Objective: To determine the prevalence of HBsAg and hepatitis C virus (HCV) antibody transport among female sex workers (FSW) in Bangui. Patients and Methods: All FSW carriers of HBsAg and/or anti-HCV Antibodies were collected in a 6-month cross-sectional analytical study. Campylobacter is a leading causal agent of bacterial enteritis worldwide, but its prevalence is not well documented in Ghanaian hospitals. This study isolated Campylobacter species from patients with enteritis or urinary tract infections attending Komfo Anokye Teaching hospital and assessed the antibiogram profile of isolated species. Two hundred and two (202) in-patients and outpatients samples of all age groups diagnosed with enteritis or UTI infections were analyzed from May 2013 to August 2013. Campylobacter species were detected using selective agar (mCCDA) and confirmed on API Campy system (bioMérieux, France), with disk diffusion method determined the resistance profile of the species. Of the 128 enteritis and 74 UTI patients samples analyzed, 26 and 9 isolates were respectively confirmed as Campylobacter spp. giving a prevalence of 17.3% (35/202). Species identified were C. jejuni (40%), C. jejuni sub sp. doylei (2.8%), C. coli (37%) and C. lari (20%). Resistance was 92.3% - 100% each to erythromycin and the β-lactams, 61.5% - 86.7% to trimethoprim sulfamethoxazole, 92.3% - 93.3% to tetracycline, 46.2% - 80% to chloramphenicol, 0% - 60% to aminoglycosides and 0% to imipenem. Multidrug resistance of 97.1% was detected among species. Empirical treatment of Campylobacter enteritis with erythromycin and other common and cheap drugs may result in treatment failure in the face of high level resistance observed among the Campylobacter species.

Introduction: Every year, nearly 4 million people pass away from acute respiratory infections. 98% of such deaths are due to lower respiratory tract infections. Even though studies have been carried on lower respiratory infections x-ray aspects in Mali, very few studies have been done to reveal bacteriological and virological evidence of this disease. Materials and methods: It is about a descriptive prospective study carried out from January to December 2018 having involved patients of all ages, coming for medical consultation at the Yirimadio Community-based health center as well as children from 6 months to 15 years old coming at the pediatric department of UhC hôpital du Mali for a lower respiratory infection. They had all undergone chest X-ray and a PCR. The purpose: of this work is to study etiological and x-ray aspects of acute lower respiratory infections at the Yirimadio Community-based health Center and at the UhC pediatric department of hôpital du Mali. Findings: From January to December 2018, we recorded a frequency of 1.19%. The age group 0 - 5 years was the most represented (64.5%) with a sex ratio of 0.97 for women. Cough was the most common clinical sign (98.7%) followed by fever (58.9%). Standard frontal chest X-ray was pathological in 70% of our patients. It was bronchitis in 75.4% of cases, pneumonia (13.5%), and bronchopneumonia (12.3%). PCR positive was in 83.9% of patients. It revealed a co-infection in more than half of the patients (52.5%), bacterial infection (16.1%) and viral infection (15.2%). Pathogens isolated ranked by frequency were Streptococcus pneumoniaa (87.6%) followed by Staphylococcus aureus (24.9%) and human rhinovirus (17%). The most common viral causes were human rhinovirus (17%), followed by influenza A and B virus (7%) and human parainfluenza virus (7%). 慢性hCV感染患者F蛋白的抗原相关性

The hepatitis C virus (hCV) F protein is a recently described, frameshift prod uct of hCVcore encoding sequence of genotype 1a. Its function and antigenic prop erties are unknown. Using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, we assessed the pr evalence of anti-F antibodies in 154 patients chronically infected with hCV, 65 patients with other liver diseases, and 121 healthy controls. For this purpose, we expressed a highly purified hCV F recombinant protein from hCV genotype 1a i n Escherichia coli. Because the F protein shares the 10 first amino acids with the core protein, the anti-hCV F response was also assessed by a F recombinant p rotein deleted of its 10 first amino acids >. Ninety-six (62%) of the 154 hCV serum samples reacted with the complete F recombinant protein, whereas 39 (25%) showed a weaker anti-(1-10)F reactivity and 150 (97%) had anti-core antibodies. No reactivity against F, (1-10)F, or core was detected in any of the controls. To exclude a potential cr oss-reaction of anti-F antibodies with anti-core antibodies, a specific enzym e-linked immunosorbent assay was performed for anti-core antibodies. The speci ficity of anti-F antibodies was confirmed using an F synthetic peptide. The pre valence of anti-F antibodies did not correlate with hCV RNA serum level, genoty pe, or stage of liver disease. Sequence analysis from 8 anti-F-positive and 5 anti-F-negative serum samples did not reveal any particular difference potenti ally accounting for their respective anti-F responses. In conclusion, the F pro tein elicits specific antibodies in 62%of individuals chronically infected with hCV; such anti-F response does not seem to be affected by the F sequence heter ogeneity.

目的对常见的甲真菌病分离菌株进行细胞外水解酶活性测定，以期发现可能与甲真菌病发病相关的毒力因子。方法诱导培养基为含甲碎片的培养基，受试菌株包括常见皮肤癣菌、非皮肤癣菌的标准菌株及临床分离自甲真菌病的红色毛癣菌。细胞外水解酶谱的测定体系采用法国生物-梅里埃公司的酶活性测试试剂盒APIZYM。结果与非皮肤癣菌相比，来自于含甲碎片培养基的皮肤癣菌的酯酶、酯脂肪酶、N-乙酰-β-氨基葡萄糖苷酶和a-甘露糖苷酶活性增加（P〈0．05）。与非红色毛癣菌相比，来自于含甲碎片培养基的红色毛癣菌N-乙酰-β-氨基葡萄糖苷酶活性升高（P〈0．05）。临床评分指数不同积分段甲真菌病的红色毛癣菌临床分离株除萘酚-AS—BI-磷酸水解酶外，其余酶的活性差异均无统计学意义（P〉0．05）。结论在特定环境中，水解酶的活性与菌株的种类有关，并对甲真菌病的临床表现可能有一定影响。
