Visualizing the Transport of Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus in Live Cells by Quantum Dots-Based Single Virus Tracking

Quantum dots(QDs)-based single particle analysis technique enables real-time tracking of the viral infection in live cells with great sensitivity over a long period of *** porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus(PRRSV)is a small virus with the virion size of 40–60 nm which causes great economic losses to the swine industry worldwide.A clear understanding of the viral infection mechanism is essential for the development of effective antiviral *** this study,we labeled the PRRSV with QDs using the streptavidin–biotin labeling system and monitored the viral infection process in live *** results indicated that the labeling method had negligible effect on viral *** also observed that prior to the entry,PRRSV vibrated on the plasma membrane,and entered the cells via endosome mediated cell entry *** moved in a slow–fast–slow oscillatory movement pattern and finally accumulated in a perinuclear region of the *** results also showed that once inside the cell,PRRSV moved along the microtubule,microfilament and vimentin cytoskeletal *** the transport process,virus particles also made contacts with non-muscle myosin heavy chainⅡ-A(NMHCⅡ-A),visualized as small spheres in *** study can facilitate the application of QDs in virus infection imaging,especially the smaller-sized viruses and provide some novel and important insights into PRRSV infection mechanism.

An Intelligent Forecasting Model for Disease Prediction Using Stack Ensembling Approach

This research work proposes a new stack-based generalization ensemble model to forecast the number of incidences of conjunctivitis *** addition to forecasting the occurrences of conjunctivitis incidences,the proposed model also improves performance by using the ensemble *** rate of acute Conjunctivitis per 1000 for Hong Kong is collected for the duration of the first week of January 2010 to the last week of December ***-processing techniques such as imputation of missing values and logarithmic transformation are applied to pre-process the data sets.A stacked generalization ensemble model based on Auto-ARIMA(Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average),NNAR(Neural Network Autoregression),ETS(Exponential Smoothing),HW(Holt Winter)is proposed and applied on the *** analysis is conducted on the collected dataset of conjunctivitis disease,and further compared for different performance *** result shows that the RMSE(Root Mean Square Error),MAE(Mean Absolute Error),MAPE(Mean Absolute Percentage Error),ACF1(Auto Correlation Function)of the proposed ensemble is decreased *** the RMSE,for instance,error values are reduced by 39.23%,9.13%,20.42%,and 17.13%in comparison to Auto-ARIMA,NAR,ETS,and HW model *** research concludes that the accuracy of the forecasting of diseases can be significantly increased by applying the proposed stack generalization ensemble model as it minimizes the prediction error and hence provides better prediction trends as compared to Auto-ARIMA,NAR,ETS,and HW model applied discretely.

The rapid expansion of Internet of Things(IoT)devices deploys various sensors in different applications like homes,cities and *** applications depend upon the accuracy of sensor ***,it is necessary to predict faults in the sensor and isolate their cause.A novel primitive technique named fall curve is presented in this paper which characterizes sensor *** technique identifies the faulty sensor and determines the correct working of the *** sources of sensor faults are explained in detail whereas various faults that occurred in sensor nodes available in IoT devices are also presented in tabular *** prediction in digital and analog sensors along with methods of sensor fault prediction are *** are several advantages and disadvantages of sensor fault prediction methods and the fall curve ***,some solutions are provided to overcome the limitations of the fall curve *** this paper,a bibliometric analysis is carried out to visually analyze 63 papers fetched from the Scopus database for the past five *** novelty is to predict a fault before its occurrence by looking at the fall *** sensing of current flow in devices is important to prevent a major ***,the fall curves of ACS712 current sensors configured on different devices are drawn for predicting faulty or non-faulty *** analysis result proved that if any of the current sensors gets faulty,then the fall curve will differ and the value will immediately drop to *** evaluation metrics for fault prediction are also described in this *** last,this paper also addresses some possible open research issues which are important to deal with false IoT sensor data.

Depletion of the Ozone Layer and Its Consequences: A Review

Ozone (O3) is a stratospheric layer that plays important role in providing support to humans for their survival. It is an essential factor for many global, biological and environmental phenomena. The ultra-violet (UV) rays emitted from sun are captured by ozone and thereby provide a stable ontological structure in the biosphere. Various anthropogenic activities such as emissions of CFCs, HCFCs and other organo-halogens lead to the depletion of ozone. The ozone depletion resulted in secondary production of an ozone layer near the ground (terrestrial ozone layer), which is responsible for adverse effects on plants, humans and environment with increased number of bronchial diseases in humans. The mutations caused by UV rays result in variation in morphogenic traits of plants which ultimately decreases crop productivity. However, UV radiation is required in optimum intensity for both plants and animals. This review takes into an account the wide ranging effects of ozone depletion with a majority of them being detrimental to the plant system.
