To develop high-hardness and high-strength lightweight high entropy alloys （LHEAs）,a series of CoxAlNbTivCr alloys were *** phase constitution,distribution,and crystal structure of the Laves phase in alloys can be altered by adjusting the composition of HEAs,which in turn influences their mechanical *** Nb Ti vCr （x=0,0.5,1,1.5,and 2,atomic ratio percentage） LHEAs were designed and prepared to characterize the microstructure and tailor the mechanical *** introduction of Co changes the microstructure of LHEAs from a single B2 structure to a mixture dendrite structure,which consists of B2 phase,C14 and C15 Laves *** the C14 and C15 Laves phases exhibit coupled *** parameters including mixing enthalpy (ΔHmix),valence electron concentration （vEC）,atomic radius size （δ）,mixing entropy （ΔS）,and electronegativity difference （Δχ） are used to predict the formation of B2 and Laves phase in *** the Co content increases from 0 to 1.5at.%,Laves phase volume fraction gradually increases,which leads to an enhancement in the compressive strength from 1,520.8 MPa to 1,844.4 ***1.5Al Nb Ti vCr alloy exhibits the maximum vickers hardness of 699.4 *** improvement of mechanical properties mainly originates from solid solution strengthening and second phase strengthening.

Objective:To determine the diagnostic value of ultrasound signs of urinary stones less than or equal to 10 mm and to determine clinico-radiological variants of ureteric ***:A total of 455 ultrasound investigations were performed in patients referring to emergency department with urolithiasis and symptoms suspected of ureteric colic between January 2021 and May *** addition to microscopic evaluation of urine sediment to detect different crystals and non-contrast spiral computed tomography to detect stones,B-mode and color Doppler sonography was performed to assess the presence of acoustic shadow(AS)and twinkle artifacts(TA)as possible signs of stone(s)in ***:While the sensitivity and specificity of AS and TA were higher than 90%in patients with stones greater than 5 mm;positive prognostic values of these parameters were found to be extremely low for stones with sizes of 1-3 mm with specificity and sensitivity values not exceeding 53%.The sensitivity and specificity of AS and TA in the upper and lower ureters were higher for stones greater than or equal to 5 than for compared to those less than 5 *** the same time,the diagnostic values of TA and AS for middle ureter stones were very *** most prevalent clinico-radiological variants of ureteric colic were types I,III,and v being observed in 39%,28% and 21% cases,***:Our results demonstrate that TA and AS parameters seem to have a very low sensitivity and specificity in the diagnosis of urinary stones less than 5 *** diagnostic value of TA and AS increase significantly in stones greater than or equal to 5 ***,clinicians need to be very careful for overestimating the diagnostic values of TA and AS for stones less than 5 mm and non-contrast spiral computed tomography must be the method of choice for patients presenting to emergency department with ureteric colic.

Recent reports suggest that aging is not solely a physiological process in living beings;instead, it should be considered a pathological process or disease(Amorim et al., 2022). Consequently, this process involves a wide range of factors, spanning from genetic to environmental factors, and even includes the gut microbiome(GM)(Mayer et al., 2022). All these processes coincide at some point in the inflammatory process, oxidative stress, and apoptosis, at different degrees in various organs and systems that constitute a living organism(Mayer et al., 2022;AguilarHernández et al., 2023).

Electrostatic precipitation is a process widely used as gas cleaning device,to removal particles from gas ***,in a conventional and well-sized precipitator,the collection efficiency decreases for ultrafine particles,making it difficult to employ this equipment for controlling nanoparticle *** paper investigates the influence of plate spacing(4 and 6.5 cm)and wire spacing(4,6,and 12 cm)on the electric current and nanoparticle collection efficiency,considering the effect of diffusion charging and electrostatic *** laboratory-scale dry wire-plate electrostatic precipitators with different plate spacings were tested for the collection of nanoparticles(6.15–241.4 nm)at three air velocities(1.9,2.9,and 3.9 cm/s).The results demonstrated the effectiveness of the equipment in removing nanoparticles(99.9%)under the highest electric *** values of the wire spacing led to increases in the current and the collection *** was associated with reduced electrostatic shielding,which is more evident in smaller ducts with a higher density of field *** is expected that the findings should improve knowledge on electrostatic precipitation of nanoparticles,enabling optimization of collection efficiency by considering the effects of geometric parameters.

For several centuries,far-field optical microscopy has remained a key instrument in many scientific disciplines,including physical,chemical,and biomedical ***,far-field imaging has many limitations:the spatial resolution is controlled by the diffraction of light,and the imaging speed follows the Nyquist–Shannon sampling *** recent development of super-resolution techniques has pushed the limits of spatial ***,these methods typically require complicated setups and long acquisition times and are still not applicable to deeptissue ***,we report imaging through an ultra-thin fibre probe with a spatial resolution beyond the Abbe limit and a temporal resolution beyond the Nyquist limit simultaneously in a simple and compact *** use the random nature of mode coupling in a multimode fibre,the sparsity constraint and compressive sensing *** new approach of super-resolution endo-microscopy does not use any specific properties of the fluorescent label,such as depletion or stochastic activation of the molecular fluorescent state,and therefore can be used for label-free *** demonstrate a spatial resolution more than 2 times better than the diffraction limit and an imaging speed 20 times faster than the Nyquist *** proposed approach can significantly expand the realm of the application of nanoscopy for bioimaging.

Sparse sums of Lorentzians can give good approximations to functions consisting of linear combination of piecewise continuous functions. To each Lorentzian, two parameters are as- signed： translation and scale. These parameters can be found by using a method for complex fre- quency detection in the frequency domain. This method is based on an alternating projection scheme between Hankel matrices and finite rank operators, and have the advantage that it can be done in weighted spaces. The weighted spaces can be used to partially revoke the effect of finite band-width filters. Apart from frequency extrapolation the method provides a way of estimating discontinuity locations.

Peyronie’s disease(PD)is a benign,progressive fibrotic disorder characterized by scar or plaques within the tunica albuginea(TA)of the *** study provides new insights into the pathogenesis of PD based on data from different studies regarding the roles of cytokines,cell signaling pathways,biochemical mechanisms,genetic factors responsible for fibrogenesis.A growing body of literature has shown that PD is a chronically impaired,localized,wound healing process within the TA and the Smith *** is caused by the influence of different pathological stimuli,most often the effects of mechanical stress during sexual intercourse in genetically sensitive individuals with unusual anatomical TA features,imbalanced matrix metalloproteinase/tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase(MMP/TIMP),and suppressed antioxidant systems during chronic *** intracellular signal cascades are activated during fibrosis along with low expression levels of their negative regulators and transforming growth factor-β1 *** development of multikinase agents with minimal side effects that can block several signal cell pathways would significantly improve fibrosis in PD tissues by acting on common downstream mediators.

Background:Benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)is one of the most common causes of lower urinary tract symp-toms(LUTS)in older ***,there are several plant extracts used for the treatment of LUTS due to ***:The aim of this study is to compare the effect of combining silodosin 8 mg with Serenoa repens,Urtica dioica,Cucurbita pepo(Rotaprost 530 mg)compared to silodosin 8 mg and Rotaprost 530 mg alone in patients with LUTS/***:Four hundred five men with symptomatic BPH were recruited for the study from June 2020 to Jan-uary *** hundred eighty-nine patients were followed up for 6 *** participants provided writ-ten informed *** prospective study included analysis of three treatment groups:Group I patients(n=130)received a combination of silodosin 8 mg and Rotaprost 530 mg(containing a dry extract of Serenoa repens 80 mg,a dry extract of Urtica dioica 150 mg,a dry extract of Cucurbita pepo seeds 200 mg,zinc(in the form of zinc picolinate)0.105 mg,and selenium(as sodium selenite)22.5μg);the group II(n=129)re-ceived silodosin 8 mg alone,and the group III(n=130)received Rotaprost 530 mg *** were measured by changes from baseline in International Prostate Symptom Score(IPPS)total score,PSA value,prostate volume,residual urine after urination,and maximum flow *** significance was set at Pvolume,and maximum urinary flow rate(Qmax)improved significantly(Pvolume in group I showed a significant decrease only during 6 months of therapy(Pverse effects were registered in the three ***:Combination therapy with silodosin 8 mg significantly reduced LUTS/BPH,Qmax,and prostate volume compared with silodosin 8 mg *** 530 mg can also reduce PSA by at least 20.6−25.7%after 6-months of treatment.

This review shows the importance of WO_(3)photoanode as a potentially low-cost,efficient,stable,and photoactive material for light-driven water *** such,this manuscript aims to review the most recent publications regarding the strategies to improve the phoelectroactivity of WO_(3)films for water *** addition,this review aims to graphically highlight and discuss the general trendings of the photocurrent density response and stability test of the recent outstanding studies in the literature for photoelectrochemical water splitting *** strategies covered in this review will not only concern the WO_(3)morphology and crystal plane growth,but also the many arrangements possibilities to improve the WO_(3)efficiency for water photoelectrooxidation,such as defect engineering based on oxygen vacancies,doping,decorations,and homo and *** these strategies are compared by the photocurrent density results and by the stability of these *** best results in this sense were observed in cases where the use of heterojunction was applied together with a desired morphology and crystal plane of the WO_(3)***,the modifications that caused a decrease in the photocurrent density reaching values that are even lower than the pure WO_(3)were also *** this way,this review intends to improve the knowledge about the synthesis and design of WO_(3)photoanodes to further obtain an efficient photocatalyst to minimize the recombination losses or losses across the interfaces and improve the photoelectroactivity for water splitting in the large-scale application.
