Cotton fibers are single cells originating in the epidermis of cotton ovules,and serve as the largest natural fiber source for the textile *** theory,all epidermal cells have the potential to develop into fibers,but only 15%–25%of epidermis cells develop into commercially viable lint *** previously showed that Gh Lac1 participates in cotton defense against biotic *** we report that Gh Lac1 also has a role in cotton fiber *** Lac1 RNAi lines in cotton showed increased differentiation of fiber initials from epidermis and shortened fiber length,resulting in unchanged lint *** of Gh Lac1 expression led to constitutively hyperaccumulated jasmonic acid(JA)and flavonoids in ovules and fiber *** vitro ovule culture experiments confirmed the distinct roles of JA and flavonoids in fiber initiation and elongation,and showed that fiber development is spatially regulated by these chemicals:the increased fiber initiation in Gh Lac1 RNAi lines is caused by hyperaccumulated JA and rutin content during the fiber initiation stage and shortened fiber length is caused by constitutively increased JA and naringenin content during the fiber elongation stage.

Background： Garlic extracts have been reported to be effective in reducing methanogenesis. Related mechanisms are not well illustrated, however, and most studies have been conducted in vitro. This study investigates the effects of supplementary allicin（AL） in sheep diet on in vivo digestibility, rumen fermentation, and shifts of microbial ***： Two experiments were conducted using Dorper × thin-tailed Han crossbred ewes. In experiment 1,eighteen ewes（60.0 ± 1.73 kg BW） were randomly assigned for 29 days to either of two dietary treatments： a basal diet or the basal diet supplemented with 2.0 g AL/head？day to investigate supplementary AL on nutrient digestibility and methane emissions. In experiment 2, six ewes（65.2 ± 2.0 kg BW） with ruminal canulas were assigned to the same two dietary treatments as in experiment 1 for 42 days to investigate supplementary AL on ruminal fermentation and microbial flora. The methane emissions were determined using an open-circuit respirometry system and microbial assessment was done by q PCR of 16 S r RNA ***： Supplementary AL increased the apparent digestibility of organic matter（P 〈 0.001）, nitrogen（P = 0.006）,neutral detergent fiber（P 〈 0.001）, and acid detergent fiber（P = 0.002）. Fecal nitrogen output was reduced（P = 0.001）but urinary nitrogen output was unaffected（P = 0.691）, while nitrogen retention（P = 0.077） and nitrogen retention/nitrogen intake（P = 0.077） tended to increase. Supplementary AL decreased methane emissions scaled to metabolic bodyweight by 5.95 %（P = 0.007） and to digestible organic matter intake by 8.36 %（P = 0.009）. Ruminal p H was unaffected（P = 0.601） while ammonia decreased（P = 0.024） and total volatile fatty acids increased（P = 0.024） in response to supplementary AL. Supplementary AL decreased the population of methanogens（P = 0.001） and tended to decrease that of protozoans（P = 0.097）, but increased the populations of F. succinogenes（P 〈 0.001）, R. flavefaciens（P = 0.001）, and B. fibris

Background： Dorper is an important breed for meat purpose and widely used in the livestock industry of the ***, the protein requirement of Dorper crossbred has not been investigated. The current paper reports the net protein（NP） and metabolizable protein（MP） requirements of Dorper crossbred ram lambs from 20 to 35 kg ***： Thirty-five Dorper × thin-tailed Han crossbred lambs weaned at approximately 50 d of age（20.3 ± 2.15 kg of BW） were used. Seven lambs of 25 kg BW were slaughtered as the baseline animals at the start of the trial. An intermediate group of seven randomly selected lambs fed ad libitum was slaughtered at 28.6 kg BW. The remaining 21 lambs were randomly divided into three levels of dry matter intake： ad libitum or 70% or 40% of ad libitum intake. Those lambs were slaughtered when the lambs fed ad libitum reached 35 kg BW. Total body N and N retention were ***： The daily NP and MP requirements for maintenance were 1.89 and 4.52 g/kg metabolic shrunk BW（SBW0.75）.The partial efficiency of MP utilization for maintenance was 0.42. The NP requirement for growth ranged from 12.1 to 43.5 g/d, for the lambs gaining 100 to 350 g/d, and the partial efficiency of MP utilization for growth was ***： The NP and MP requirements for the maintenance and growth of Dorper crossbred male lambs were lower than the recommendations of American and British nutritional systems.

The Internet Control Message Protocol(ICMP)covert tunnel refers to a network attack that encapsulates malicious data in the data part of the ICMP protocol for *** concealment is stronger and it is not easy to be *** detection methods are detecting the existence of channels instead of clarifying specific attack *** this paper,we propose an ICMP covert tunnel attack intent detection framework ICMPTend,which includes five steps:data collection,feature dictionary construction,data preprocessing,model construction,and attack intent *** can detect a variety of attack intentions,such as shell attacks,sensitive directory access,communication protocol traffic theft,filling tunnel reserved words,and other common network *** extract features from five types of attack intent found in ICMP *** build a multi-dimensional dictionary of malicious features,including shell attacks,sensitive directory access,communication protocol traffic theft,filling tunnel reserved words,and other common network attack *** the high-dimensional and independent characteristics of ICMP traffic,we use a support vector machine(SVM)as a multi-class *** experimental results show that the average accuracy of ICMPTend is 92%,training ICMPTend only takes 55 s,and the prediction time is only 2 s,which can effectively identify the attack intention of ICMP.

Indoor visual localization,i.e.,6 Degree-of-Freedom camera pose estimation for a query image with respect to a known scene,is gaining increased attention driven by rapid progress of applications such as robotics and augmented ***,drastic visual discrepancies between an onsite query image and prerecorded indoor images cast a significant challenge for visual *** this paper,based on the key observation of the constant existence of planar surfaces such as floors or walls in indoor scenes,we propose a novel system incorporating geometric information to address issues using only pixelated *** the system implementation,we contribute a hierarchical structure consisting of pre-scanned images and point cloud,as well as a distilled representation of the planar-element layout extracted from the original dataset.A view synthesis procedure is designed to generate synthetic images as complementary to that of a sparsely sampled ***,a global image descriptor based on the image statistic modality,called block mean,variance,and color(BMVC),was employed to speed up the candidate pose identification incorporated with a traditional convolutional neural network(CNN)*** results on a popular benchmark demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms the state-of-the-art approaches in terms of visual localization validity and accuracy.

Antibody Levels and Infection Status of Pertussis in the Population under Pertussis Resurgence in Guangxi in 2018:A Cross-Sectional Survey

Objective Pertussis cases have increased markedly since 2018 in *** aim of this study was to evaluate antibody levels and the infection status of pertussis in the resident *** A total of 10,215 serum samples from residents were collected from August-November 2018 and tested for anti-pertussis IgG and toxin IgG using the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results Of the collected samples,1,833(17.94%)tested positive for anti-pertussis IgG,with the median concentration of 16.06 IU/*** leveltussis toxin IgG,of which 653(8.24%)tested positive(≥40 IU/mL)with the median concentration of 5.89 IU/mL,and 204 participants(2.56%)had recent pertussis infection(≥100 IU/mL).Among the different age groups,the highest rates of positivity and recent infection were observed at 11-20 years of age,the lowest positivity rate at 5 years of age,and the lowest recent infection rate at 4 years of age(Ptussis,which was one of the main factors contributing to the resurgence of pertussis in *** addition,the prevalence of pertussis is relatively high in Guangxi,and its incidence is seriously underestimated,especially in adolescents and adults.
