Spectral selectivity in infrared thermal detection

A review is made of the physics and technology of spectrally selective thermal detectors,especially those operating at non-cryogenic *** background radiation noise fluctuations are rederived for arbitrary spectral *** absorption due to phonons and free carriers is discussed followed by a review of published works on artificial infrared absorption materials such as patterned grids,nanoparticles,plasmonic structures,metamaterials and ***,the literature of the spectral characteristics of broadband thermal detectors and spectrally selective thermal detectors is ***,the authors speculate on the directions that future research and development in the area will take regarding architectures,sensitivity and spectral characteristics.

Electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) sensors and photovoltaic power sources are being developed for a variety of defense and commercial applications. One of the critical technologies that will enhance both EO/IR sensor and photovoltaic module performance is the development of high quality nanostructure-based antireflection coatings. In this paper, we review our work on advanced antireflection structures that have been designed by using a genetic algorithm and fabricated by using oblique angle deposition. The antireflection coatings are designed for the wavelength range of 250 nm to 2500 nm and an incidence angle between 00 and 400. These nanostructured antireflection coatings are shown to enhance the optical transmission through transparent windows over a wide band of interest and minimize broadband reflection losses to less than one percent, a substantial improvement over conventional thin-film antireflection coating technologies.

The intrinsic ferromagnetism of CoBr2 bulk was investigated using DFT(density functional theory)combined with the full potential linear augmented plane wave method and Monte Carlo *** ground state of CoBr2 exhibits ferromagnetic behavior and a semiconductor *** used the generalized gradient approximation(GGA)and GGA+U(Hubbard correction)approximations to determinate the magnetic *** magnetic moment reached the experimental value and was in good agreement with the other theoretical *** value obtained was used as an input to a Monte Carlo study to calculate the thermal magnetization and magnetic hysteresis *** behavior was observed and was found to be due to an positive exchange *** results lead us to believe that this material could be a promising spintronic material.

We prove an existence result without assumptions on the growth of some nonlinear terms, and the existence of a renormalized solution. In this work, we study the existence of renormalized solutions for a class of nonlinear parabolic systems with three unbounded nonlinearities, in the form { b1（x,u1）/ t-div（a（x,t,u1,Du1））＋div（Ф1（u1））＋f1（x,u1,u2）=O in Q, b2（x,u2）/ t-div（a（x,t,u2,Du2））＋div（Ф2（u2））＋f2（x,u1,u2）=O in Q in the framework of weighted Sobolev spaces, where b（x,u） is unbounded function on u, the Carath6odory function ai satisfying the coercivity condition, the general growth condition and only the large monotonicity, the function Фi is assumed to be continuous on ]R and not belong to （Lloc1（Q））N.
