The Jiangmen Under.r.und Neutr.no Obser.ator.(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-pur.ose under.r.und liquid scintillator.sphere as its main *** of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for.8B solar.neutr.no measurements,such as its low-ener.y threshold,high ener.y resolution compared with water.Cherenkov detector.,and much lar.er.tar.et mass compared with previous liquid scintillator.*** this paper.we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for.detecting^8B solar.neutr.nos via the neutr.no-electr.n elastic scatter.ng pr.cess.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for.the recoil electr.n ener.y is found to be achievable,assuming that the intr.nsic r.dioactive backgr.und^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator.can be contr.lled to 10^(-17)g/*** ten year. of data acquisition,appr.ximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 backgr.und events are *** lar.e sample will enable an examination of the distor.ion of the recoil electr.n spectr.m that is dominated by the neutr.no flavor.tr.nsfor.ation in the dense solar.matter.which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electr.n spectr. and the predictions of the standar. three-flavor.neutr.no oscillation *** m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can pr.vide evidence of neutr.no oscillation in the Ear.h at appr.ximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measur.ng the non-zer. signal r.te var.ation with respect to the solar.zenith ***,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar.neutr.nos to a precision of 20% or.better.depending on the centr.l value,and to sub-per.ent precision using reactor.antineutr.nos.A compar.son of these two measurements fr.m the same detector.will help under.tand the cur.0}nt mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)repor.ed by solar.neutr.no exper.ments and the KamLAND exper.ment.
