Surface finishing is essential for various applications in the aerospace *** of the applications is the poppet valve,which is used for leak-proof sealing of high-pressure gases in aerospace gas propulsion *** combustion engine also typically employs a poppet valve as an intake and exhaust ***-finishing a poppet valve is difficult because of its complex narrow *** precise nano-finished poppet valve perfectly fits on its seat and reduces hydrocarbon *** rotational-magnetorheological fluid-based finishing process can be used effectively for these complicated *** polishing agent in this process is magnetorheological fluid,and rheological properties are controlled by a permanent *** article presents the uniform finishing of the poppet valve's narrow ridge profile,which is analyzed through finite element analysis(FEA),wherein the outcomes are uniform shear stress,normal stress,and magnetic flux density distributions along the poppet ridge *** study of forces exerting on abrasive grains and surface roughness simulation is also conducted using FEA *** experiment is subsequently performed to verify the simulation results for poppet profile *** obtained experimental and simulated surface roughness values are *** the finishing process,the maximum percentage improvement of surface roughness is obtained as 93.71%.The rotational-magnetorheological fluid-based finishing process has high accuracy and reliability for specific applications.

The present study enlightens the two-dimensional analysis of the thermo-mechanical response for a mi-cropolar double porous thermoelastic material with voids(MDPTMWV)by virtue of Eringen’s theory of nonlocal ***-Gibson-Thompson(MGT)heat equation is introduced to the considered model in the context of memory-dependent derivative and variable *** employing the normal mode technique,the non-dimensional coupled governing equations of motion are solved to determine the an-alytical expressions of the displacements,temperature,void volume fractions,microrotation vector,force stress tensors,and equilibrated stress *** two-dimensional graphs are presented to demon-strate the influence of various parameters,such as kernel functions,thermal conductivity,and ***,different generalized thermoelasticity theories with variable conductivity are compared to visualize the variations in the distributions associated with the prior mentioned *** particu-lar cases are also discussed in the presence and absence of different parameters.

Reports of shoshonitic rocks in Precambrian terrains are relatively ***-Grt amphibolites and Hbl-Bt mafic granulites occurring in the migmatitic gneisses of the Chhotanagpur Gneissic Complex(CGC)show calc-alkaline and shoshonitic *** porphyritic,sub-ophitic and poikilitic textures are noted in these *** parent magma was emplaced during the waning phase of the regional ***,these metamafics are similar to the GroupⅢpotassic and ultrapotassic rocks of Foley et al.(1987).The magma was derived from the metasomatized subcontinental lithospheric mantle(SCLM).Subduction-related sediment melts metasomatized the ***,the SCLM is a metasomatized phlogopite-amphibole-spinel-bearing harzburgite.1%–5%batch melting of the SCLM could produce the parental magma of the mafic *** and temperatures of metamorphic equilibration were carried out by pseudosection *** metamorphic assemblage(M_(1):Grt-Cpx-Pl-Qz)in garnetiferous amphibolite equilibrated at 740℃and 8.7 *** Cpx-Pl corona appeared around the garnet during decompression(M_(2):655℃,6 kbar).The Hbl-Pl symplectites around garnet formed during isobaric cooling(M_(3):580℃and 5.9 kbar).The emplacement of shoshonitic magma and subsequent decompression happened at the slab break-off stage of continental collision(~990 Ma).

Together with the development of high-performance advanced electronics,flexible supercapacitors(SCs)with tailored nanostructures have great *** deposited nanosheet arrays of nickel magnesium selenide(NixMg3-xSe4,NMgS)with high capacitance provide high potentials as a positive electrode in flexible *** further enhance their electrochemical properties and long-term cycling stability,a promising strategy of surface engineering with conducting polymer poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)(PEDOT)is *** present work proposes the construction of PEDOT shielded NMgS(P@NMgS-2)on a flexible carbon cloth substrate via a hierarchical electrodeposition *** from the synergistic effect,the P@NMgS-2 exhibits an excellent areal capacitance value of 1440 mF cm^(-2)at 4 mA cm^(-2).A novel shape-adaptable polymer gel electrolyte-assisted flexible quasi-solid-state hybrid SC(FQHSC)device constructed with P@NMgS-2 as a positive electrode and activated carbon as a negative electrode demonstrates the maximum power and energy density values of 14.13 mW cm^(-2)and 0.18 mWh cm^(-2),respectively,followed by outstanding cycling stability(∼100%capacitance retention over 50,000 cycles).Furthermore,the FQHSC device successfully powered electronic devices with no serious degradation upon bending and twisting for wearable electronic applications.

Assessment of Hydrogen Embrittlement Susceptibility and Mechanism(s)in Quench and Tempered AISI 4135 Steel Using A Novel Fast Fracture Test in Bending

A newly proposed rapid fracture test in four-point bending was used to evaluate the effect of tempering on the hydrogen embrittlement(HE)susceptibility of an AISI 4135 steel,where it was tempered to four different strength(or hardness)*** was observed that HE susceptibility increases with the increase in *** was shown that there will be minimal impact of hydrogen(H)on the fracture of materials with hardness 37 HRC and below,even if they are completely saturated with *** the other hand,H will have similar detrimental effect on fracture properties of quench and tempered(Q and T)steels having hardness higher than 45 *** to brittle transition behavior was observed for a critical hardness(or strength)range as well as for a critical concentration level of ***,a critical H concentration was observed to exist for each of the strength *** was performed in addition to microstructural characterization using transmission electron microscopy(TEM).A very good correlation was observed between the fast fracture test results and *** fast fracture test was further compared with a conventional incremental step load(ISL)test for the evaluation of HE *** ISL test results and fracture surface characteristics corroborate very well with the observations from the fast fracture *** study successfully establishes the fast fracture test as a novel technique to study HE susceptibility and mechanism(s).

Rate-dependent mechanical behavior of jointed rock with an impersistent joint under different infill conditions

Transition in the rate-dependent mechanical response of rock was investigated due to the presence of impersistent joint with different infill *** types of samples,***,jointed with no grouting,jointed and grouted with cement,and jointed and grouted with epoxy,were fabricated using model material.A series of dynamic split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB) tests was conducted on prepared samples with strain rates varying between 53-130 salong with static uniaxial compression tests(10s).Progression of fracture/failure along samples was monitored using high-speed imaging and digital image correlation(DIC).Strength was observed to be significantly lower for jointed samples as compared to intact ***,the increasing trend of strength with strain rates remained similar for all types of *** was observed to be a better grout due to greater improvement in the strength of epoxy grouted jointed samples than cement grouted samples under both static and dynamic *** changes were observed in fracture behavior(initiation,pattern and mechanism)with strain rate for intact and jointed unfilled/grouted *** was dominated by shear and tensile cracks at high strain rates compared to tensile cracks at low strain rates in all *** static loading conditions,the location of cracks initiation shifts away from joint tips with increasing strain rate and depending upon existing infill conditions(unfilled/grouted).

Preparation of rice fermented food using root of Asparagus racemosus as herbal starter and assessment of its nutrient profle

The popularity of traditional fermented food products is based on their *** addition of a starter brings consistent,desirable,and predictable food changes with improved nutritive,functional,and sensory *** addition of a mixture of plant residues as a starter or source of microbes is an age-old practice to prepare traditional fermented food and beverages,and most of the reported data on traditional foods were based on the analysis of the fnal *** contribution of an individual starter component(plant residue)is not experimentally substantiated for any traditional fermented food,but this data are very essential for the formulation of an efective *** this study,Asparagus racemosus,which used as a common ingredient of starter for preparation of rice fermented food in the Indian sub-continent,was used as a starter for the preparation of rice fermented food under laboratory scale,and its microbial and nutrient profle was *** fermented product was a good source of lactic acid bacteria,Bifdobacterium sp.,yeast,*** food product was acidic and enriched with lactic acid and acetic acid with titratable acidity of 0.65%.The content of protein,fat,minerals,and vitamins(water-soluble)was considerably *** notably,oligosaccharide(G3-matotriose),unsaturated fatty acids(ω3,ω6,ω7,andω9),and a pool of essential and non-essential amino acids were enriched in the newly formulated ***,the herbal starter-based rice fermented food would provide important macro-and *** could also deliver large numbers of active microorganisms for the sustainability of ***,the selected plant part conferred its suitability as an efective starter for the preparation of healthier rice-based food products.

Molecular and cellular pathophysiology of circulating cardiomyocyte-specific cell free DNA (cfDNA): Biomarkers of heart failure and potential therapeutic targets

Pathological cardiac damage during heart failure is associated with cell death and damage associated molecular patterns (DAMPs) release which triggers a viscous cycle of sterile inflammation to mediate maladaptive cardiac tissue remodelling during the progression to heart failure. DAMPs like cytokines, chemokines, and nuclear or mitochondrial genomic fragments are released in the pathological myocardium. Interestingly, circulating or cytosolic DNA fragments can play a role in the disease by interaction with nucleic acid sensors expressed in cardiomyocyte and non-myocyte neighbouring cells. The circulating cell free DNA (cfDNA) fragments have been clinically reported as markers for various diseases including cardiovascular pathophysiology. Such cfDNA within the DAMP pool can mediate intra- and inter-cellular signalling cascade to upregulate transcriptional expression of inflammatory mediators and trigger oxidative stress within cells. The cellular role of such genomic equivalents varying with chronic or acute stress might be correlated with the cell death forms encountered in myocardium during disease progression. Thus, cfDNA can be phenotypically correlated as a critical player towards upregulation of pathological processes like interstitial fibrosis, cardiomyocyte contractile dysfunction and cell death. Herein, we review the association of cfDNA with heart failure and analyse their potential usage as novel and effective therapeutic targets towards augmentation of cardiac function.
