The effects of stress components on nucleation sites and propagation directions of stress cor- rosion cracks in brass were investigated with specimens under mode Ⅱ and mode Ⅲ loadings. The results indicated that under mode Ⅱ loading,stress corrosion cracks nucleated on the site with maximum normal stress component and propagated along the plane perpendieular to the maximum normal stress,under mode Ⅲ loading,the stress corrosion crack was not evident on the 4.°plane due to the general corrosion in aqueous solution with high NH_4.H concentra- tion,while stress corroded in aqueous solution with low NH_4.H concentration, numerous cracks with spacings of 10—150μm were found on the 4.°plane with maximum normal stress and no stress corrosion cracks was observed on the plane with maximum shear stress.

A new multisoliton solution to the(2+1)-dimensional KdV equation is obtained by means of the truncatedPainleve expansion method and a direct ansatz *** new exact solution is periodic in the propagating directionx and exponentially decaying in y and thus it is called periodic solitons.A typical spatial structure of it is illustrated bythe figures.

We investigate the peak structure in the interlayer conductance of Moirésuperlattices using a tunneling theory wedeveloped *** theoretical results predict that,due to the resonance of two different partial waves,the doublepeakstructure can appear in the curve of the interlayer conductance versus twist ***,we study the influencesof the model parameters,i.e.,the chemical potential of electrodes,the thickness of Moirésuperlattice,and the strength ofinterface potential,on the peak structure of the interlayer *** particular,the parameter dependence of the peakstructure is concluded via a phase diagram,and the physical meanings of the phase diagram is ***,thepotential applications of the present work is discussed.

By virtue of the operator Hermite polynomial method [Fan H Y and Zhan D H 2014.Chin. Phys. B 23 060301] we find a new special function which is useful in quantum optics theory, whose expansion involves both power-series and Hermite polynomials, i.e.,min（m,n）∑l=0^min（m,n）n!m!（-1）^l/l!（n-1）!（m-l）!/Hn-l（x）y^m-l≡ n,m（x,y）.By virtue of the operator Hermite polynomial method and the technique of integration within ordered product of operators（IWOP） we derive its generating function. The circumstance in which this new special function appears and is applicable is considered.

The objective of this paper is to discuss the Chameleon Brans–Dicke gravity with non-minimally matter coupling of scalar field. We take modified Holographic Ricci dark energy model in this gravity with its energy density in interaction with energy density of cold dark matter. We assume power-law ansatz for scale factor and scalar field to discuss potential as well as coupling functions in the evolving universe. These reconstructed functions are plotted versus scalar field and time for different values of power component of scale factor n. We observe that potential and coupling functions represent increasing behavior, in particular, consistent results for a specific value of n. Finally, we have examined validity of the generalized second law of thermodynamics and we have observed its validity for all values of n.

Recently, motivated by the pioneer work in revealing the small-world effect and scale-free property of various real-life networks, many scientists devote themselves to studying complex networks. One of the ultimate goals is to understand how the topological structures affect the dynamics upon networks. In this paper, we give a brief review on the studies of epidemic dynamics on complex networks, including the description of classical epidemic models, the epidemic spread on small-world and scale-free networks, and network immunization. Finally, perspectives and some interesting problems are proposed.
