This article examines Block A,the first block-style building in Heybeliada Sanatorium in *** purpose of this research is to understand its architectural and spatial development and discuss how in fact it was a“prototype”of Turkish *** with a three-step methodology(documentation/evaluation/results)this research conducts architectural and spatial analysis on Block *** sources like architectural documentation and restitution drawings,the writings of the institution’s head doctor Tevfik Ismail Gökçe,periodicals on tuberculosis(TB),as well as pertinent literature are *** findings demonstrate that Block A’s development(1924—1945)was the result of knowledge transfer that introduced the universal sanatorium design principles,spatial experiments,adaptation to sociocultural norms,and trial-and-error *** only it had a major impact on shaping of the second block-type building in the complex,the“model”Block B,but it also became exemplary of the subsequent Turkish *** originality of this article is its exploration of the changing and evolving Block A in its resonation with the cultural tensions of Turkey’s modernization *** was established via the assessment of budgetary issues,medical developments and climatic experiments,the social issue of scarcity of TB beds in the country,spatial practices to separate the sexes as reflections of local traditions and culture in the shaping of spaces.

Advanced Air Mobility(AAM)has emerged as a pioneering concept designed to optimize the efficacy and ecological sustainability of air *** core objective is to provide highly automated air transportation services for passengers or cargo,operating at low altitudes within urban,suburban,and rural *** seeks to enhance the efficiency and environmental viability of the aviation sector by revolutionizing the way air travel is *** a complex aviation environment,traffic management and control are essential technologies for safe and effective AAM *** of the most difficult obstacles in the envisioned AAM systems is vehicle coordination at merging points and *** escalating demand for air mobility services,particularly within urban areas,poses significant complexities to the execution of such *** this study,we propose a novel multi-agent reinforcement learning(MARL)approach to efficiently manage high-density AAM operations in structured *** approach provides effective guidance to AAM vehicles,ensuring conflict avoidance,mitigating traffic congestion,reducing travel time,and maintaining safe ***,intelligent learning-based algorithms are developed to provide speed guidance for each AAM vehicle,ensuring secure merging into air corridors and safe passage through *** validate the effectiveness of our proposed model,we conduct training and evaluation using BlueSky,an open-source air traffic control simulation *** the simulation of thousands of aircraft and the integration of real-world data,our study demonstrates the promising potential of MARL in enabling safe and efficient AAM *** simulation results validate the efficacy of our approach and its ability to achieve the desired outcomes.

BACKGROUND Urethral stricture is a condition that often develops with trauma and results in narrowing of the urethral *** endoscopic methods are mostly used in its treatment,it has high recurrence ***,open urethroplasty is recommended after unsuccessful endoscopic *** To investigate the risk factors associated with urethral stricture *** The data of male patients who underwent internal urethrotomy for urethral stricture between January 2017 and January 2023 were retrospectively *** data,comorbidities,preoperative haemogram,and biochemical values obtained from peripheral blood and operative data were *** were divided into two groups in terms of recurrence development;recurrence and *** recorded data were compared between the two *** A total of 303 patients were included in the *** mean age of the patients was 66.6±13.6 *** mean duration of recurrence development was 9.63±9.84(min-max:1-39)months in the recurrence *** did not occur in non-recurrence group throughout the follow-up period with an average time of 44.15±24.07(min-max:12-84)*** the comparison of both groups,the presence of diabetes mellitus(DM),hypertension(HT),and multiple comorbidi-ties were significantly higher in the recurrence(+)group(P=0.038,P=0.012,P=0.013).Blood group,postoperative use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs,preoperative cystostomy,cause of stricture,iatrogenic cause of stricture,location and length of stricture,indwelling urinary cathater size and day of catheter removal did not differ between the two *** statistically significant difference was observed between the two groups in terms of age,uroflowmetric maximum flow rate value,hemo-gram parameters,aspartate aminotransferase(AST),alanine aminotransferase(ALT),fasting blood sugar,creati-nine,glomerular filtration rate,neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio,platelet-lymphocyte ratio,lymphocyte-

采用光化学反应研究了铜渣中Cu和Fe的溶解行为。实验采用石英玻璃夹套,在玻璃反应釜中间歇进行,在反应釜下埋入紫外线灯,并采用玻璃管作为送风装置。研究了不同波长UVA(365 nm)、UVB(311 nm)、UVC(254 nm)和真空UV光(185 nm)在浸出液中的行为。所有实验在相同条件下,在有和没有紫外线灯的情况下进行比较。研究了自由基形成机制对浸出环境的适应性及其在氧化溶液介质浸出中的可用性。在紫外光(185 nm)和非紫外光条件下,铜的提取率分别为85.1%和70.7%。综上所述,在紫外(185 nm)光反应器体系中,铜渣在最佳条件下的金属溶解率比无紫外光反应器体系效率更高。光化学反应器是使其适应湿法冶金应用和检验工艺的新途径。

All-optical image denoising using a diffractive visual processor

Image denoising,one of the essential inverse problems,targets to remove noise/artifacts from input *** general,digital image denoising algorithms,executed on computers,present latency due to several iterations implemented in,e.g.,graphics processing units(GPUs).While deep learning-enabled methods can operate non-iteratively,they also introduce latency and impose a significant computational burden,leading to increased power ***,we introduce an analog diffractive image denoiser to all-optically and non-iteratively clean various forms of noise and artifacts from input images–implemented at the speed of light propagation within a thin diffractive visual processor that axially spans<250×λ,whereλis the wavelength of *** all-optical image denoiser comprises passive transmissive layers optimized using deep learning to physically scatter the optical modes that represent various noise features,causing them to miss the output image Field-of-View(FoV)while retaining the object features of *** results show that these diffractive denoisers can efficiently remove salt and pepper noise and image rendering-related spatial artifacts from input phase or intensity images while achieving an output power efficiency of~30–40%.We experimentally demonstrated the effectiveness of this analog denoiser architecture using a 3D-printed diffractive visual processor operating at the terahertz *** to their speed,power-efficiency,and minimal computational overhead,all-optical diffractive denoisers can be transformative for various image display and projection systems,including,e.g.,holographic displays.

Phosphorus fertilizers from less pure sedimentary sources become increasingly important, due to depletion of phosphorus from igneous rock of high quality. Consequently, robust methods with potential to remove various types of hazardous elements are required. Among such impurities, hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)) is very likely to become a future challenge. Different industrial ways to treat phosphate rock are currently being practised, and we have here studied how chromium behaves when using the nitro-phosphate process. The reduction mechanism of Cr (VI) in nitric acid and phosphoric acid solutions was investigated by measuring redox potential and UV-VIS spectra. The results show that Cr (VI) is not stable in strong nitric acid solutions. Reduction of Cr (VI) species decreased with decreasing temperature, NO2 concentration, ionic strength and absence of light. Much effort has been made to uncover the cellular heterogeneities of human hearts by single-nucleus RNA ***,the cardiac transcriptional regulation networks have not been systematically described because of the limitations in detecting transcription *** this study,we optimized a pipeline for isolating nuclei and conducting single-nucleus RNA sequencing targeted to detect a higher number of cell signal genes and an optimal number of transcription *** this unbiased protocol,we characterized the cellular composition of healthy human hearts and investigated the transcriptional regulation networks involved in determining the cellular identities and functions of the main cardiac cell *** in fibroblasts,a novel regulator,PKNOX2,was identified as being associated with physiological fibroblast activation in healthy *** validate the roles of these transcription factors in maintaining homeostasis,we used single-nucleus RNA-sequencing analysis of transplanted failing hearts focusing on fibroblast *** trajectory analysis suggested that PKNOX2 was abnormally decreased from fibroblast activation to pathological myofibroblast *** gain-and loss-of-function in vitro experiments demonstrated the inhibitory role of PKNOX2 in pathological fibrosis ***,fibroblast-specific overexpression and knockout of PKNOX2 in a heart failure mouse model induced by transverse aortic constriction surgery significantly improved and aggravated myocardial fibrosis,*** summary,this study established a high-quality pipeline for single-nucleus RNA-sequencing analysis of heart *** this optimized protocol,we described the transcriptional regulation networks of the main cardiac cell subtypes and identified PKNOX2 as a novel regulator in suppressing fibrosis and a potential therapeutic target for future translational studies.
