In this paper a uniform calculus-based approach for synthesizing monitors checking correctness properties specified by a large variety of logics at runtime is provided, including future and past time logics, interval logics, state machine and parameterized temporal logics. Thus we can synthesize monitors from the logical specification in an uniform fashion to incrementally analysis the current execution traces during test and real run. The monitor detects both good and bad prefix of a particular kind, namely those that are informative for the property under investigation.

Ships were modelled as moving pressure disturbances on the free surface of a shallow water basin in the present paper. The moving pressure generating waves were subjected to the reflection of land boundaries and the radiation of open boundaries. This paper proposed and examined a wave equation model (WEM) to solve the shallow water equations with moving surface pressures simulating ship waves in a bounded shallow water region. The Galerkin finite element method was used to solve a second order wave equation for the free surface elevations and the hydrodynamic pressure of the ship bottom simultaneously. Horizontal velocities were obtained from the momentum equations. Numerical solutions of Series 60 C B=0.6 ships moving with the depth Froude number of F h= 0.6, 1.0, 1.3 in a rectangular shallow water harbor were investigated. Three dimensional surface elevation profiles and the depth averaged horizontal velocities were analysed. The numerical results characterised very well the ship waves in shallow water. Strong boundary reflection waves were found in the case of high depth Froude number (F h=1.3). Waves generated by the interactions of two ships moving in the same directions and in the opposite directions were also numerically investigated in the present study.

Three dimensional structure of baroclinic wavy jet was experimentally studied in rotating annulus subject to a negative radial temperature gradient. General features of wavy surface jet in the system were obtained. Based on the precise measurements of velocity distribution of the jet with LDV and the three dimensional temperature field in the convective system, three dimensional thermodynamic structures of jet were gained, and by using a correlation of three dimensional disturbed temperature, the unstable mechanism of disturbed temperature of baroclinic fluid in a rotating system was further discussed.

This article presents a theory about the growth mechanism of bubble-screw dislocation of nodular graphite. Normally speaking, the crystallizing procedure of most nodular graphite is as follows: firstly, graphite generates nuclei on bubbles and fills them (mainly in the way of screw dislocation) forming the complete nuclei of nodular graphite-graphite bubble nuclei. Then, graphite grows up in the way of screw dislocation. Two important conditions concerning the production of nodular graphite are: (a) there is a relatively big interfacial energy between ferro liquid and graphite, and the one between ferro liquid and graphite prismatic plane is bigger than that between ferro liquid and graphite basal plane; (b) there are a certain amount of micro-bubbles in the melt.

Effects of combined additions of tungsten and molybdenum on the creep properties of Fe3AI-based alloys have been investigated. results show that combined additions of tungsten and molybdenum increase significantly the creep rupture life of the Fe3Al base alloys at high temperature. TEM analysis of the alloys containing tungsten plus molybdenum indicates that both solid-solution strengthening and precipitation harden- ing make the significant increase of creep rupture life.
