Integrating electrochemical reduction of CO_(2)and electrochemical oxidation to recycle degraded superalloys is a promising solution to ease resource scarcity and safeguard environmental ***,we propose an electrochemical technique for the conversion of bulk superalloy scraps and CO_(2)into oxide powder at the anode and solid carbon at the cathode,*** particular,a borax-modifi ed CaCl_(2)-based molten salt electrolyte is used for enhancing the electrochemical oxidation of superalloy *** a temperature of 700℃and a voltage of 2.8 V,90.55 wt.%of alloy scraps were oxidized in a molten CaCl_(2)–NaCl–CaCO_(3)–Na_(2)B_(4)O_(7)with an acid–base ratio(K_(a/b))of *** synergy of Cl−and B_(4)O_(7)2−of electrolyte prevents the passivation of the alloy anode and enables continuous ***,the Ni and Co in the anode products are recovered by sulfation roasting with recovery efficiencies of 85.58%and 95.27%for Ni and Co,***,modulating the alkalinity of the electrolyte for enhancing oxidation/pulverization of alloy scrap anode provides new insight into electrochemically recovering superalloy scraps.

Enhancing the thermoelectric transport properties of conductive polymer materials has been a long-term challenge, in spite of the success seen with molecular doping strategies. However, the strong coupling between the thermopower and the electrical conductivity limits thermoelectric performance. Here, we use polaron interfacial occupied entropy engineering to break through this intercoupling for a PEDOT:PSS(poly（3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene）-poly（4-styrenesulfonate）) thin film by using photochromic diarylethene（DAE） dopants coupled with UV-light modulation. With a 10-fold enhancement of the thermopower from 13.5 μV K-1to 135.4 μV K-1and almost unchanged electrical conductivity, the DAE-doped PEDOT:PSS thin film achieved an extremely high power factor of 521.28 μW m-1K-2from an original value of 6.78 μW m-1K-2. The thermopower was positively correlated with the UV-light intensity but decreased with increasing temperature, indicating resonant coupling between the planar closed DAE molecule and PEDOT. Both the experiments and theoretical calculations consistently confirmed the formation of an interface state due to this resonant coupling. Interfacial entropy engineering of polarons could play a critical role in enhancing the thermoelectric performance of the organic film.

Pt-Ir alloy is potential superalloys used above 1300℃because of their high strength and creep ***,the ductility of Pt-Ir alloy has rapidly deteriorated with the increase of Ir,resulting in poor *** work quantitatively evaluated the solid solution strengthening(SSS)and grain refinement strengthening(GRS)of Pt-Ir alloy using first-principles calculations combined with experimental ***,the stretching force constants in the second nearest neighbor region(SFC^(2nd))of pure Ir(193.7 eV·nm^(-2))are 3.40 times that of pure Pt(57.0 eV·nm^(-2)),i.e.,the interatomic interaction is greatly enhanced with the increase of Ir content,which leads to the decrease of ductility,and modulus misfit plays a dominant role in ***,the physical mechanisms responsible for the hardness(H_(V))of Pt-Ir alloy,using the power-law-scaled function of electron work function coupled SSS and GRS,are attributed to the electron redistribution caused by different Ir ***,a thorough assessment of the thermodynamic characteristics of Pt-Ir binary alloy was conducted,culminating in development of a mapping model that effectively relates enmposition,temperature and *** results revealed that the compressive strength incrcases with the Ir content,and the highest strength was observed in Pt_(0.25)Ir_(0.75).This study provides valuable insights into the Pt-Ir alloy system.

Association between physical activity and risk of gastroesophageal reflux disease:A systematic review and meta-analysis

Background:Lifestyle plays an important role in preventing and managing gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD).In response to the conflicting results in previous studies,we performed a systematic review and meta-analysis to investigate this ***:Relevant studies published until January 2023 were retrieved from 6 databases,and the prevalence of symptomatic gastroesophageal reflux(GER)or GERD was determined from the original studies.A random effects model was employed to meta-analyze the association by computing the pooled relative risk(RR)with 95%confidence intervals(95%CIs).Furthermore,subgroup and dose-response analyses were performed to explore subgroup differences and the association between cumulative physical activity(PA)time and ***:This meta-analysis included 33 studies comprising 242,850 participants.A significant negative association was observed between PA and the prevalence of symptomatic GER(RR=0.74,95%CI:0.66-0.83;pdicated the presence of this association across nearly all subgroups,particularly among the older individuals(RR_(years):RR_(≥40 years)=0.85:0.69,pdividuals who engaged in 150 min of PA per week had a 72.09%lower risk of developing ***:Maintaining high levels of PA decreased the risk of GERD,particularly among older adults and *** the recommended PA level of 150 min per week may significantly decrease the prevalence of GERD.

The incre asing interest in RNA modifications has signifcantly advanced epigenomic and epitranscriptomic *** study focuses on the immuno oncological impact of ALYREF in human cancer through a pan-cancer analysis,enhancing understanding of this gene's role in *** observed differential ALYREF expression between tumor and normal samples,correl ating strongly with prognosis in various cancers,particularly kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma(KIRP)and liver hepatocellular carcinoma(LIHC).ALYREF showed a negative correlation with most tumor-infitrating cells in lung squamous cell carcinoma(LUSC)and lymphoid neoplasm difuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBC),while positive correlations were noted in IIHC,kidney chromophobe(KICH),mesothelioma(MESO),KIRP,pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma(PARD),and glioma(GBMLGG).Aditionally,ALYREF expression was closely associated with tumor heterogeneity,stemness indices,and a high mutation rate in TP53 across these *** conclusion,ALYREF may serve as an oncogenic biomarker in numerous cancers,meriting further research attention.
