Purpose:This study aimed to non-inv.siv.ly test the hypothesis that(a) short-term lower limb unloading would induce changes in the neural control of force production(based on motor units(MUs) properties) in the v.stus lateralis muscle and(b) possible changes are rev.rsed by activ. recov.ry(AR).Methods:Ten young males underwent 10 days of unilateral lower limb suspension(ULLS) followed by 21 days of *** ULLS,participants walked exclusiv.ly on crutches with the dominant leg suspended in a slightly flexed position(15°-20°) and with the contralateral foot raised by an elev.ted *** AR was based on resistance exercise(leg press and leg extension) and executed at 70% of each participant’s 1repetition maximum,3 times/*** v.luntary isometric contraction(Mv.) of knee extensors and MUs properties of the v.stus lateralis muscle were measured at baseline,after ULLS,and after *** were identified using high-density electromyography during trapezoidal isometric contractions at 10%,25%,and 50% of the current Mv.,and indiv.dual MUs were tracked across the 3 data collection ***:We identified 1428 unique MUs,and 270 of them(18.9%) were accurately *** ULLS,Mv. decreased by 29.77%,MUs absolute recruitment/derecruitment thresholds were reduced at all contraction intensities(with changes between the 2 v.riables strongly correlated),while discharge rate was reduced at 10% and 25% but not at 50% *** Mv. and MUs properties fully recov.red to baseline lev.ls after *** changes were observ.d in the pool of total as well as tracked ***:Our nov.l results demonstrate,non-inv.siv.ly,that 10 days of ULLS affected neural control predominantly by altering the discharge rate of lower-threshold but not of higher-threshold MUs,suggesting a preferential impact of disuse on motoneurons with a lower depolarization ***,after 21 days of AR,the impaired MUs properties were fully restored to baseline lev.ls,highlighting the plas

CToMP: a cycle-task-oriented memory protection scheme for unmanned systems

Memory corruption attacks(MCAs) refer to malicious behav.ors of system intruders that modify the contents of a memory location to disrupt the normal operation of computing systems, causing leakage of sensitiv. data or perturbations to ongoing processes. Unlike general-purpose systems, unmanned systems cannot deploy complete security protection schemes, due to their limitations in size, cost and *** in unmanned systems are particularly difficult to defend against. Furthermore, MCAs hav. div.rse and unpredictable attack interfaces in unmanned systems, sev.rely impacting digital and physical sectors. In this paper, we first generalize, model and taxonomize MCAs found in unmanned systems currently, laying the foundation for designing a portable and general defense approach. According to different attack mechanisms,we found that MCAs are mainly categorized into two types — return2libc and return2shellcode. To tackle return2libc attacks, we model the erratic operation of unmanned systems with cycles and then propose a cycle-task-oriented memory protection(CToMP) approach to protect control flows from tampering. To defend against return2shellcode attacks, we introduce a secure process stack with a randomized memory address by lev.raging the memory pool to prev.nt Shellcode from being executed. Moreov.r, we discuss the mechanism by which CTo MP resists the return-oriented programming(ROP) attack, a nov.l v.riant of return2libc attacks. Finally, we implement CTo MP on CUAv.v.+ with Ardupilot and Crazyflie. The ev.luation and security analysis results demonstrate that the proposed approach CTo MP is resilient to v.rious MCAs in unmanned systems with low footprints and system ov.rhead.

There are many studies about flexible job shop scheduling problem with fuzzy processing time and deteriorating scheduling,but most scholars neglect the connection between them,which means the purpose of both models is to simulate a more realistic factory *** this perspectiv.,the solutions can be more precise and practical if both issues are considered ***,the deterioration effect is treated as a part of the fuzzy job shop scheduling problem in this paper,which means the linear increase of a certain processing time is transformed into an internal linear shift of a triangle fuzzy processing *** from that,many other contributions can be stated as follows.A new algorithm called reinforcement learning based biased bi-population ev.lutionary algorithm(RB2EA)is proposed,which utilizes Q-learning algorithm to adjust the size of the two populations and the interaction frequency according to the quality of population.A local enhancement method which combimes multiple local search stratgies is *** interaction mechanism is designed to promote the conv.rgence of the *** experiments are designed to ev.luate the efficacy of RB2EA,and the conclusion can be drew that RB2EA is able to solv. energy-efficient fuzzy flexible job shop scheduling problem with deteriorating jobs(EFFJSPD)efficiently.

Intelligent speed adaptation for v.sibility technology affects driv.rs’speed selection along curv.s with sight limitations

Sight obstructions along road curv.s can lead to a crash if the driv.r is not able to stop the v.hicle in *** is a particular issue along curv.s with limited av.ilable sight,where speed management is necessary to av.id unsafe situations(e.g.,driv.ng off the road or inv.ding the other traffic lane).To solv. this issue,we proposed a nov.l intelligent speed adaptation(ISA)system for v.sibility,called v.ISA(intelligent speed adaptation for v.sibility).It estimates the real-time safe speed limits based on the prev.iling sight conditions.v.ISA comes with three v.riants with specific feedback modalities(1)v.sual and(2)auditory information,and(3)direct interv.ntion to assume control ov.r the v.hicle ***,we inv.stigated the efficiency of each of the three v.ISA v.riants on driv.ng speed choice and lateral behav.oural response along road curv.s with limited and unsafe av.ilable sight distances,using a driv.ng *** also considered curv. road geometry(curv. direction:rightward ***).Sixty activ. driv.rs were recruited for the *** half of them(experimental group)tested the three v.ISA v.riants(and a v.ISA off condition),the other half always drov. with the v.ISA off(v.lidation group).We used a linear mixed-effect model to ev.luate the influence of v.ISA on driv.r *** v.ISA v.riants were efficient at reducing speeds at entrance points,with no discernible negativ. impact on driv.r lateral *** rightward curv.s,the v.ISA interv.ning v.riant appeared to be the most effectiv. at adapting to sight *** of the current study implies that v.ISA might assist driv.rs to adjust their operating speed as per prev.iling sight conditions and,consequently,establishes safer driv.ng conditions.

Env.ronmental characteristics of trace metals in seawater from the Ninety East Ridge in the Indian Ocean

The Ninety East Ridge in the Indian Ocean has complex and unique *** concentrations and distribution characteristics of 10 trace metals(v.Cr,Mn,Fe,Co,Ni,Cu,Cd,Pb,and U)in seawater from the Ninety East Ridge in the Indian Ocean were *** show that the av.rage concentrations of different trace metals in all the collected seawater samples were 1.134μg/L for v.0.158μg/L for Cr,0.489μg/L for Mn,0.427μg/L for Fe,0.011μg/L for Co,0.395μg/L for Ni,0.403μg/L for Cu,0.097μg/L for Cd,0.139μg/L for Pb,and 3.470μg/L for *** in the horizontal and v.rtical distributions of all measured trace metals were rev.aled,and the occurrence of high concentrations was *** addition,the significant differences in the concentration distribution of different trace metals in seawater on both sides of the Ninety East Ridge present regional segmentation in the area for v.rious trace metals in deep sea *** study prov.ded basic data for future inv.stigations on the env.ronmental and ecological impact of trace metals in the Indian Ocean and the potential water mass transport mechanism.
