Ojective: To evaluate the effectiveness of cytolygy and colposcopy in the follow-up of women treated by laser CO2 vaporization for cervical intraepithelian nelplasia (CIN)Methods: 1,784 patients treated with CO2 laser vaporization from 1998 to, 2003and with more than one post-operative follow-up were eligible for this study. All cytological resuits and colplscopy assessments were analyzed retrospectively. Results:Fifty percent had low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia(HSIL), and 50 percent had high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia(HSIL), with no significant age difference in both groups (mean 27, 6years). The success rate of treatment of HSIL(91.2% )was similar to that of LSIL(91.
