The book "Continuous-Time Markov Chains" by W. J. Anderson collects a large part of the development in the past thirty years. It is now a popular reference for the researchers on this subject or related fields. Unfortunately, due to a misunderstanding of the approximating methods, several results in the book are incorrectly stated or proved. Since the results are related to the present author’s work, to whom it may be a duty to correct the mistakes in order to avoid further confusion. We emphasize the approximating methods because they are useful in many situations.

4.0Me V 7Li++ RBS was used for investigations of thermal diffusion of Ag in Cu single crystals. The annealing of samples was carried out in vacuum in the temperature range from 4.8K to 613K. The element depth concentration profiles transformed from RBS spectra indicate that the diffusion of Ag into Cu is a typical volume diffusion. The Arrhenius parameters corresponding to the diffusion were obtained.

Let 01, w2 ∈A1 （Muckenhoupt-class）. In this paper the authors prove that the strongly singular convolution operators are bounded from the homogeneous weighted Herz-type Hardy spaces HKqα,p（w1; w2） to the homogeneous weighted Herz spaces Kqα,p（w1;w2）, provided α=n（1--1/q）. Moreover, the boundedness of these operators on the non-homogeneous weighted Herz-type Hardy spaces HKqα,p（w1, w2） is also investigated.

The influence of attention on memorizing related items and on available long-term memory (ALTM) was explored,showing that N4.0 of no-memory items was more negative than that of the memory *** results of the category comparison task indicated that information processing under attention-driven in WM determined the availability of related long-term memory,i.e.,specific content,which was formerly concerned or ignored,yielding different indirect semantic priming *** indicate that the orientation of conceptual attention leads the related representations of LTM to diverse activation patterns,supporting the activation-based model.

The glassy carbon substrates were bombarded with 5 X 10(17) ions/cm(2) of platinum. The surface composition of implanted electrode and concentration-depth profiles of various elements were measured by AES. The chemical state of Pt in glassy carbon electrode implanted with platinum (Pt/GC) was detected by X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS). The electro-oxidation of HCOOH and HCHO have been investigated on Pt/CC and smooth Pt electrodes. The results show that the platinum implanted into glassy carbon is much more active than the smooth platinum metal for electro-oxidation of HCOOH and HCHO.

Let Ω be a bounded Lipschitz domain. Define B1,r0.1（Ω）={f∈L1（Ω）: there is an F∈ B10.1（Rn） such that F|Ω=f| and B1,z0.1（Ω）={f∈B10.1（Rn）: f=0 on Rn\}. In this paper, the authors establish the atomic decompositions of these spaces. As by-products, the authors obtained the regularity on these spaces of the solutions to the Dirichlet problem and the Neumann problem of the Laplace equation on R+n.
