Nutritional and nutraceutical variability in neglected niger(Guizotia abyssinica(L.f.)Cass.)accessions from Eastern Ghats of India

The exploitation of neglected niger accessions plays a crucial role in future breeding programs aimed to enhance the *** study evaluated the genetic variation in nutritional and nutraceutical compositions of 30 indigenous niger accessions originating from Eastern Ghats of India,and compare them with three improved varieties of the *** proximate compositions(g/100 g)showed significant variations,with moisture ranging from 1.36 g to 4.95 g,ash from 1.06 g to 5.45 g,fat from 28.53 g to 44.11 g,protein from 8.84 g to 18.18 g,carbohydrate from 11.21 g to 35.09 g,fiber from 16.32 g to 26.62 g,and energy from 407.32 kcal to 526.84 *** seeds are rich in phenol 41.10–82.20 mg/g,flavonoid 5.32–15.98μg/g,antioxidant 13.59–31.08%across the *** component analysis revealed that the first two axis explained 41.8%of the total variation,indicating significant differences among *** heritability and genetic advance in percent of mean(GAM)ranged from 61.11%to 99.91%and 12.5%–89.1%among the traits across the *** heritability and GAM recorded in vitamin C,ash content,antioxidant capacity,flavonoid and phenol suggests that these traits may be important for niger breeding ***,some indigenous niger accessions such as Mangardora,Ganjeipadar and Kolabnagar had exceptionally rich in fat,protein and energy contents and are nutritionally superior compared to improved variety of the ***,exceptional rich in flavonoid,antioxidant capacity and vitamin C was recorded in Manahar,Badapada and *** nutrition rich accessions have ample opportunities for future breeding programs aimed to enhance the quality and hold great potential in food industry for making high value functional food.

Evaluating the accuracy of two satellite-based Quantitative Precipitation Estimation products and their application for meteorological drought monitoring over the Lake Victoria Basin,East Africa

This study evaluates the high-resolution satellite estimated long-term precipitation data for monitor-ing the drought condition over the Lake Victoria Basin(LVB)from 1984 to *** Precipitation Indices(SPI)were used to capture the short,medium and long-term meteorological drought conditions at multiple time scales(i.e.3,6,and 12).For these,the following two primaries Quantitative Precipitation Estimation(QPEs)products were employed-1)Climate Hazards group Infra-Red Precipitation with Station(CHIRPS),and 2)the Precipitation Estimation from Remotely Sensed Information using Artificial Neural Network-Climate Data Record(PERSIANN-CDR).This dataset was compared based on the observation data obtained from the Climate Research Unit(CRU)over the nine selected regions surrounding lake *** performance of these two QPEs products was evaluated using seven statistical *** findings of this study indicate that the CHIRPS and PERSIANN-CDR datasets could capture the behavior of drought magnitude based on the time scale of SPI-3,SPI-6,*** results indicate that 2012 and 2017 are significant severe drought years in the recent decade over ***,the CHIRPS datasets provide good agreement(Correlation Coefficient(CC)=0.65)with observation,whereas PERSIANN-CDR present satisfactory results(CC=0.54).In addition,Hurst(H)exponent was used to predict the future drought trend and found that the CHIRPS performed well to predict the degree of drought ***,this study considers the CHIRPS product for near-real-time drought monitoring and PERSIANN-CDR for historical drought ***,the outcome from the H values is greater than 0.5,which indicates the future drought trend would be decreased over *** results are useful for developing the strategies for drought hazards and water resource management in LVB.

Plant growth depends on the continuous availability of the macro-nutrient phosphate(Pi).However,in most soils,Pi is only poorly accessible to plants,resulting in Pi deficiency and triggering a number of Pi starvation *** strategy of plants to over-come Pi limitation is to form a symbiosis with arbuscular mycor-rhizal(AM)fungi(Smith et al.,2011),which occurs with approximately 80%of land *** fungi improve the uptake of Pi and other mineral nutrients and thereby increase plant performance and stress *** collect these minerals with an extraradical hyphal network from the soil and release them from highly branched structures,called arbuscules,into root cortex ***,Pi sufficiency causes inhibition of internal root colonization(Balzergue et al.,2011;Breuillin et al.,2010).The mechanistic basis for this has long remained *** studies have now solved this long-standing mystery and demonstrated that a canonical Pi-response regulatory module regulates AM symbiosis in accordance with the plant Pi status(Shi et al.,2021;das et al.,2022).

Powder mixed electrochemical discharge process for micro machining of C103 niobium alloy

This work demonstrates the viability of the powder-mixed micro-electrochemical discharge machining(PMECDM) process to fabricate micro-holes on C103 niobium-based alloy for high temperature *** processes are involved simultaneously *** erosion,chemical etching,and abrasive grinding for removal of material while the classical electrochemical discharge machining process involves double actions *** erosion,and chemical *** powder-mixed electrolyte process resulted in rapid material removal along with a better surface finish as compared to the classical microelectrochemical discharge machining(MECDM).Further,the results are optimized through a multiobjective optimization approach and study of the surface topography of the hole wall surface obtained at optimized *** the selected range of experimental parameters,PMECDM shows a higher material removal rate(MRR) and lower surface roughness(R_(a))(MRR:2.8 mg/min and R_(a) of 0.61 μm) as compared to the MECDM process(MRR:2.01 mg/min and corresponding Raof 1.11 μm).A detailed analysis of the results is presented in this paper.

BACKGROUND Violence against healthcare workers(HCWs)in the Caribbean continues to prevail yet remains *** aim is to determine the cause,traits,and consequences of violence on HCWs in the *** To determine the cause,traits,and consequences of violence on HCWs in the *** This research adopted an online cross-sectional survey approach,spanning over eight weeks(between June 6th and August 9th,2022).The survey was generated using Research Electronic Data Capture forms and followed a snowballing strategy to contact individuals using emails,social media,text messages,*** regression analysis was performed to evaluate the variables that influence violence,including gender,age,years of experience,institution type,and night shift *** The survey was completed by 225 *** comprised 61%.Over 51%of respondents belonged to the 21 to 35 age ***(n=61),Haiti(n=50),and Grenada(n=31)had the most *** HCWs(49%)worked for government academic institutions,followed by community hospitals(23%).Medical students(32%),followed by attending physicians(22%),and others(16%)comprised the most common cadre of *** 39%of the participants reported experiencing violence themselves,and 18%reported violence against colleague(s).Verbal violence(48%),emotional abuse(24%),and physical misconduct(14%)were the most common types of *** 63%of respondents identified patients or their relatives as the most frequent *** logistic regression analyses demonstrated that female gender(OR=2.08;95%CI:1.16-3.76,P=0.014)and higher frequency of night shifts(OR=2.22;95%CI:1.08-4.58,P=0.030)were associated with significantly higher odds of experiencing *** than 50%of HCWs felt less motivated and had decreased job satisfaction post-violent *** A large proportion of HCWS in the Caribbean are exposed to violence,yet the phenomenon remains *** a result,HCWs’job s

Porous organic polymers(POPs)containing catalytically active sites are of paramount importance for heterogeneous ***,the catalytically active sites of reported POPs are mostly limited to mononuclear metal ***,we report the reaction between catechol-containing POPs(Cat-POPs)and[CuIMes]n to afford the corresponding Cu^(I)_(2)-CatPOPs with a putative vicinal binuclear(catecholate)Cu^(I)_(2)*** resulting Cu^(I)_(2)-CatPOPs exhibit high Brunauer–Emmett–Teller surface areas,good stability,and excellent catalytic activity toward the aerobic oxidation of a broad range of primary and secondary alcohols under mild conditions,with either 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidinyl-N-oxyl or 9-azabicyclo[3.3.0]nonane-N-oxyl as the *** green aerobic oxidation catalysts,the Cu^(I)_(2)-CatPOPs are much more active than the correspondingmononuclear CuIICatPOPs,where each catecholate moiety only supports one CuII center;CuI-ConPOPs,where the binding sites for CuI is a nonvicinal 1,4-dihydroxybenzene moiety;and the homogeneous analogue(3,6-di-tert-butyl catecholate)Cu^(I)_(2).These results are consistent with a proposed vicinal binuclear Cu^(I)_(2)structure that can efficiently activate molecular oxygen for the aerobic oxidation of alcohols,mechanistically similar to that observed in dicopper-containing *** results demonstrate the facile preparation of POPs with binuclear catalytically active sites that function as green heterogeneous catalysts for efficient oxidation of alcohols.

The neural network has attracted researchers immensely in the last couple of years due to its wide applications in various areas such as Data mining,Natural language processing,Image processing,and Information retrieval *** embedding has been applied by many researchers for Information retrieval *** this paper word embedding-based skip-gram model has been developed for the query expansion *** terms are obtained from the top“k”initially retrieved documents using the Pseudo relevance feedback model and then they are trained using the skip-gram model to find the expansion terms for the user *** performance of the model based on mean average precision is *** proposed model compares with other existing *** improvement of 6.61%,6.93%,and 9.07%on MAP value is observed compare to the Original query,BM25 model,and query expansion with the Chi-Square model *** proposed model also retrieves 84,25,and 81 additional relevant documents compare to the original query,query expansion with Chi-Square model,and BM25 model respectively and thus improves the recall value *** per query analysis reveals that the proposed model performs well in 30,36,and 30 queries compare to the original query,query expansion with Chi-square model,and BM25 model respectively.
