Correlations among free radicals, apparent activation energy, and functional groups during lowtemperature oxidation of Jurassic coal in Northern Shaanxi were investigated by examining three coal samples collected from the Ningtiaota, Jianxin, and Shigetai coal mines. Free radical concentrations at less than 120 ℃ were investigated by electron spin resonance experiments while the thermogravimetric experiments were conducted to analyze apparent activation energies. In addition, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy was employed to study the spectrum of functional groups generated in coal. The results indicated that, in decreasing order, the apparent activation energies were Shigetai 〉Jianxin 〉 Ningtiaota, indicating that, from 50 to 120 ℃, the Ningtiaota coal sample most easily absorbed and reacted with oxygen while the most resistant was the Shigetai coal sample. Free radical concentrations and line heights increased with increased temperature, and the line width and Lande factor showed irregular fluctuations. Functional group variations were different among these coals, and the phenol and alcohol-associated OHs, carboxyls, and aromatic ring double bonds might have had a major impact on free radical concentrations. These results were meaningful for better consideration and management of coal oxidation at low temperatures.

The experimental studies of the flaring gate pier applied on the surface spillway in a high-arch dam show that a shock-wave will appear when the pattern of the flow is kept as super-critical. Meanwhile, the water depth at the outlet increases significantly, the flow moves downward in different directions, and the plunging jet is in a narrow and long shape, with a full longitudinal diffusion. In addition, the variation of the flaring gate pier design parameters affects little the discharge capacity of the surface spillway, these parameters including the contraction ratio fl, the contraction angle c~ and the spillway chute angle O. The pressure on the bottom of the spillway increases along the way and reaches the maximum before the outlet, and then decreases rapidly. Due to the flow impacting, the pressure on both sidewalls increases abruptly at the turning line of the flaring gate pier. To see the characteristics of the flow in the flaring gate pier, a simple calculation method is suggested based on the conversation of energy and mass, and the calculation methods for the jet trajectory and the horizontal length in air are also proposed. The results are found in good agreement with experimental data.

BACKGROUND Obesity is a state in which excess heat is converted into excess fat,which accumulates in the body and may cause damage to multiple organs of the circulatory,endocrine,and digestive *** have shown that the accumulation of abdominal fat and mesenteric fat hypertrophy in patients with obesity makes laparoscopic surgery highly difficult,which is not conducive to operation and affects patient ***,there is still controversy regarding these *** To explore the relationship between body mass index(BMI)and short-term prognosis after surgery for colorectal *** PubMed,Embase,Ovid,Web of Science,CNKI,and China Biology Medicine Disc databases were searched to obtain relevant articles on this *** the articles were screened according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria and the risk of literature bias was assessed using the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale,the prognostic indicators were combined and *** A total of 16 articles were included for quantitative analysis,and 15588 patients undergoing colorectal cancer surgery were included in the study,including 3775 patients with obesity and 11813 patients without *** them,12 articles used BMI≥30 kg/m^(2)and 4 articles used BMI≥25 kg/m^(2)for the definition of *** patients underwent robotic colorectal surgery,whereas 12 underwent conventional laparoscopic colorectal *** quality of the literature was ***-combined analysis showed that the overall complication rate of patients with obesity after surgery was higher than that of patients without obesity[OR=1.35,95%CI:1.23-1.48,Z=6.25,P<0.0001].The incidence of anastomotic leak after surgery in patients with obesity was not significantly different from that in patients without obesity[OR=0.99,95%CI:0.70-1.41),Z=-0.06,P=0.956].The incidence of surgical site infection(SSI)after surgery in patients with obesity was higher than that in patients without obesity[OR=1.43,95%CI:1.16-1.78,Z=3.

In hydraulic engineering,free-surface aeration is a natural phenomenon occurring in smooth channel *** self-aerated flows,a key aspect that has not yet been well understood is the formation mechanism of free-surface air *** this research,the process of free-surface entrapped deformation is analyzed theoretically and the critical radius of curvature for air entrainment is obtained,affected by flow mean velocity and *** the severity of local free-surface deformation exceeds the critical condition,the entrapped free surface encounters closure in the unstable deformation movement process,resulting in air *** inference agrees well with observed experimental results that are obtained from the processes of surface entrapped deformation and air entrainment captured by a high-speed camera-based data acquisition *** agreement indicates that self-aeration occurs in low-velocity open-channel *** is also confirmed that free-surface turbulent deformation provides a mechanism for air entrainment.

Texture and inhibitor features of grain-oriented pure iron produced by different cold-rolling processes

To promote the manufacture of grain-oriented pure iron, the texture and inhibitor features of two samples A and B produced by different cold-rolling processes were studied by optical microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and transmission electron microscopy. The results showed that a higher content of inhibitor elements directly resulted in a greater number of fine inhibitors, which exhibited strong inhibitory ability, leading to more fine precipitates of appropriate size effectively inhibiting the growth of primary grains in decarburized bands （sheets） during the single-stage cold-rolling process. The formation of the component with { 110}〈001〉 Goss orientation was greatly suppressed in the stage of primary recrystallization, and this component could hardly be observed in the decarburized band; by contrast, the {411 }〈148〉-oriented grains grew. During the process of high-temperature annealing, abnormal growth occurred and secondary recrystallized grains （Goss orientation） merged with other matrix grains such as { 111 }〈112〉 and {411 }〈148〉. The magnetic induction of samples A and B at 800 Aim was 1.939 T and 1.996 T, respectively.

In order to achieve maximization of parallelism, effective distribution of rendering tasks, balance between performance and flexibility in graphics processing pipeline, this article presents design, performance analysis and optimization for multi-core interactive graphics processing unit （MIGPU）. This processor integrates twelve processing cores with specific instruction set architecture and many sophisticated application-specific accelerators into a 3D graphics engine. It is implemented on XC6VLX550T field programmable gate array （FPGA）. MIGPU supports OpenGL2.0 with programmable front-end processor, vertex shader, plane clipper, geometry transformer, three-D clippers and pixel shaders. For boosting the performance of MIGPU, the relationship model is established between primitive types, vertices, pixels, and the effect of culling, clipping, and memory access, and shows a way to improve the speed up of the graphics pipeline. It is capable of assigning graphics rendering tasks to different processors for efficiency and flexibility. The pixel filling rate can reach to 40 Mpixel/s at its peak performance.
