Extensive work on a Cu-modified TiO_(2) photocatal.st for CO_(2) reduction under visibl. l.ght irradiation was conducted. The structure of the copper cocatal.st was establ.shed using UV-vis diff use refl.ectance spectroscopy, high-resol.tion transmis- sion el.ctron microscopy, X-ray absorption spectroscopy, and X-ray photoel.ctron spectroscopy. It was found that copper exists in different states (Cu 0 , Cu^(+) , and Cu^(2+) ), the content of which depends on the TiO_(2) cal.ination temperature and copper l.ading. The optimum composition of the cocatal.st has a photocatal.st based on TiO_(2) cal.ined at 700℃ and modified with 5 wt% copper, the activity of which is 22 μmol.(h·g cat ) (409 nm). Anal.sis of the photocatal.sts after the photocatal.tic reaction discl.sed that the copper metal.on the surface of the cal.ined TiO_(2) was gradual.y converted into Cu_(2) O during the photocatal.tic reaction. Meanwhil., the metal.ic copper on the surface of the noncal.ined TiO_(2) did not undergo any trans- formation during the reaction.

BACKGROUND The association between the intestinal.microbiota and psychiatric disorders is becoming increasingl. *** gut microbiota contributes to col.rectal.carcinogenesis(CRC),as demonstrated with col.bactin-producing Escherichia col.(CoPEC).AIM To eval.ate the association between CoPEC preval.nce and anxiety-and depressive-l.ke behaviors with both precl.nical.and cl.nical.*** Patients fol.owed after a CRC surgery and for whom the preval.nce of CoPEC has been investigated underwent a psychiatric *** were compared according to the CoPEC *** paral.el.C57Bl./J wil. type mice and mice with a CRC susceptibil.ty were chronical.y infected with a CoPEC *** behavior was assessed using the El.vated Pl.s Maze test,the Forced Swimming Test and the Behavior recognition system PhenoTyper®.RESUl.S In a l.mited cohort,al. patients with CoPEC col.nization presented with psychiatric disorders several.years before cancer diagnosis,whereas onl. one patient(17%)without CoPEC *** resul. was confirmed in C57Bl./J wil.type mice and in a CRC susceptibil.ty mouse model.adenomatous pol.posis col.mul.ipl. intestinal.neopl.sia/+).Mice exhibited a significant increase in anxiety-and depressive-l.ke behaviors after chronic infection with a CoPEC *** This finding provides the first evidence that CoPEC infection can induce microbiota-gut-brain axis disturbances in addition to its procarcinogenic properties.

The co-pyrol.sis of coal.and biomass has proven to be a promising route to produce l.quid and gaseous fuel. as wel. as specific val.e-added chemical. whil. contributing to mitigating CO_(2) *** interactions between the co-processed feedstocks,however,need to be el.cidated to support the devel.pment of such a thermochemical.conversion *** this context,the present work covers the kinetic anal.sis of the co-pyrol.sis of a bituminous coal.with popl.r *** this research,biomass was bl.nded with coal.at two different mass ratios(10%(mass)and 20%(mass)).Thermogravimetric anal.ses were carried out with pure and bl.nded sampl.s at four heating rates(5,10,15 and 30℃·min^(-1)).A direct comparison of experimental.and theoretical.resul.s(based on a simpl. additivity rul.)fail.d to yiel. a cl.ar-cut concl.sion regarding the existence of synergistic *** anal.ses have therefore been achieved using two model.free methods(the Ozawa-Fl.nn-Wal. and Kissinger-Akahira-Sunose model.)to estimate the rate constant parameters rel.ted to the pyrol.sis process.A significant decrease of the activation energy has thus been observed when adding wood to coal.activation energies associated with the bl.nd containing 20%(mass)of biomass being even l.wer than those estimated for pure wood at l.w conversion degrees).This trend was attributed to the possibl. presence of synergies whose rel.ted mechanisms are *** rate constant parameters derived by means of the two tested model. were final.y used to simul.te the evol.tion of the conversion degree of each sampl. as a function of the temperature,thus l.ading to a satisfying agreement between measured and simul.ted data.

Micronutrients deficiency is a major l.miting factor for increasing yiel. and productivity of major crops in India. Recent findings of mul.ipl. micronutrients interactions have evidenced the indispensabl. rol. pl.yed by micronutrients in pl.nt nutrition. Though they are needed in smal.er quantities, however, their avail.bil.ty in the Right amount, at the Right time, and for the Right crop has been a major l.miting factor for improving the productivity and yiel. of Sugarcane in northern Karnataka state of India. This study was conducted to assess the l.vel.of Boron (B), Copper (Cu), Iron (Fe), Manganese (Mn) and Zinc (Zn) deficiencies in Sugarcane growing Vertisol. of six micro-watersheds in northern Karnataka. The six sel.cted micro-watersheds were intensivel. traversed and six representative pedons of standard dimensions were dug and horizon-wise soil.sampl.s col.ected and anal.zed for various micronutrients using standard anal.tical.procedures. Based on the optimum critical.l.vel. of micronutrients, B, Fe and Zn were deficient, ranging from 0.15 - 0.64, 1.23 - 5.92 and 0.11 - 0.64 mg⋅kg−1 respectivel. whil. Cu and Mn were in excess, ranging from 1.54 - 7.62 and 1.22 - 7.03 mg⋅kg−1 respectivel.. The distribution of B, Fe and Zn were inversel. proportional.to soil.depth whereas that of Cu and Mn were irregul.r, which is an indication of the infl.ence of pedoturbation in these soil.. With the current rate of agricul.ural.intensification, unbal.nced fertil.zer appl.cation, depl.tion of nutrients and no repl.nishment by smal.hol.ers, the resul.s reveal.that the current deficiency l.vel. may increase further if appropriate and timel. actions are not taken. We therefore recommend the use of site-specific nutrient management, bal.nced fertil.zer appl.cation and good agronomic practices. These can enhance nutrient use efficiency in the study area.
