rapid mass transfer mixing reaction between raw materials to ensure the uniformity of DAAF particle nucleation-growth, and to prepare high-quality DAAF crystals with uniform structure and morphology and concentrated particle size distribution. In the microdroplet globular template stage, the microfluidic droplet technology was used to form a droplet globular template with uniform size under the shear action of the continuous phase of the dispersed phase solution containing DAAF particles and binder. The size of the droplet template was controlled by adjusting the flow rate ratio between the continuous phase and the dispersed phase. In the droplet globular template, with the diffusion of the solvent in the dispersed phase droplets, the binder precipitates to coat the DAAF into a ball, forming a DAAF microsphere with high sphericity, narrow particle size distribution and good monodispersity. The problem of discontinuity and DAAF particle suspension in the process was solved, and the coating theory under this process was studied. DAAF was coated with different binder formulations of fluororubber(F2604), nitrocellulose(NC) and NC/glycidyl azide polymer(GAP), and the process verification and evaluation of the system were carried out. The characteristics of early-onset(onset age differ significantly. Identifying novel risk factors for both types of cancer is crucial for increasing awareness of cancer prevention and for reducing its burden. This study aimed to analyze the trends in incidence and risk factors for early-onset and late-onset cancers. We conducted a prospective study by drawing data from the Kailuan Study. This study included 6,741 participants with cancer(624 with early-onset cancer and 6,117 with later-onset cancer)and 6,780 matched controls among the 186,249 participants who underwent Kailuan health examinations from 2006 to 2019. The primary outcomes were cancer incidence rates, and associated risk factors for early-and later-onset cancer. Weighted Cox regression was used to calculate hazard ratios and 95% confidence intervals of each exposure factor for early-and later-onset cancer by cancer type. Populationattributable risk proportions were used to estimate the number of cases that could be prevented by eliminating a risk factor from the population. Except for liver cancer, incidence rates for nearly all types of cancer increased during the study period. Smoking, alcohol consumption, lipid metabolism disorders, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, fatty liver, and inflammation were associated with a significantly increased risk of cancer at multiple sites, but risk factors for cancer incidence differed by site. Smoking, alcohol consumption, inflammation,and hypertension were the major contributors to preventable cancer. The incidence of several different types of cancer, including earlyonset cancer, is increasing in northeastern China. differences in risk factors between early-onset and later-onset malignancies may contribute to the divergence in the observed changes in incidence trends between these two specific types of cancer.
