The network-on-chip (NoC) architecture is a main factor affecting the system performance of complicated multi-processor systems-on-chips (MPSoCs).To evaluate the effects of the NoC architectures on communication efficiency,several kinds of techniques have been developed,including various simulators and analytical *** simulators are accurate but time consuming,especially in large space explorations of diverse network configurations;in contrast,the analytical models are fast and flexible,providing alternative methods for performance *** this paper,we propose a general analytical model to esti-mate the communication performance for arbitrary NoCs with wormhole routing and virtual channel flow *** resolve the inherent dependency of successive links occupied by one packet in wormhole routing,we propose the routing path decomposition approach to generating a series of ordered link *** we use the traditional queuing system to derive the fine-grained transmission latency for each network *** to our experiments,the proposed analytical model provides a good approximation of the average packet latency to the simulation results,and estimates the network throughput precisely under various NoC configurations and ***,the analytical model runs about 10 5 times faster than the cycle-accurate NoC *** applications of the model including bottleneck detection and virtual channel allocation are also presented.

The matching law is one of the basic empirical laws in decision theory,and it states that a subject’s preference to optional targets depends on which choices are *** this paper,we study the possible mechanisms that explain why subjects’ decisions often obey this *** the basis of reinforcement learning theory,we put forward a decision-making model in which the policy is updated by a policy parameter,and the model might be implemented in the brain through the prefrontal cortex and the basal ganglia neural *** on this model,an algorithm that satisfies the matching law is derived under some simple *** analysis and simulation results show that the decision behavior achieved by the algorithm obeys the matching *** addition,the matching behaviors in two classical experiments are reproduced using the *** results provide a reasonable strategy for the matching law and a useful computational tool for rewarded decision-making tasks.

The functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) based on blood oxygen level dependent (BOLD) contrast has emerged as one of the most potent noninvasive tools for mapping brain function and has been widely used to explore physiological, pathological changes and mental activity in the brain. Exploring the nature and property of BOLD signal has recently attracted more attentions. Despite that great progress has been made in investigation of the characteristics and neurophysiological basis, the exact nature of BOLD signal remains unclear. In this paper we discuss the characteristics of BOLD signals, the nonlinear BOLD response to external stimuli and the relation between BOLD signals and neural electrophysiological recordings. Furthermore, we develop our new opinions regarding nonlinear BOLD response and make some perspectives on future study.

Economic load dispatch (ELD) is an important optimization task in power systems. In the previous works, various researchers attempted to address this problem by both mathmatical and heuristic optimization algorithms. However, there are still two practically important issues that have not attracted sufficient attention: 1) the stability of these algorithms cannot be effectively ensured; 2) the performance of these algorithms on large scale ELD optimization tasks remains to be unsatisfactory. CLPSO is an effective global optimization algorithm. To strengthen the convergence ability of CLPSO, the sequential quadratic programming (SQP) is introduced into it. This results in a new algorithm hybrid of comprehensive learning particle swarm optimization and sequential quadratic programming (SQP-CLPSO). To assess the performance of SQP-CLPSO, it is compared with several state-of-the-art evolutionary algorithms (EAs) on the classical ELD optimization problems. Experimental results show that SQP-CLPSO has very good abilities of convergence, diversity maintainence and scalability, which make it suitable for complex ELD problems.

Terahertz transmission spectra through both single-layered and double-layered sub-wavelength metal hole arrays were calculated using rigorous mode-matching *** dispersion relations of the single-layered and double-layered metal hole arrays were obtained by FDTD *** are three anomalous peaks in the spectrum of the double-layered metal hole array,which arise from the three surface electromagnetic modes appearing in the dispersion *** comparing the transmission spectra and the dispersion relations of the single-layered and double-layered metal hole arrays,it was found that the two surface electromagnetic modes at higher frequencies are introduced by the single-layered metal hole array,while the one at lower frequencies is introduced by the double-layered metal hole *** validity of the analysis was qualitatively verified by the experimental *** structure can be finely designed for potential applications,such as wideband filtering.

The vortex self-organization is investigated in this paper by four groups of numerical experiments within the framework of quasi-geostrophic model, and based on the experimental results two types of possible mechanisms for vortex self-organization are suggested. The meso-scale to-pography may enable separated vortices to merge into a larger scale vortex; and the interaction of meso-γ and meso-β scale systems may make separated vortices to self organize a typhoon-like vor-tex circulation.

Considering the phenomenon of Latch-up in CMOS device,some patterns of manifestation about Latch-up in electronic system are analyzed with three actual circuits,meanwhile the correlative solving methods are also provided. To avoid Latch-up,some general principles are proposed. The analyzing and solving processes derived from practical system design are verified simple and ef-fective in large number of products,and to some extend have general reference value in anti-latch-up design of application systems.

Efficient reconfigurable field programmable gate array （FPGA） architectures for the MD6-224/256/3.4/512 Hash algorithm are proposed in this article. The basic iterative compact design requires 923.ALMs and achieves a throughput ranging from 225 Mbit/s to 3.4 Mbit/s at a maximum frequency of 198 MHz. The 3.-step-urtrolled high-throughput design requires 7 090 ALMs and achieves a throughput ranges from 5 776 Mbit/s to 9 490 Mbit/s at a maximum frequency of 173.MHz. The simulation results show that high flexibility and efficient FPGA implementation of the MD6 Hash function is achieved.

If there exists a simple graph G on n vertices having degree sequence π such that G contains Cr (a cycle of length r) as a subgraph, then π is said to be potentially Cr-graphic. Li and Yin (2004) posed the following problem: characterize π = (d1, d2, . . . , dn) such that π is potentially Cr-graphic for r 3.and n r. Rao and Rao (1972) and Kundu (1973. answered this problem for the case of n = r. In this paper, this problem is solved completely.
