Interplay between Microscopic Structures and Macroscopic Viscoelastic Properties of Polyampholyte Gels

Polyampholyte gels,which have hierarchical structures,exhibit excellent self-healing properties and have great promise for biomaterials and *** investigated the relationship between microscopic structures and macroscopic viscoelastic properties of polyampholyte gels and found three factors influencing their viscoelastic properties,including the chemical crosslinking bonds,topological entanglements controlled by monomer concentration,and the ionic *** strength plays a major role on the strength of ionic bonds.A crossover point of elastic modulus and loss modulus was observed in the dynamic frequency sweeps at low monomer concentration or low chemical crosslinking density for gels with intermediate strength of ionic *** solid-liquid transition signaled by the crossover point is a typical feature of dynamic associated gels,representing the dynamical association-dissociation of the ionic bonds and full relaxation of the topological entanglements in the gel *** the crossover point disappears when the ionic bonds are too weak or too strong to form“permanent”***,in the non-linear yielding measurement,gels with intermediate strength of the ionic bonds are ductile and yield at very large shear strain due to the self-healing properties and the dynamic association-dissociation of the ionic *** the self-healing properties disappear when the ionic bond strength is too weak or too *** work reveals the mechanism of how the dynamic association-dissociation of ionic bonds influences both the linear and non-linear viscoelastic properties of the polyampholyte gels.

Structural characteristics and drivers of greenhouse gas emissions at county-level and long-time scales:A case study of the Anji County,China

To achieve carbon neutrality,the Chinese government needs to gain a comprehensive understanding of the sources and drivers of greenhouse gas(GHG)emissions,particularly at the county *** County in eastern China is a typical example of an industrial transformation from quarrying to a low-carbon *** study analyzed the decoupling types and structural characteristics of GHG emissions and the driving factors of carbon dioxide(CO_(2))emissions in the Anji from 2006 to 2019,and explored the differences between countylevel and provincial-level or city-level *** was observed that energy-related activities are the main source of GHG emissions in Anji and that economic development is the driving factor behind the increasing CO_(2)***,industrial transformation and upgradation coupled with the alternative use of clean energy limit the growth of GHG *** study details the GHG emissions of county during the industrial transformation stage and provides corresponding policy recommendations for county governments.

NaBH4-induced phase transition of CoSe_(2) with abundant Se deficiency for acidic oxygen reduction to hydrogen peroxide

Electrocatalytic oxygen reduction(ORR)via the 2e−pathway to form H_(2)O_(2) in acidic medium has attracted extensive ***,the low activity,insufficient selectivity and high cost of catalysts have been the ***,CoSe_(2) with abundant Se deficiency was synthesized by a simple hydrothermal method,and the addition of NaBH4-induced CoSe_(2) phase transition from orthorhombic to cubic phase with more Se *** cubic phase CoSe_(2) with abundant Se deficiency can effectively regulate the surface electronic structure with suitable binding energies of*OOH and*O,which shows high activity,selectivity and long-term stability for acidic ORR to H_(2)O_(2).The onset potential is as low as 0.73 V *** hydrogen electrode(RHE),the H_(2)O_(2) selectivity is 84%(0 V ***),and the average electron transfer number is about ***,the H_(2)O_(2) yield measured using a flow cell is as high as 115.92 mmol·gcat.^(−1)·h^(−1) and the Faradaic efficiency is 70%at 0 V ***,which presents high potential in electrocatalytic acidic ORR to H_(2)O_(2) and organic pollutant degradation using the electron-Fenton process.

Experimental and theoretical analysis of loading characteristics of electret filter media for charged particles

The degradation of filtration performance in electret filter media during usage poses a significant challenge. Pre-charging of aerosols has been identified as an effective method to mitigate this issue. However, the effects of particle charging characteristics on the loading characteristics of electret filters still need a comprehensive understanding. In this study, a needle-cylinder corona charger was employed to pre-charge aerosols, and the particle charge state was determined by multiphysics simulation. The effects of particle charge polarity and charge quantity on the loading performance of the electret filter were quantitatively investigated. The results showed that the particle charge polarity had a negligible impact on the loading performance under the condition of the equivalent particle charge quantity. In addition, the charged particles effectively improved the efficiency degradation during the loading process of electret media, with higher charge quantities resulting in more pronounced improvements. The electrostatic attenuation factor showed a negative exponential correlation with the particle charge quantity. This was attributed to the uneven particle deposition on fiber surface due to the attraction of charged particles by the opposite charges on the electret fibers, which alleviated the effect of electrostatic shielding.

Identification of collagen subtypes of gastric cancer for distinguishing patient prognosis and therapeutic response

Background:Gastric cancer is a highly heterogeneous disease,presenting a major obstacle to personalized *** markers of the immune checkpoint blockade response are needed for precise patient ***,therefore,divided patients with gastric cancer according to collagen gene expression to indicate their prognosis and treatment ***:We collected data for 1250 patients with gastric cancer from four *** the TCGA‐STAD cohort,we used consensus clustering to stratify patients based on expression levels of 44 collagen genes and compared the prognosis and clinical characteristics between collagen *** then identified distinct transcriptomic and genetic alteration signatures for the *** analyzed the associations of collagen subtypes with the responses to chemotherapy,immunotherapy,and targeted *** also established a platform‐independent collagen‐subtype *** verified the findings in three validation cohorts(GSE84433,GSE62254,and GSE15459)and compared the collagen subtyping method with other molecular subtyping ***:We identified two subtypes of gastric adenocarcinoma:a highexpression collagen subtype(CS‐H)and a low‐expression collagen subtype(CS‐L).Collagen subtype was an independent prognostic factor,with better overall survival in the CS‐L *** inflammatory response,angiogenesis,and phosphoinositide 3‐kinase(PI3K)/Akt pathways were transcriptionally active in the CS‐H subtype,while DNA repair activity was significantly greater in the CS‐L ***3CA was frequently amplified in the CS‐H subtype,while PIK3C2A,PIK3C2G,and PIK3R1 were frequently deleted in the CS‐L ***‐H subtype tumors were more sensitive to fluorouracil,while CS‐L subtype tumors were more sensitive to immune checkpoint ***‐L subtype was predicted to be more sensitive to HER2‐targeted drugs,and CS‐H subtype was predicted to be more sensitive to vascular endothelial growth factor and PI3K pathway‐target

different woodland landscape ecological networks of Zhongshan City have been found at 5 thresh olds on the basis of graph theory models and landscape ecology principles. We use network analysis methods and network structure indices for analyzing network structural characteristics of Zhongshan City and their evolution processes in 1988 and 2006. Results show that the forest landscape patches were somewhat stable whose total acreage decreased slightly. However, the internal landscape network structure suffered greatly. The ecological function of core nodes is constrained while connection between large patches is poor and key corridors are gradually disappearing. No longer in small scale former high quality, active connection modes exist, which are replaced by a large number of scattered nodes. Fragmentation and isolation become serious problems. The whole network tends to falling apart. It urgently needs enhancing network stability and restor ing degraded habitats. An ameliorative program on woodland landscape ecological networks has been offered in conclusion. We form a forest landscape ecological network conformation which is combined with water corridors and meadow patches for grouping patches and a landscape lengthways axis to gradually integrate the fragmentized habitats into an organic whole and strengthen regional woodland landscape ecosystem ser vice functions in Zhongshan City.

Shor's algorithm does not factor large integers in the presence of noise

We consider Shor's quantum factoring algorithm in the setting of noisy quantum gates. Under a generic model of random noise for(controlled) rotation gates, we prove that the algorithm does not factor integers of the form pq when the noise exceeds a vanishingly small level in terms of n—the number of bits of the integer to be factored, where p and q are from a well-defined set of primes of positive density. We further prove that with probability 1-o(1) over random prime pairs(p, q), Shor's factoring algorithm does not factor numbers of the form pq, with the same level of random noise present.

Leakages from subsea oil and gas equipment cause substantial economic losses and damage to marine ecosystem,so it is essential to locate the source of the ***,due to the complexity and variability of the marine environment,the signals collected by hydrophone contain a variety of noises,which makes it challenging to extract useful signals for *** solve this problem,a hydrophone denoising algorithm is proposed based on variational modal decomposition(VMD)with grey wolf ***,the average envelope entropy is used as the fitness function of the grey wolf optimizer to find the optimal solution for the parameters K andα.Afterward,the VMD algorithm decomposes the original signal parameters to obtain the intrinsic mode functions(IMFs).Subsequently,the number of interrelationships between each IMF and the original signal was calculated,the threshold value was set,and the noise signal was removed to calculate the time difference using the valid signal obtained by ***,the arrival time difference is used to locate the origin of the *** localization accuracy of the method in finding leaks is investigated experimentally by constructing a simulated leak test rig,and the effectiveness and feasibility of the method are verified.

Whittle’s Index Based Sensor Scheduling for Multiprocess Systems Under DoS Attacks

In this paper,the authors consider how to design defensive countermeasures against DoS attacks for remote state estimation of multiprocess *** each system,a sensor will measure its state and transmits the data packets through an unreliable channel which is vulnerable to be jammed by an *** limited communication bandwidth,only a subset of sensors are allowed for data transmission,and how to select the optimal one to maximize the accuracy of remote state estimation is the focus of the proposed *** authors first formulate this problem as a Markov decision process and investigate the existence of optimal ***,the authors demonstrate the piecewise monotonicity structure of optimal *** the difficulty of obtaining an optimal policy of large-scale problems,the authors develop a suboptimal heuristic policy based on the aforementioned policy structure and Whittle’s ***,a closed form of the indices is derived in order to reduce implementation complexity of proposed scheduling policy and numerical examples are provided to illustrate the proposed developed results.
