Objective:To evaluate the antioxidant activity of aqueous extract of Atoringa oleifeta ***) young leaves by in vivo as well as in vitro ***:In vitro study included estimation of total phenolic,total ilavonol,total flavonoid and total antioxidant power(FRAP assay).Tn addition, in vivo study was done with the identified most effective dose of 200 nig/kg of its lyophilized powder on normal and diabetic *** effect on different oxidative free radical scavenging enzymes,viz,superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase(CAT),glutathione-S-transferase(GST),lipid peroxide(LPO) contents were ***:Significant increase in activities of ***, GST while,a decrease in LPO content was ***,total phenolic,flavonoid and ilavonol contents in the extract were found to be 120 mg/g of CAK,40.5 mg/g of QEK and 12.12 mg/g of QE,*** the other *** assay results of *** leaves was(85.00±5.00)μM of Fe^+/g of extract ***:The significant antioxidant activities of *** leaves from both in vivo as well as in vitro studies suggests that the regular intake of its leaves through diet can protect normal as well as diabetic patients against oxidative damage.

Establishing two-stage interaction between fly ash and NaOH by X-ray and infrared analyses

The interaction of the fly ash and NaOH, in an open reflux hydrothermal system at 100℃, has been explored by several researchers and formation of fly ash zeolites has been confirmed based on the X-ray diffraction analysis of the residues. However, this method does not reveal much about the characteristic transitions （viz. elemental, electro-negativity and cation exchange capa- city） of the residues. In this situation, resorting to Fourier transform-infrared radiation （FT-IR） spectroscopy on the residues obtained from two-stage hydrothermal treatment process, described in this manuscript, appears to be a novel idea to establish transitions in chemical bonds （viz., -Si- OH-AI-, OH-Na, OH-A1-）, crystallinity and cation exchange capacity of these residues. Based on extensive studies, it has been demonstrated that FT-IR spectroscopy is extremely useful for 1） detection of chemical bonds in the residues, 2） evaluation of zeolites in the residues and 3） also establishing the superiority of the two-stage interac- tion of the fly ash with NaOH for synthesizing better fly ash zeolites （viz., Na-P1 and Hydroxysodalte） as compared to those obtained from the conventional single-stage treatment of the fly ash.

Comprehensive Analysis of Gender Classification Accuracy across Varied Geographic Regions through the Application of Deep Learning Algorithms to Speech Signals

This article presents an exhaustive comparative investigation into the accuracy of gender identification across diverse geographical regions,employing a deep learning classification algorithm for speech signal *** this study,speech samples are categorized for both training and testing purposes based on their geographical *** 1 comprises speech samples from speakers outside of India,whereas Category 2 comprises live-recorded speech samples from Indian *** speech samples are likewise classified into four distinct sets,taking into consideration both geographical origin and the language spoken by the ***,the results indicate a noticeable difference in gender identification accuracy among speakers from different geographical *** speakers,utilizing 52 Hindi and 26 English phonemes in their speech,demonstrate a notably higher gender identification accuracy of 85.75%compared to those speakers who predominantly use 26 English phonemes in their conversations when the system is trained using speech samples from Indian *** gender identification accuracy of the proposed model reaches 83.20%when the system is trained using speech samples from speakers outside of *** the analysis of speech signals,Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients(MFCCs)serve as relevant features for the speech *** deep learning classification algorithm utilized in this research is based on a Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory(BiLSTM)architecture within a Recurrent Neural Network(RNN)model.

Conductive electrodes are major components of flexible optoelectronic ***,existing materials are either very conductive but brittle(e.g.,ITO[indium tin-oxide]),or non-brittle but less conductive,with an environment-dependent conductivity(e.g.,PEDOT:PSS[poly-(3,4 ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonic acid)]).Here,we propose a new design that simultaneously takes advantage of both the high conductivity of ITO and the high flexibility of PEDOT:*** our design,a PEDOT:PSS interface is inserted between the film substrate and the ITO layer,creating a hybrid layered structure that retains both its high conductivity and high stability,when the film is *** rational behind the creation of this structure,is that PEDOT:PSS,used as an interface between the locally delaminated ITO layer and the substrate,substantially reduces the detrimental effects of cracks on the electrode’s *** results open the path for a new generation of transparent electrodes in advanced flexible devices.

Harmonic Domain Modelling of Space Vector Based STATCOM

This paper presents frequency domain method for harmonic analysis of space vector based STATCOM. Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) method is an advanced PWM method. It is a best method among all the PWM techniques. It provides a freedom in a switching cycle for placement space vector. In this paper, the SVPWM is used for switching of STATCOM. The harmonic (or frequency) domain is a steady-state form of harmonic analysis method, which represents converters to their harmonic spectra. This paper presents harmonic analysis by means of harmonic domain for space vector based Static shunt converter (STATCOM). Performance of the STATCOM is evaluated in harmonic domain simulation studies in MATLAB environment.

Dam-break Flood Simulation under Various Likely Scenarios and Mapping Using GIS:Case of a Proposed Dam on River Yamuna,India

The precision modeling of dam break floods can lead to formulation of proper emergency action plan to minimize flood impacts within the economic lifetime of the *** of GIS techniques in integration with hydrological modeling for mapping of the flood inundated areas can play a momentous role in further minimizing the risk and likely *** the present study,dam break analysis using DAMBRK model was performed under various likely *** Maximum Flood (PMF)calculated for a return period of 1000 years using deterministic approach was adopted for dam break analysis of the proposed dam under various combinations of breach *** available downstream river cross-sections data sets were used as input in the model to generate the downstream flood *** break flow depths generated by the DAMBRK model under various combinations of structural failure are subsequently plotted on Digital Elevation Model(DEM)of the downstream of dam site to map the likely affected *** simulation results reveals that in one particular case the flood without dam may be more intense if a rainfall of significant intensity takes place.

Dual split and dislocation——a variant of Schatzker type-I tibial plateau fracture: A case report

Schatzkter type-I tibial plateau fracture is a split fracture of the lateral tibial plateau in sagittal plane,consequent to valgus impaction caused by low velocity of ***,a deep understanding of the different columns of the tibial plateau and patho-mechanisms of the injury led to the unmasking of atypical fractures around the tibial *** have encountered 2 cases with unusual fracture pattern of the lateral tibial condyle caused by road traffic *** fracture pattern and severity of injury deviate from the original description of Schatzker type 1;in view of dual plane split,there is rotation of the posterolateral column fragment along its sagittal plane plus grade-III medial collateral ligament *** patients were initially treated with knee spanning external fixator and after a latency of 5 days,definitive fracture specific fixation was done,combined with repair of grade-III medial collateral ligament *** the 6 months follow-up both the patients achieved satisfactory knee functions(knee society score case 1:100 and case 2:92)and returned to their *** severity of fracture pattern and displacement as described should prompt for examination of associated ligament *** of timely diagnosis,early and appropriate care promised an excellent function outcome even in such a severe nature of knee *** prompt the description of injury pattern we coined the name"dual split and dislocation"of lateral tibial plateau,as a complex injury variant of split fracture of lateral tibial plateau fracture.

On Cosmic Ray and Geomagnetic Response to Coronal Mass Ejections （CMEs）

A catalogue of type II bursts and the associated coronal mass ejections （CMEs） observed by the solar and heliospheric observatory （SOHO） mission is used to select the twenty three CMEs events with CME speed equal to and less than 450 km/sec （i.e., less than and equal to the average solar wind speed） during 1997-2008. Our observational results clearly indicate that even slow speed CMEs are capable to produce the cosmic ray and geomagnetic disturbances on day to day basis. The depression in cosmic ray intensity is larger three days after the arrival of the CMEs along with the maximum disturbance in geomagnetic activity on the same day （i.e., after three days from the arrival of CMEs）. Fluctuations in cosmic ray intensity and the geomagnetic activity are also observed before the arrival of the CMEs.

An approach based on deep learning for Indian sign language translation

Purpose–According to the Indian Sign Language Research and Training Centre(ISLRTC),India has approximately 300 certified human interpreters to help people with hearing *** paper aims to address the issue of Indian Sign Language(ISL)sentence recognition and translation into semantically equivalent English text in a signer-independent ***/methodology/approach–This study presents an approach that translates ISL sentences into English text using the MobileNetV2 model and Neural Machine Translation(NMT).The authors have created an ISL corpus from the Brown corpus using ISL grammar rules to perform machine *** authors’approach converts ISL videos of the newly created dataset into ISL gloss sequences using the MobileNetV2 model and the recognized ISL gloss sequence is then fed to a machine translation module that generates an English sentence for each ISL ***–As per the experimental results,pretrained MobileNetV2 model was proven the best-suited model for the recognition of ISL sentences and NMT provided better results than Statistical Machine Translation(SMT)to convert ISL text into English *** automatic and human evaluation of the proposed approach yielded accuracies of 83.3 and 86.1%,*** limitations/implications–It can be seen that the neural machine translation systems produced translations with repetitions of other translated words,strange translations when the total number of words per sentence is increased and one or more unexpected terms that had no relation to the source text on *** most common type of error is the mistranslation of places,numbers and *** this has little effect on the overall structure of the translated sentence,it indicates that the embedding learned for these few words could be ***/value–Sign language recognition and translation is a crucial step toward improving communication between the deaf and the rest of *** of the shortage of hum
