Effect of mesopore spatial distribution of HZSM-5 catalyst on zinc state and product distribution in 1-hexene aromatization

1-hexene aromatization is a promising technology to convert excess olefin in fluid catalytic cracking(FCC)gasoline to high-value benzene(B),toluene(T),and xylene.Besides,the increasing market demand of xylene has put forward higher requirements for new generation of catalyst.For increasing xylene yield in 1-hexene aromatization,the effect of mesopore structure and spatial distribution on product distribution and Zn loading was studied.Catalysts with different mesopore spatial distribution were prepared by post-treatment of parent HZSM-5 zeolite,including NaOH treatment,tetra-propylammonium hydroxide(TPAOH)treatment,and recrystallization.It was found the evenly distributed mesopore mainly prolongs the catalyst lifetime by enhancing diffusion properties but reduces the aromatics selectivity,as a result of damage of micropores close to the catalyst surface.While the selectivity of high-value xylene can be highly promoted when the mesopore is mainly distributed interior the catalyst.Besides,the state of loaded Zn was also affected by mesopores spatial distribution.On the optimized catalyst,the xylene selectivity was enhanced by 12.4%compared with conventional Zn-loaded parent HZSM-5 catalyst at conversion over 99%.It was attributed to the synergy effect of mesopores spatial distribution and optimized acid properties.This work reveals the role of mesopores in different spatial positions of 1-hexene aromatization catalysts in the reaction process and the influence on metal distribution,as well as their synergistic effect two on the improvement of xylene selectivity,which can improve our understanding of catalyst pore structure and be helpful for the rational design of high-efficient catalyst.

Streamflow abrupt change and the driving factors in glacierized basins of Tarim Basin,Northwest China

A climate transition towards warm-wet conditions in Northwest China has drawn much attention.With continuous climate change and universal glacier degradation,increasing water-related hazards and vulnerability have become one of the important problems facing the Tarim Basin.However,the impacts of the climate transition on streamflow abrupt change and extreme hydrological events were less discussed,especially in glacial basins.In the present study,the discharge datasets in four glacial basins of Tarim Basin from 1979 to 2018 were constructed using the GRU-GSWAT+model first.The differences in streamflow characteristics,the shift of hydrological extreme pattern,and potential changes of the controlling factors before and after the abrupt changes were investigated.The results indicated that the abrupt change point(ACP)in streamflow occurred in 2000 in the Qarqan River Basin,2002 in the weigan River Basin,and 1994 in the Aksu River Basin and the Yarkant River Basin.A general decrease in streamflow before the ACP has shifted to a notable upward trend in the Qarqan River Basin and the Aksu River Basin,while minor upward fluctuations were observed in other basins.Moreover,the hydrological characteristics in extreme events vary dramatically before and after the ACPs,characterized by a pronouncing shift from drought-dominant pattern to wet events dominated pattern.The driven climate factors have been altered after the ACPs with notable spatial heterogeneity,in which temperature remained as the dominant role in meltwater-dominated basins while the influence of precipitation has increased after the ACPs,whereas the sensitivity of temperature on streamflow change has been enhanced in basins dominated by precipitation such as the Qarqan River Basin.Owing to the evident warming-wetting trend and glacier compensation effect,both the inter-annual and intra-annual streamflow fluctuations can be efficiently smoothed in basins with a high glacier area ratio(GAR).These findings provide a further understanding of the abrupt change in st

The safety of nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems(DDSs)for cancer treatment is still a challenge,restricted by the intrinsic cytotoxicity of drug carriers and leakage of loaded drug.Here,we propose a novel nanocarrier’s cytotoxicity avoidance strategy by synthesizing an encapsulation core–shell structure of zeolitic imidazolate framework-8(ZIF-8)-based colloid particles(CPs)with an amorphous ZIF-8 skin.This encapsulation structure achieves an ultra-high loading rate(LR)of 90%(i.e.,9 mg doxorubicin(DOX)per 1 mg ZIF-8)for DOX and the protection of DOX from leaking.Notably,to deliver unit-dose drug,this ultra-high LR of 90%significantly reduces the usage of ZIF-8 to 1.2%(2 orders of magnitude)compared to that of DOX@ZIF-8 with a 10%LR,in which cytotoxicity of ZIF-8 could well below the safety limit and then be relatively ignored.Safety,drug delivery efficacy,scale-up ability,and universality of this encapsulation structure have been further verified.Our findings suggest the great potential of this ZIF-8-based encapsulation core–shell structure in the field of drug delivery.

Texture and Se vacancy optimization induces high thermoelectric performance in Bi2Se3 flexible thin films

Bi2Se3-based flexible thin film with high thermoelectric performance is promising for the waste heat recovery technology.In this work,a novel post-selenization method is employed to prepare n-type Bi2Se3flexible thin films with highly textured structure.The strengthened texture and Se vacancy optimization can be simultaneously achieved by optimizing the selenization temperature.The highly oriented texture leads to the increased carrier mobility and results in a high electric conductivity of ～290.47 S·cm-1at 623 K.Correspondingly,a high Seebeck coefficient(> 110 μW·K-1) is obtained due to the reduced carrier concentration,induced by optimizing vacancy engineering.Consequently,a high power factor of 3.49 μW·cm-1·K-2at 623 K has been achieved in asprepared highly-bendable Bi2Se3flexible thin films selenized at 783 K.This study introduces an effective post-selenization method to tune the texture structure and vacancies of Bi2Se3flexible thin films,and correspondingly achieves high thermoelectric performance.

Background Our recent pilot study suggests intra-arterial tenecteplase(TNK)during the first pass of endovascular treatment(EVT)seems safe,may increase first-pass reperfusion and good outcome in acute ischaemic stroke(AIS)patients with large-vessel occlusion(LVO).Aims To determine the efficacy and safety of intra-arterial TNK administration during EVT in AIS-LVO patients presenting up to 24 hours from symptom onset.Sample size estimates A maximum of 380 patients are required to test the superiority hypothesis with 80%power according to a two-side 0.05 level of significance,stratified by age,gender,baseline systolic blood pressure,prestroke modified Rankin Scale(mRS),baseline National Institute of Health stroke scale,baseline ASPECTS,time from onset to groin puncture,intravenous thrombolysis before EVT,stroke territory and stroke aetiology.Design Intra-arterial TNK during thrombectomy for acute stroke(BRETIS-TNK II)study is a prospective,randomised,adaptive enrichment,open-label,blinded end point,multicentre study.Eligible AIS-LVO patients are randomly assigned into the experimental group and control group with a ratio of 1:1.The experimental group will be treated with intra-arterial infusion of TNK during EVT.The control group will be treated with standard EVT.Outcome The primary end point is a favourable outcome,defined as an mRS score of 0–2 at 90 days.The primary safety end point is symptomatic intracranial haemorrhage within 48 hours,which is defined as an increase in the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale score of≥4 points as a result of the intracranial haemorrhage.Conclusions The results of BRETIS-TNK II will provide evidence for the efficacy and safety of intra-arterial TNK administration during EVT in AIS patients with LVO.

Microplastics(MPs)have become a significant concern for their potential toxicity.However,the correlation between the size of plastic particles and their toxicity remains inconclusive.Here,we investigate the toxic effects of different sizes(80 nm,800 nm,8μm and 80μm)polystyrene MPs(PS-MPs)on the model organism Nile tilapia(Oreochromis niloticus).The results of bioluminescent imaging indicate that the 80 nm PS-MPs are more likely to invade the body.H&E staining shows severe damage on the intestinal villi and distinct hepatic steatosis in the 80 nm group.Ed U labeling shows that the proliferation activity of intestinal and liver cells reduces significantly in the 80 nm group.The gut microbiome analysis shows a severe imbalance of gut microbiota homeostasis in the 80 nm group.The analysis of liver transcriptomics and metabolomics shows that the liver lipid metabolism is disordered in the 80 nm group.In conclusion,this study confirms that the 80 nm PS-MPs are more likely to induce intestinal and liver toxicity.All the above lay the foundation for further study on the pathological damage of MPs to other organisms.

Bioinspired Stretchable MXene Deformation-Insensitive Hydrogel Temperature Sensors for Plant and Skin Electronics

Temperature sensing is of high value in the wearable healthcare,robotics/prosthesis,and noncontact physiological monitoring.However,the common mechanic deformation,including pressing,bending,and stretching,usually causes undesirable feature size changes to the inner conductive network distribution of temperature sensors,which seriously influences the accuracy.Here,inspired by the transient receptor potential mechanism of biological thermoreceptors that could work precisely under various skin contortions,we propose an MXene/Clay/poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)(PNIPAM)(MCP)hydrogel with high stretchability,spike response,and deformation insensitivity.The dynamic spike response is triggered by the inner conductive network transformation from the 3-dimensional structure to the 2-dimensional surface after water being discharged at the threshold temperature.The water discharge is solely determined by the thermosensitivity of PNIPAM,which is free from mechanical deformation,so the MCP hydrogels can perform precise threshold temperature(32℃)sensing under various deformation conditions,i.e.,pressing and 15%stretching.As a proof of concept,we demonstrated the applications in plant electronics for the real-time surface temperature monitoring and skin electronics for communicating between human and machines.Our research opens venues for the accurate temperature-threshold sensation on the complicated surface and mechanical conditions.

Integrated multi-omics analysis reveals liver metabolic reprogramming by fish iridovirus and antiviral function of alpha-linolenic acid

Iridovirus poses a substantial threat to global aquaculture due to its high mortality rate;however,the molecular mechanisms underpinning its pathogenesis are not well elucidated.Here,a multi-omics approach was applied to groupers infected with Singapore grouper iridovirus(SGIV),focusing on the roles of key metabolites.Results showed that SGIV induced obvious histopathological damage and changes in metabolic enzymes within the liver.Furthermore,SGIV significantly reduced the contents of lipid droplets,triglycerides,cholesterol,and lipoproteins.Metabolomic analysis indicated that the altered metabolites were enriched in 19 pathways,with a notable down-regulation of lipid metabolites such as glycerophosphates and alpha-linolenic acid(ALA),consistent with disturbed lipid homeostasis in the liver.Integration of transcriptomic and metabolomic data revealed that the top enriched pathways were related to cell growth and death and nucleotide,carbohydrate,amino acid,and lipid metabolism,supporting the conclusion that SGIV infection induced liver metabolic reprogramming.Further integrative transcriptomic and proteomic analysis indicated that SGIV infection activated crucial molecular events in a phagosome-immune depression-metabolism dysregulation-necrosis signaling cascade.Of note,integrative multi-omics analysis demonstrated the consumption of ALA and linoleic acid(LA)metabolites,and the accumulation of L-glutamic acid(GA),accompanied by alterations in immune,inflammation,and cell death-related genes.Further experimental data showed that ALA,but not GA,suppressed SGIV replication by activating antioxidant and anti-inflammatory responses in the host.Collectively,these findings provide a comprehensive resource for understanding host response dynamics during fish iridovirus infection and highlight the antiviral potential of ALA in the prevention and treatment of iridoviral diseases.

As a ceramic material,AlN has very good thermophysical and mechanical properties.In addition,AlN is an effective refining agent for Mg alloys because it has a lattice constant similar to that of Mg.Therefore,AlN is an ideal reinforcement for magnesium matrix composites(MMCs),and is attracting increasing attention.This review addresses the development of preparation technologies for AlN-reinforced Mg matrix composites.The mainstream preparation techniques include stir casting,melt infiltration,powder metallurgy,and in-situ methods.In addition,the advantages and disadvantages of these techniques are analyzed in depth,and it is pointed out that the next direction for the preparation of high-performance AlN-reinforced MMCs is less aluminization and multiple technologies integration.

Aerodynamic Features of High-Speed Maglev Trains with different Marshaling Lengths Running on a Viaduct under Crosswinds

The safety and stability of high-speed maglev trains traveling on viaducts in crosswinds critically depend on their aerodynamic characteristics.Therefore,this paper uses an improved delayed detached eddy simulation(IDDES)method to investigate the aerodynamic features of high-speed maglev trains with different marshaling lengths under crosswinds.The effects of marshaling lengths(varying from 3-car to 8-car groups)on the train’s aerodynamic performance,surface pressure,and the flow field surrounding the train were investigated using the three-dimensional unsteady compressible Navier-Stokes(N-S)equations.The results showed that the marshaling lengths had minimal influence on the aerodynamic performance of the head and middle cars.Conversely,the marshaling lengths are negatively correlated with the time-average side force coefficient(CS)and time-average lift force coefficient(Cl)of the tail car.Compared to the tail car of the 3-car groups,the CS and Cl fell by 27.77%and 18.29%,respectively,for the tail car of the 8-car groups.It is essential to pay more attention to the operational safety of the head car,as it exhibits the highest time average CS.Additionally,the mean pressure difference between the two sides of the tail car body increased with the marshaling lengths,and the side force direction on the tail car was opposite to that of the head and middle cars.Furthermore,the turbulent kinetic energy of the wake structure on the windward side quickly decreased as marshaling lengths increased.
