Electronic doped quantum dots(Ed-QDs),by heterovalent cations doping,have held promise for future device concepts in optoelectronic and spin-based technologies due to their broadband Stokes-shifted luminescence,enhanced electrical transport and tailored magnetic *** their scale-up requirement and the low yielding of several current colloidal synthesis methods,a stable and efficient bulk synthesis strategy must be *** have long been recognized as an effective platform for producing nanomaterials and fabricating large-scale ***,we chose microreactor platform for continuous synthesis of Ed-QDs in the air at low *** original reverse cation exchange reaction mechanism together with varying the kinetic conditions of microreactor platform,such as liquid flow rate,the Ag doped CdS(CdS:Ag)Ed-QDs with higher yield have been synthesized successfully due to the continuous synthesis advantages with a high degree of size *** by microreactor engineering simulation,this research not only provides a new synthetic method towards scale-up production but also enables to improve chemical mass production of similar functional QDs for optical devices,bioimaging and innovative information processing applications.

Preparation of large-size Al_(2)O_(3)/GdAlO_(3)/ZrO_(2)ternary eutectic ceramic rod by laser directed energy deposition and its microstructure homogenization mechanism

Laser 3D printing based on melt growth has great potential in rapid preparation of Al_(2)O_(3)-based eutectic ce *** this work,la rge-scale Al_(2)O_(3)/GdAlO_(3)/ZrO_(2)ternary eutectic ceramic rod with diameter of 4-5 mm and height higher than 250 mm was additively manufactured by laser directed energy ***,heat treatment was applied to eliminate the microstructure heterogeneity in the as-deposited eutectic ceramic,and the microstructure homogenization mechanism was studied in *** results indicate that colonies and banded structures completely disappear after the heat treatment,producing a homogeneous network eutectic *** microstructure homogenization is revealed to experience three stages of discontinuous coarsening,continuous coarsening and microstructure ***,it is found that the eutectic spacing linearly increases with the heat treatment time,meaning that the coarsening behavior of the laser 3D-printed Al_(2)O_(3)/GdAlO_(3)/ZrO_(2)eutectic ceramic satisfies well with the Graham-Kraft model.

PAFR/Stat3 axis maintains the symbiotic ecosystem between tumor and stroma to facilitate tumor malignancy

Stroma surrounding the tumor cells plays crucial roles for tumor ***,little is known about the factors that maintain the symbiosis between stroma and tumor *** this study,we found that the transcriptional regulator-signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(Stat3)was frequently activated in cancer-associated fibroblasts(CAFs),which was a potent facilitator of tumor malignancy,and formed forward feedback loop with platelet-activating factor receptor(PAFR)both in CAFs and tumor ***,PAFR/Stat3 axis connected intercellular signaling crosstalk between CAFs and cancer cells and drove mutual transcriptional programming of these two types of *** central Stat3-related cytokine signaling molecules-interleukin 6(IL-6)and IL-11 played the critical role in the process of PAFR/Stat3 axis-mediated communication between tumor and *** inhibition of PAFR and Stat3 activities effectively reduced tumor progression using CAFs/tumor co-culture xenograft *** study reveals that PAFR/Stat3 axis enhances the interaction between tumor and its associated stroma and suggests that targeting this axis can be an effective therapeutic strategy against tumor malignancy.

*** Modern turbine engines can be substantially damaged when the airborne silicate-based particles(fly ash,desert sand,volcanic ash,runway debris,etc.)are ingested into jet engines at high temperatures(1150−1250℃)[1-4],leading to severe CaO-MgO-Al_(2)O_(3)-SiO_(2)(CMAS)corrosion during their service *** order to extend the engine life,many efforts have been devoted to thermal barrier coatings(TBCs)and environmental barrier coatings(EBCs)to protect the substrate from corrosion by molten CMAS[5-7].To be specific,thermochemical and thermomechanical corrosion are the two main mechanisms of CMAS corrosion[8].The structure and composition of the coatings were changed due to the chemical reaction between the molten CMAS and coating,the detrimental phases were then precipitated[9,10].

The pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus is still looming worldwide,and the pandemic has challenged health care delivery and health care systems internationally.[1]The epidemic of seasonal influenza would occur in the winter *** coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)and influenza share many clinical symptoms,[2]it is difficult to distinguish these two respiratory infections in the early stage.[3]Although nucleic acid testing was the gold standard to identify different virus infected diseases,false-negative nucleic acid results were reported frequently in COVID-19,[4]and its diagnostic sensitivity is less ***,the aim of our study is to explore and compare the clinical characteristics of COVID-19 and influenza,which could deepen the understanding of these two diseases and provide some guidance for clinicians to make a differential diagnosis.

Quantifying glacial elevation changes in the central Qilian Mountains during the early 21^(st) century

Glaciers in the central Qilian Mountains provide important water resources for the arid Hexi corridor and Qaidam Basin;however,changes in these glaciers interact with climate ***-four bi-static image pairs of TerraSAR-X add-on for digital Elevation Measurement(TanDEM-X)data,in addition to a Shuttle Radar Topography Mission-C/X band digital elevation model,and the technology of iterative differential synthetic aperture radar interferometry were used to carry out glacier elevation change analysis in the central Qilian Mountains in China during 2000–*** elevation changed with an average rate of(−0.47±0.06)m yr^(−1),while changes in elevation of(−0.51±0.06)m yr^(−1) and(−0.44±0.06)m yr^(−1) were found in the northern(including the Zoulangnan,Tuolai,and Tuolainan mountains)and southern(including the Shulenan and Hark mountains)regions,*** mean temperature has risen by 0.51℃(10 yr)^(−1)in the northern region and 0.48℃(10 yr)^(−1) in the southern region during 1989–2014;however,the change in amplitude of annual precipitation was 2.69 mm yr^(−1) in the northern region and 4.77 mm yr^(−1) in the southern region for the same *** changes can be ascribed as major driving factors for the differences in the changes in glacial elevation in the northern and southern *** types of glaciers existed in the region when considering the change in elevation of the glacial tongue and variation in the position of the glacial terminus:surging,advancing,intensively retreating,and slightly retreating *** elevation decreased more than 20 m on the part of glacier tongue,the glacier terminus position had commonly retreated more than 100 m.

Limited by the tiny structure of axons,the effects of these axonal hyperpolarizing inputs on neuronal activity have not been directly ***,we imitated these processes by simultaneously recording the activities of the somas and proximal axons of cortical pyramidal *** found that spikes and subthreshold potentials propagate between somas and axons with high ***,inhibitory inputs on axons have opposite effects on neuronal activity according to their temporal integration with upstream *** with somatic depolarization,inhibitory inputs on axons decrease neuronal excitability and impede spike *** addition,following action potentials,inhibitory inputs on an axon increase neuronal spike capacity and improve spike *** results indicate that inhibitory inputs on proximal axons have dual regulatory functions in neuronal activity（suppression or facilitation）according to neuronal network patterns.

Background:Doctors working in neurological intensive care unit(NICU) are prone to suffer from mental health problems because of their highly demanding and stressful ***,there are still very limited data of mental health status of NICU doctors in ***,this study was designed to investigate their psychological ***:A total of 273 NICU doctors were tested and analyzed by using symptom check list 90(SCL-90).15 potential relevant factors that could affect the mental health status of NICU doctors were also analyzed by multivariate logistic ***:The total mean score of NICU doctors was 175.49 ± *** half of the doctors were diagnosed with positive psychological *** analysis revealed that education,title,working hours per week,frequency of night shift were risk factors for positive *** pooled estimates of all the nine factors,including somatization,obsession-compulsion,interpersonal-sensitivity,depression,anxiety,hostility,phobic anxiety,and paranoid ideation among NICU doctors,were significantly higher than those in the general population(P<0.001).Conclusions:This study highlighted that the situation of psychological health of NICU doctors in China is worrying,and it is urgent to take some effective measures to improve their mental health.
