Exercise has emerged as fundamental therapeutic medicine in the management of *** improves health-related outcomes,including quality of life,neuromuscular strength,physical function,and body composition,and it is associated with a lower risk of disease recurrence and increased ***,exercise during or post cancer treatments is safe,can ameliorate treatment-related side effects,and may enhance the effectiveness of chemotherapy and radiation *** date,traditional resistance training(RT)is the most used RT modality in exercise ***,alternative training modes,such as eccentric,cluster set,and blood flow restriction are gaining increased *** training modalities have been extensively investigated in both athletic and clinical populations(e.g.,age-related frailty,cardiovascular disease,type 2 diabetes),showing considerable benefits in terms of neuromuscular strength,hypertrophy,body composition,and physical ***,these training modes have only been partially or not at all investigated in cancer ***,this study outlines the benefits of these alternative RT methods in patients with *** evidence in cancer populations is sparse,we provide a robust rationale for the possible implementation of certain RT methods that have shown positive results in other clinical ***,we provide clinical insights for research that may guide future RT investigations in patients with cancer and suggest clear practical applications for targeted cancer populations and related benefits.

Cancer is a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide,and the incidence is increasing,highlighting the need for effective strategies to treat this *** has emerged as fundamental therapeutic medicine in the management of cancer,associated with a lower risk of recur-rence and increased *** avenues of research demonstrate reduction in growth,proliferation,and increased apoptosis of cancer cells,including breast,prostate,colorectal,and lung cancer,when cultured by serum collected after exercise in vitro(i.e.,the cultivation of cancer cell lines in an experimental setting,which simpliﬁes the biological system and provides mechanistic insight into cell responses).The underlying mechanisms of exercise-induced cancer suppressive effects may be attributed to the alteration in circulating factors,such as skeletal muscle-induced cytokines(i.e.,myokines)and ***,exercise-induced tumor suppressive effects and detailed information about training interventions are not well investigated,constraining more precise application of exercise medicine within clinical *** date,it remains unclear what role different training modes(i.e.,resistance and aerobic training)as well as volume and intensity have on exercise-condi-tioned serum and its effects on cancer ***,the available evidence is that a single bout of aerobic training at moderate to vigorous intensity has cancer suppressive effects,while for chronic training interventions,exercise volume appears to be an inﬂuential candidate driving cancer inhibitory effects regardless of training *** for future research investigating training modes,volume and intensity are provided to further our understanding of the effects of exercise-conditioned serum on cancer cells.

The construction of large software systems is always achieved through assembly of independently written components -- program modules. For these software components to work together, they must share a common set of data types and principles for representing structured data such as arrays of values and files. This common set of tools for creating and operating on data objects is provided by the infrastructure of the computer system： the hardware, operating system and runtime code. Because the nature and properties of these tools are crucial for correct operation of software components and their inter-operation, it is essential to have a precise specification that may be used for verifying correctness of application software on one hand, and to verify correctness of system behavior on the other. We call such a specification a program execution model （PXM）. It is evident that the properties of the PXM implemented by a computer system can have serious impact on the ability of application programmers to practice modular software construction. This paper discusses the concept of program execution models and presents a set of principles that a PXM must satisfy to provide a sound basis for modular software construction. Because parallel program execution on computer systems with many processing units is an essential part of contemporary computing environments, the expression of parallelism and modular software construction using components involving parallel operations is included in this treatment. The conclusion is that it is possible to build computer systems that implement a PXM within which any parallel program may be used, unmodified, as a component for building more substantial parallel programs.

Outburst of coal and gas represents a significant risk to the health and safety of mine personnel working in development and longwall production face *** have been over 878 outburst events recorded in twenty-two Australian underground coal *** outburst incidents have been associated with abnormal geological *** of Australian outburst incidents and mining experience in conditions where gas content was above current threshold levels are presented and *** experience suggests that for gas con-tent below 9.0 m^3/t,mining in carbon dioxide(CO2)rich seam gas conditions does not pose a greater risk of outburst than mining in ch4 rich seam gas *** experience also suggests that where no abnormal geological structures are present that mining in areas with gas content greater than the current accepted threshold levels can be undertaken with no discernible increase in outburst *** current approach to determining gas content threshold limits in Australian mines has been effective in prevent-ing injury from outburst,however operational experience suggests the current method is overly conser-vative and in some cases the threshold limits are low to the point that they provide no significant reduction in outburst *** factors that affect outburst risk,such as gas pressure,coal toughness and stress and geological structures are presently not incorporated into outburst threshold limits adopted in Australian *** factors and the development of an outburst risk index applicable to Australian underground coal mining conditions are the subject of ongoing research.

This study combines the thermodynamic analysis of a polygeneration system along with the numerical modelling of the thermal behavior of geothermal reservoirs in Mexico to exploit their *** reservoir was modeled as a porous medium assuming a five-spot well configuration and local thermal *** heat conduction-convection along with the Laplace equations were solved to compute temperature distributions,the useful life and the optimum distance between injection-extraction *** predicted temperature and pressure of the geothermal fluid at the outlet of the reservoir were exploited in the polygeneration system consisting of:(1)a Rankine cycle,(2)an absorption refrigeration cycle,and(3)a heat *** developed approach allows calculating both the optimal distance between injection-extraction wells and the global(utilization)efficiency of six arrangements(each composed by a reservoir connected to a polygeneration system)by assuming that reservoirs have a lifespan of 30 *** also show that:(a)due to the low efficiency of the Rankine cycle,very little thermal energy is converted into electrical one;(b)not only the temperature and the size are important when evaluating the power production performance of reservoirs,but also the permeability plays a fundamental role;(c)the first law efficiency of the polygeneration system ranges from 41.9%to 43.7%;(d)the utilization efficiency of the six arrangements lies in the range between 25.8%and 31%.

Electronic Absorption Spectroscopy of H2X （X=O, Te, Po）： Theoretical Treatment of Spin-Orbit Effects

The electronic spectroscopy of H2X （X=O, Te, Po） was investigated by means of spinorbit configuration interaction （EPCISO） and restricted active space state interaction （SORASSI）. The transition energies to the low-lying singlet and triplet states of H2O, in which the SO interaction is zero, compare rather well with the experimental data as well as to other theoretical values. The theoretical electronic absorption spectrum is characterized by three allowed transitions A^1B1 （2px（O）→σ^＊g/3s（O））, B^1A1（σg→σ^＊g/3s（O）） and A^1S2（σg→σ^＊u） calculated at 7.68, 9.94, and 11.72 eV, respectively. The theoretical absorption spectra of H2X （X=Te, Po） are shifted to the red with the A^1B1 （npx（X）→σ^＊g） states calculated at 5.06 eV （H2Te） and 4.40 eV （H2Po） and the A^1B2 （σg→σ^＊u） states calculated at 7.89 eV （H2Te） and 7.77 eV （H2Po）. The largest SO splitting amounts to 0.34 eV and is found for the lowest a^3A1 of H2Po. In H2Te the SO effects are still negligible with a maximum splitting of 0.04 eV for the lowest a^3B2. The two methods lead to comparable results but the EPCISO approach depends strongly on the reference wavefunction.
