The UNESCO label of World Heritage can attract a high number of tourists to heritage properties for their Outstanding Universal Values(OUV).Although international studies have demonstrated the World Heritage system can contribute to stimulating cultural tourism and boosting the local economy,how this heritage-led development process promotes urban conservation and morphological changes in cities is yet to be explored *** paper aims to explore the urban morphology of a historic Chinese city after its inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List,taking the Old Town of Lijiang as *** methods of spatial plan analysis and discourse analysis are used to analyse the *** research findings have demonstrated that,theoretically,the Conzenian approach of urban morphology can be an effective framework for World Heritage ***,the analysis of spatial plans and multi-stakeholder interviews can reveal local urban morphology from macro to micro ***-specifically in Lijiang,urban physical characteristics and building structures have been well maintained while traditional social fabric and neighbourhood networks have almost *** research has incorporated the urban morphology approach into(world)heritage management in China,as well as worldwide,in order to maintain the balance between urban conservation and economic growth.

Quantitative phase imaging(QPI)is a label-free computational imaging technique used in various fields,including biology and medical *** QPI systems typically rely on digital processing using iterative algorithms for phase retrieval and image ***,we report a diffractive optical network trained to convert the phase information of input objects positioned behind random diffusers into intensity variations at the output plane,all-optically performing phase recovery and quantitative imaging of phase objects completely hidden by unknown,random phase *** QPI diffractive network is composed of successive diffractive layers,axially spanning in total~70λ,where is the illumination wavelength;unlike existing digital image reconstruction and phase retrieval methods,it forms an all-optical processor that does not require external power beyond the illumination beam to complete its QPI reconstruction at the speed of light *** all-optical diffractive processor can provide a low-power,high frame rate and compact alternative for quantitative imaging of phase objects through random,unknown diffusers and can operate at different parts of the electromagnetic spectrum for various applications in biomedical imaging and *** presented QPI diffractive designs can be integrated onto the active area of standard CCD/CmOS-based image sensors to convert an existing optical microscope into a diffractive QPI microscope,performing phase recovery and image reconstruction on a chip through light diffraction within passive structured layers.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between lower urinary tract symptoms （LUTSs）, erectile dysfunction （ED） and symptomatic late-onset hypogonadism （SLOH） in ageing men in the Aegean region of Turkey. Five hundred consecutive patients 〉40 years old who had been in a steady sexual relationship for the past 6 months and were admitted to one of six urology clinics were included in the study. Serum prostate-specific antigen and testosterone levels and urinary flow rates were measured. All patients filled out the International Prostate Symptom Score and Quality of Life （IPSS-QoL）, International Index of Erectile Function （IIEF） and Aging males＇ Symptoms （AmS） scale forms. Of the patients, 23.9% had mild LUTSs, 53.3% had moderate LUTSs and 22.8% had severe LUTSs. The total testosterone level did not differ between groups. Additionally, 69.6% had ED. The presence of impotence increased with increasing LUTS severity. Symptomatic late-onset hypogonadism （AmS 〉27） was observed in 71.2% of the patients. The prevalence of severe hypogonadism symptoms increased with the IPSS scores. A correlation analysis revealed that all three questionnaire scores were significantly correlated. In conclusion, LUTS severity is an age-independent risk factor for ED and SLOH. LUTS severity and SLOH symptoms appear to have a strong link that requires etiological and biological clarification in future studies.

AIm:To determine the outcome of patients with biliary fistula(BF)after treatment for hydatid disease of the liver. mETHODS:Between January 2000 and December 2010,out of 301 patients with a diagnosis of hydatid cyst of the liver,282 patients who underwent treatment [either surgery or puncture,aspiration,injection and reaspiration(PAIr)procedure]were *** were grouped according to the presence or absence of postoperative biliary fistula(PBF)(PBF vs no-PBF groups,respectively).Preoperative clinical,radiological and laboratory characteristics,operative characteristics including type of surgery,peroperative detection of BF,postoperative drain output,morbidity,mortality and length of hospital stays of patients were compared amongst *** analysis was performed to detect factors predictive of *** operative characteristics(rOC)curve analysis were used to determine ideal cutoff values for those variables found to be significant.A comparison was also made between patients whose fistula closed spontaneously(CS)and those with intervention in order to find predictive fac-tors associated with spontaneous closure. rESULTS:Among 282 patients[median(range)age, 23(16-78)years;77.0%male];210(74.5%)were treated with conservative surgery,33(11.7%)radical surgery and 39(13.8%)underwent percutaneous drainage with PAIr procedure A PBF developed in 46(16.3%) patients,all within 5 d after *** maximum cyst diameter and preoperative alkaline phosphatase levels(U/L)were significantly higher in the PBF group than in the no-PBF group[10.5±3.7 U/L vs 8.4±3.5 U/L(Prespectively].Hospitalization time was also significantly longer in the PBF group than in the no-PBF group[37.4±18.0 d vs 22.4±17.9 d(Preoperative high alanine aminotransferase level(>40 U/L)and a peroperative attempt for fistula closure were significant predictors of PBF development (P=0.02,95%CI:-0.03-0.5 and P=0.001,95%CI:0.1-

Anodic behavior of pure Au as compared to platinum （Pt） in H2SO4 solutions was considered by different electrochemical techniques for an appropriate insight. Cyclic voltammetry studies showed two oxidation and one film reduction peaks for Au, while one oxygen evolution reaction for Pt. Increasing H2804 concentration （from 0.5 to 1 mol/L） caused 2-fold increases in peak current density of Au. Increase in agitation promoted passive zone of Au, while it was negligible for Pt by potentiodynamic studies. Potentiostatic studies （2 h） at three anodic passive potentials in 1 mol/L H2SO4 showed that the admittance of Au was found to be the lowest at 1.4 V. Electrochemical noise measurements during the decay periods （16 h） after polarization showed that the thin passive film formed during potentiostatic polarization has been dissolved.

以安纳托利亚东南部的天然沥青岩为原料制备泡沫炭。所制泡沫炭的平均孔径和密度分别为150μm和800 kg/m3。主要研究了压力、温度、泄压时间及在最高温度时的停留时间对泡沫形成的影响,同时还评价了炭化过程对泡沫结构的影响。主要研究了压力、温度、泄压时间及在最高温度时的停留时间对泡沫炭进行了表征,并进行了密度及抗压强度分析。结果表明,1 323 K炭化后,泡沫炭压缩强度由10 mPa增加到18.7 mPa。沥青的灰分含量(41.76%)对泡沫炭的密度和压缩强度起重要作用。
